    1. Good riddance to a lousy peanut farmer. My family had a peanut butter plant in Georgia and bought peanuts from him. One load was full of aflatoxin, so sent them back.

I knew this guy before anyone ever heard of him. Total sanctimonious jackass. 100% insufferable – 100% of the time.

My wife had lunch at the WH with Carter’s son Chip, who she said was just as bad.

  1. Apparently you do care or you wouldn’t have posted anything. As a matter of fact you’re the first to post, making yourself seem almost enthusiastic about it.

  2. Leave it to the CBC to figure out a way to include Trump and “Russia, Russia, Russia!” in the obit. One really can’t hate them enough.

  3. Whelp, good old Jimmy is only the third worst president the US of A ever had, behind Biden and Obama, sonat least he has that.

        1. Wilson is, by far, the worst. He was the beginning of the progressive democrats. He set the pattern for FDR, LBJ, Obama, and Biden.

          1. Wilson’s influence on the modern left is vastly overrated. He was a mere piker compared to Obama.

          2. Grey, exactly so. Wilson was the moron who buggered up the ending of WW1. In doing so he guaranteed that WW2 would follow and that Hitler would come to power. He guaranteed that Europe would be split up along racist lines. (But then Wilson was racist himself.) Wilson botched the demobilization of the US army, guaranteeing a host of riots across parts of the United States.

His partitioning of the Austro-Hungarian Empire guaranteed new wars and hostilities among the nations. He supported the breakup of the Ottoman Empire, resulting in nearly a century of bloodshed afterwards. He forced the creation of Yugoslavia and the host of wars resulting from that. His creation of the League of Nations was a pathetic joke rightly derided by Americans at the time.

It would be reasonable to say that all of western history for the past century has been attempting to deal with the blunders that Wilson committed. If ever a Presidency could have been corrected by birth control, Woody’s was it.

    1. I’m really gonna miss those days of 21.5% mortgage rates
I’m really gonna miss being told to wear a sweater indoors and turn down the thermostat
I’m really gonna miss those heady days of American malaise
I’m really gonna miss empowering an Iranian Theocracy
I’m really gonna miss Mustang II boredom 0

      1. Not to forget the federally mandated 55 mph speed limit.

Democrats have a bad habit…its called incompetence.

        1. And only Madison Ave. could create a catch phrase that I STILL remember after 45 years … that couldn’t have been any further from the truth. Professional LIARS.

        2. “Bravo for the Mustang II reference, symptom of shrinking American greatness under Carter.”

Under the hood, I remember being surprised to find that they were identical to a Pinto. Same sheet metal, same firewall, same shock towers. Even when they shoehorned a 302 into it they were a dog.

      1. So you are confessing that like Carter you know nothing about radiation or physics or nuclear engineering.

    1. Flashback for me: My dad was one of those men who were sent in for ninety seconds with a pail and a mop. Years later my mom explained they had a discussion about sex afterwards. As a result my sister and I have no other siblings.

  4. I oppose everything Jimmy Carter stood for and did as a politician.

After he was no longer an elected politician his election oversight group The Carter Center was sent as observers to ensure the Venezuela election in 2006 was conducted fairly and “above board” with primary focus on the electronic voting apparatus’ His group conceded they didn’t know what to do about all the cheating there, washed their hands of the entire affair and granted semi acceptance to an election where +60,000 voters more than 120 years old and with 90% of them having the same “first of the month” birthdates in a variety of years up to those of 160 years of age.

Here, now I can add “dunce” to his list of accomplishments:
Near the end of this link at the CBC, “Carter questioned the legitimacy of the Trump presidency in a panel discussion.Russian interference, “if fully investigated, would show that Trump didn’t actually win the election in 2016, Carter argued. “He lost the election, and he was put into office because the Russians interfered on his behalf.”

I wish Carter could live through the next few years of President Trump’s election and see his Dept of Energy scaled back and the Dept of Education dismantled.

Should I feel compeled to say something positive about Carter? Well his name’s not likely on any of the Epstein flight lists to the Pedo Island, nor in any of P. Diddy’s videos, but being a Democrat he’s certainly a friend to those who have visited.

    1. The very first time I could vote in a Presidential election, I voted for Jimmy Carter. Why? It was probably his Playboy* interview when he confessed that he lusted after women other than Rosalyn. A honest Christian, I thought … what a refreshing political change!

Yeah, Jimmy cured me of that Rookie mistake … ever since.

*not that THIS Christian has ever seen a Playboy magazine and those nekked women *giggle*

      1. No I don’t think a peace between them is a bad idea, but their peace was more a refection of both Israel and Egypt wanting to end their repetitive wars. Whomever had been President at that time could have brought them to this end.

