  1. Of the young women under 40 that I know, it would be nearer 100%. They prefer getting high to drinking because it’s not fattening.

Yeah, I know but… girl math.

  2. Of course this makes it superior in the sheep follow the dicktat (sic) department.
There are those in here that use the stuff and are very defensive about it.
Don’t care, do yourself in any way you want.
Quantitively, it is magnitudes better than MAID.
    Half? Would question that.
In any case they are gonna need those Indos that work in MacDonald’s and other such outlets, No frills and other such places to support them.
Who do you think is going to work?
The junior whiteys at the checkout don’t know how to count to 10.

  3. “…close to half — 48% — of those under the age of 24 said they used cannabis in the past year…”

Oh noes! Kids are using a legal product! Run, RUN Forrest!!!! And they wonder why their media companies are going under.

Ask the morons who wrote the article how many under 24 drink. More than half, I would guess.

    1. Binge drinking and smoking any amount of weed when your brain is still developing will leave you with permanent brain damage.

It’s legal. It just needs to be stigmatized as hard as smoking cigarettes was.

      1. You know, sometimes I despair.

“…used cannabis in the past year…” and “drink” is a different thing than binge drinking and greening out every day, Daniel. You can see that, right?

You guys are going to have to accept that the media lies about -EVERYTHING- including the things you agree with.

Also, and this is something that doesn’t get nearly enough attention, officials of the US and Canadian governments have been trying to prove that weed causes permanent brain damage since Prohibition. They spent a lot of time and a lot of money over 100 years or more.

Result? No conclusive, repeatable evidence that weed causes permanent brain damage. No matter the dosage. You want to go look that one up on your own, it is really very surprising.

There is however abundant and irrefutable evidence that excessive drinking certainly does cause permanent brain damage in the young, and in the old as well, not to mention the middle-aged and the unborn. It can kill you, in fact, and everybody knows it.

Weed, while not the thing you want kids to be doing, is the -least- harmful recreational substance available. Everything else is much, much worse.

Bottom line, my friends. If we want this to be a FREE country, then people are going to be free to pursue habits and hobbies that you do not approve of. But on the bright side, if it is indeed a free country, you will not be expected to pay for it.

And maybe it would be worth asking why Canadian kids are in such disarray that they need to smoke up to calm their nerves. Can’t get a job, maybe? Propagandized by school until they don’t even know if they’re a boy or a girl? Living in Mom’s basement and eating oatmeal every day because there’s no fricking money in the house? Whose fault is that?

  4. I live in an apartment, and when some a-hole decides to light up that crap, the whole building stinks of that filth. Including inside the apartments themselves.
Thanks a lot Trudeau, you piece of flotsam.
Its stink is on buses now as well. It needs to be criminalized again as far as I’m concerned… but it won’t.

  5. What’s the percentage on the Res.? Yeah … it’s a MUCH bigger problem than the Residential schools … where kids were actually taught things. Now they’re just mellowing out ma’aaaan … dulling their senses … blunting their prospects – so to speak

  6. Smoked my own for 30+ yrs. I’ve Managed hundreds of Trades and emotional problems cause way more issues on jobs – wife leaves, dog dies, kid in trouble etc etc.
It is not addictive, I’ve stopped for months at a time.
    Currently stopped for 2 weeks.
ALCOHOL IS the gateway drug, not weed.

In Public, weed should be treated like booze. No smoking in public places. Common courtesy many weed smokers don’t possess.

Weed isn’t the problem. FILTHY LIBERALS are.

Phones are more addictive than any drug. These are a huge problem.
