  1. I am beginning to sense a pattern here.

No worries, though. Government pension funds will soon be along with more money to piss away on losers invest in “the future of transportation.”

  2. Everybody knew that Canada was never going EV. The government didn’t even pretend to be serious about going EV. They just lied, and made a few dodgy investments, which failed as everyone always knew they would.

And the government insiders made a f*ck-ton of money from the pump-and-dump, the same as they did from weed, and windmills, and solar.

That’s the true purpose for having Canada be a sovereign nation. To give government insiders cover for pump-and-dump schemes on an international scale. Because God forbid the people of Canada should be allowed to make an honest buck from farming, mining, logging or [gasp!] manufacturing.

  3. When the Hindenburg crashed in flames marking the end of the dead end which was travel in hydrogen balloons for which the reporter famously cried “Ohhh, the humanity!!!”
Watching the EV market slowly burn and crash, I parallel the cry:
    “Ohhh, the waste of money!!!”

  4. The only one missing from that chart, Tesla, is up close to 40% for the year. Shot up to $1 trillion after the election.

    1. Tesla is a niche product and seems to realize it’s a niche product. The other idiots thing they can compete with crap Chinese garbage built in Mexico

  5. Those subsidies are drying up fast and being replaced with new taxes on EV’s. The government(s) couldn’t help themselves. PA has done this. NJ is playing around with a mileage tax on EV’s as are a number of other states.

The “happy” consumers of EV’s should have listened to Admiral Ackbar.

  6. Well, somebody wants this crap. There’s a Tesla Cybertruk parked in the Save-On Foods lot in Brighton (east Saskatoon) right now. Saskatooners, man. Bunch of tosspots.

  7. Here’s an easy method for making a small fortune by investing in EVs: start with a large one.