The first section of the Accords refers to the autonomous self governance of Gaza (and the West Bank) and that hasn’t turned out as hoped. Carter was lauded for including Gaza and the Palestinians in the peace processes, and later on when the Oslo Accords were signed with Clinton, it was meant to bring peace between Israel and Gaza, yet 30 years on of being emboldened it’s now turned to the point of Israel running out of buildings to destroy in Gaza, and the gazans seem unable to stop initiating, or bringing war upon Israel. This process of including Gaza at the table didn’t start with Nixon…
A total loss for the southern terrorists.

    1. Hell’s Angels have toy runs for kids, same difference.
      Just whitewashing the public image.

  5. America lost one of its worst presidents. Sadly he was never cut out for politics and his idealism just didn’t match the real world. On the brighter side at least he thought he was trying to improve the USA the other two presidents much worse than him, Obama and Biden are out to destroy the USA and get filthy rich doing it. RIP Jimmie.

    1. The correct replacement for Obama and Biden is OBAMA.
Biden was non compos mentis his whole term as pretend president, so he isn’t really in the running for the worst president. I always enjoyed Kunstler’s habit of referring to him as president “Joe Biden”.

I agree with Thomas Sowell: Obama is the worst president, an opinion I had before learning of Sowell’s. His promise of “fundamental transformation” meant tearing it all down.

Carter didn’t hate the US. Neither did Wilson or FDR. Obama is in a league of his own.

  6. Interestingly Democrat Prez Carter lost re-election in no small part because of the Iranian U.S. Embassy hostages held by Ayatollah Khomeini. The last two Dem Prez’s Obama & Biden have bent over backwards to accommodate the same tyrannical Iranian regime including enabling hundreds of billions in funding and allowing continued development of nuclear weapons. What exactly is behind the connection between Iran and the Dems since the fall of the Shah? There are no foreign policy coincidences imo. Was Iran funding the Dems ever since Reagan?

  7. Is the Pope gonna make the guy a Saint now?

Hell knows that’s what the media has been working on for forty years now…

  8. First election I was old enough to vote in was Carter vs Ford. Voted for Ford and lived through the ensuing malaise that was the Carter era. First mortgage was 17% adjustable rate. Gas was sold in liters because the pumps could only calculate up to $.999/gallon. Buying gas on odd or even days. Iran hostage debacle.

  9. Lessee… say something nice…

At least we can be sure Amy was Jimmy and Rosalyn’s kid. Some Democrat Presidents and their wives had a little uncertainty in that department.

    1. And Amy was the first presidential child who was placed “off limits” to the media. Couldn’t have had anything to do with her tragically awkward puberty. And interestingly enough … I’ve not seen a single picture of Amy sitting with dad in hospice, or making an announcement of his death. I guess when presidential kids get hit with the ugly stick … they disappear from view … forever.

Speaking of which … anyone see Chelsea Clinton recently? Wasn’t she gonna be the next woman POTUS after her mom? Change of plans, I guess.

      1. Don’t give Chelsea any ideas. She’s not dead yet.
Never underestimate the depths of cronyism that are possible.
The Left will not let go of any idea, no matter how ridiculous.

  10. He harmed the US a great deal with his policies, but his character was burnished gold compared to Clinton, Obama, W, and Biden.

  11. Nice enough guy I guess, he was a woodworker like myself, although I found his work to be clunky and overbuilt, a common mistake with amateurs.
That said – he always appeared to be under-qualified for the Presidency. Not his fault of course.
But the Panama deal…good grief. He got some really bad advice.

  12. Even as a 9 year old, he struck me as WEAK! He does deserve credit though for being so terrible that he assured total victory and a mandate for change by the greatest president of the 20th century Ronald Wilson Reagan. Thank you Jimmah!

  13. Carter was a ‘faith based’ President. Probably the last. He left the big decisions to the all mighty. Not a good idea.

He did a good job tho with Camp David. Reconciling Egypt and Israel.

He was a music fan. Liked Dylan and The Allman brothers.

His presidency had a Mr Magoo vibe to it.

“He wasn’t good but he had good intentions” – Lyle Lovett…sort of

    1. Agree with you about the peace agreement between Egypt and Israel. That was perhaps the one thing that could justify an otherwise dismal Presidency. And you are right about ”good intentions”. But we all know what’s paved with that.

  14. Your version of Gough Whitlam (who was first), and maybe both of Turdeau’s alleged fathers.

I hope they appreciate eternally suffering together in Hell…

  15. Please don’t forget about Jimmy and his encounter with the “killer rabbit” during a canoe ride. Signs of things to come. I agree with Thomas Sowell on quite a few things, but I think LBJ gave nobama a run for the worst president title. During my high school years, I lived in Austin, TX. Both before and after his coronation to president in 1963. He was a hopeless shill and used car salesman for every racist tripe that demos could come up with. He was a fan of Margaret Sanger. Texas had a poll tax longer than Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi. His crowning glory was sitting in the White House and picking targets in Vietnam for pilots to bomb. I toured his Texas retreat with the hope of pissing on his grave. No luck. There was a tall iron picket fence around it. It was rusty, so maybe some just pissed on the fence.
