    1. The head choppers will have those recently emptied Syria prisons will be filled back up with new tenants in no time.

    1. …and hungry too! We don’t eat that well out here in the… how should I say this politely… the remote areas of SK.

You don’t appreciate what you had to give up, until you had to do without it for a period of time.

I hated the politics, but I sure miss my life in my old home town.

There’s nothing like the J-T Market anywhere else in North America, perhaps even the world, and it’s not just about the food. The culture is spectacular.

      1. ive been reading sda for almost 2 decades(can that be right?)…
moved to Arizona 14 years ago… ive often said regarding why I’ll never move back to Canada:
“It’s not the weather, it’s the food. I can never go back to the (western) Canadian diet/ food options”.
        If you know, you know.

        Merry Christmas y’all!

  1. “Ontario Premier Doug Ford threatens to cut off energy to U.S. in response to Trump’s tariffs”
The premier of Ontario threatens the US’s energy supply? I wasn’t aware that Ontario produced that much energy. Hmm, oil from Alberta/Sask, electricity from N&L and Quebec. Oil comes to Ontario through Line 5 which flows through the States (shouldn’t have canceled Energy East) or by imported oil through pipelines up from the US east coast. How nice that Ford is willing to fight tariffs with other province’s economies. Are you sure he isn’t a liberal?

    1. Michigan imports about 10% of electricity from Ontario. If Ford were serious, he would scrap expensive wind turbines. The production loss would only be noticed by MI and NY who buy Ontario’s electricity at a fraction of the wind production cost.

    2. Funny, it seems securing the border and clamping down on drug trafficking solves the tarrif problems. However no one seems interested in that solution, especially our so called leaders.

      1. Indeed. To do the opposite, as it appears Blackie and his subordinate premier lickspittles have chosen, is to endorse the illegal drug problem of fentanyl. Just look around the urban streets of this country, to see the widespread street drug problem. Every city has its zombie population living in tented enclaves, with streets that one avoids even driving their car down.
We are ruled by stupid people doing stupid things.
The US will win EVERY economic “war” with Canada. This country’s “elite” has a problem with reality. We are the mouse to the US elephant. Better hope the elephant doesn’t step on the mouse by “accident”.

  2. Thank you so much for posting this video! My daughter and son-in-law live in Montreal and this is definitely on my list of “things to do” when I next visit! It is even bigger than the St. Lawrence Market in Toronto. When I lived in Toronto, I loved visiting St. Lawrence, but always spent much more than I had budgeted for! Everything was so good!

  3. The JT Market is big and wonderful, but personally, I prefer the Atwater Market which is not as large, but somehow seems more accessible. Better location, also, and there is not much you wont find at Atwater.

  4. I visited the market in June last year. Was OK, but not super-impressed by it. Similarly with the famous smoked-meat deli.

  5. Here’s a little love story for you hopeless SDA romantics….

My old trapping buddy from NW ontario told me this happened recently at a wedding on a local rez.

The chiefs son married a gal from another rez. The wedding proceedings wen’t well. The bride was resplendent in her wedding dress. The groom impeccable in his tux. The chief gave the blissful couple a brand new Ford F150 for a wedding present.

The wedding party retired to a local lake for picture taking. While at the lake the bride, over refreshed by this point, decided she’d like to go for a swim. In she went – wedding dress and all.
Her betux’d beau, not to be outdone -followed.

After a swim the lovebirds returned to the reception where fun was gad by all.

Several fist fights to establish rez dominance followed- to no avail and the bride, in an expression of undying love for her man, grabbed a baseball bat and took out the windshield of the new F150. Ain’t ❤️ grand…

    1. Why doesn’t Newfoundland just guarantee long-term pricing and have companies build a dozen or two aluminum smelters or other big power users employing tens of thousands of workers in Newfoundland or Labrador. Then another generation of kids won’t have to move to Alberta or Ontario to get decent jobs. Export their best resource and export their kids. What a formula.

Hey, do you guys mind if I go ahead and post your BOARD OF DIRECTORS real quick?

    Here’s 2 of the 10 that I REALLY love:

    JAMES A. JOHNSON

    *GOLDMAN SACHS, Board of Directors

Common members across corporate boards orchestrate the direction of significant parts of almost all industries. This is how so many got in lockstep with the COVID crime against humanity almost immediately, or in some cases, in advance.

  7. Over the last two weeks, I have seen a commercial on the Fox news channel paid for by Ontario. Yes, that would be your Ontario. It shouts the virtues of Ontario as a giant trading partner of the US of A. It is roughly a one minute positive shine on all things that are entirely necessary about Ontario and it’s friendship with us. I am still friends with Canadians and things Canadian. I’m still looking forward to the family reunion and picnic next summer. So, what’s the deal over the trade war? I’m late for breakfast one morning and I lose out on the up to date info. My apologies.

    1. At least they were smart enough to put it on Fox. Otherwise stupid, powerless, Democrats would be their only audience. Fat Ford needs to get some guts and stop dope and wetback smuggling through the Indian reserves. Otherwise Trump will own your ass.
