Yesterday afternoon, in response to a Canadian Leftist who has countlessly proven that he doesn’t care at all about the terrible conditions that Canadians must endure, an exasperated “Indiana Jane” wrote the following brilliant comment:

As you drive through vacant and decaying industrial sections, witness the unemployment, the absolute lack of any Canadian products for sale in your stores, does reality ever shine it’s light upon you? When you go over the border and lose 40 cents of your dollar because of our imploding economy (was par under Harper), or notice the plagues of drug addicts that have swarmed our big cities, or the 600 billion in new debt in just 9 years, do you ever think you may be wrong? When you witness riots in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary and they are not of Canadian born angst, do you not see a pattern?

To have an opinion that ignores every fact, reality, and observation is not worthy of a supposed sentient being.

    I have many fine quality hand and power tools that were made in Canada; we are still using bakeware that was made in Canada; and other equally good or even slightly better stuff from the USA. I used to wear Dacks dress shoes; I think I had one pair re-soled twice because they were so well made. Jones Tent and Awning in Vancouver make high quality stuff; you could hardly get a better winter coat than one made in Winnipeg because they really knew how to make a coat for Canadian winters in Winnipeg.
    It’s sad to see how our manufacturing base has been gutted over the last fifty years.
    If you have a country worth defending, you need to be able to manufacture what is necessary to defend it.
    And you really don’t want any country most likely to be your enemy to be your primary supplier.

      1. I had my winter coat designed and made by a local, very good fashion designer out of heavy dark green wool from Italy. This will be its fourth winter – I love it. Mind you, I take care of my clothes. This one cost $ 1,200 plus the fabric, so $ 1,400.00 . I hope to have it for at least 7 years.
        I am an anomaly – I am a woman who does not like shopping. I have vision in my head of what I want and have turned to having it made. I used to be an interior designer of hotels and restaurants. I became used to getting exactly what I wanted by having the millwork trades make the tables, the bars and purchased chairs from restaurant suppliers for my own home (they are so much better made). I like to buy quality, buy it once and keep it forever. As I said – I am an anomaly.

    2. Production went to Japan first, then Taiwan, then China. One of the big motivators for moving manufacturing overseas was the massive wage differentials between the West and the Far East. Unions kept demanding huge increases, and the companies couldn’t compete with the Europeans any more, so they moved.

      But moving it back will be difficult. Costs here have risen steeply since the outsourcing began. Gasoline costs more than ten times what it did in 1970. Houses cost at least ten times more. Minimum wages are up by 10+ times. So who is going to pay $300 for a Canadian-made toaster that currently sells at WalMart for $30 or $40? Or a pair of ordinary jeans for $250? And all that is assuming we have the machinery and workers able to make the stuff. We have painted ourselves into a tiny corner here. In light of the above, that $1250 Canada Goose coat is priced appropriately for Canadian-made goods, isn’t it? There is no magic here to make stuff in Canada or the US at Chinese prices.

  3. We need to flush the turd very soon because the US economy is about to skyrocket and little potato will somehow end up in a trade war with Trump because he thinks it’ll win him the election.

    Once we do it’d sure be nice if the CPC got involved in local politics like the NDP scumbags who’ve destroyed every city around.

    There’s no way in the world to import Islam without also understanding what Islam is and does to any nation it gains a foothold in. The hijrah is serious business in Dar al Harb. Another vector of Cloward/Piven along with the today’s looting of tomorrow’s treasury.

    Everyone in an elected position of power took an oath to uphold and maintain. Treason is not a big enough word given the many bad faith oaths. Blackmail for the political pervert class gets things done that no one wants done b/c only a very few benefit from. Sex drives.

    Do we have any instruments of authority with big enough balls to simply uphold the law?

      That’s why we have a punitive carbon tax on Canadian goods but none on imports. The point is the crush the economy back to the stone age so we don’t have any nasty CO2. It’s working extremely well in crushing the economy but we’ve barely touched the CO2.

  6. Indiana Jane is completely correct. Unfortunately it doesn’t make any difference because she’s talking to an insane person for whom reality is a place they get postcards from. They don’t live here.

    Leftists are 100% able to ignore the ever-increasing ruin we see around us. Right up until someone steals -their- car, out of -their- driveway. See, that’s different. Because they are a Good Person. You can’t just steal stuff from a Good Person, you know. That’s not fair.

    There’s a video going around of some fool Leftist woman trying to get her phone back from the homeless turds who stole it,using that argument. They’re only supposed to steal from evil Righties, not good Lefties.

    Leftists will keep going, and cheer when Canada Goose coats are manufactured in China instead of Canada. It won’t be long, if they’re not already. On the bright side, Trump and his tariffs will kick the slats out of #ShinyPony’s little red wagon pretty quick.

  7. We know Liberals who avoid any discussion about the ugly mess known as Canada. Conversations are re-routed to the ogre Trump, or quickly terminated with “Compared to a lot of places in the world we still have it pretty good.” The extreme cases have manufactured or otherwise acquired various ridiculous explanations for our shitty status quo that all have one thing in common: they assign zero responsibility to themselves or turdo.

    As my wife mentioned a few weeks ago, “Imagine the mental stress that must cause, knowing that things are really bad and it’s your fault. That’s why they don’t want to talk about it.”

    They don’t understand cause and effect.
    Those are magical things that can’t be known.
    Liberal minds are shallow and one dimensional.
    Their inability to understand cause and effect is the root of their inability to understand basic economics and their inability to connect the dots between voting for a Marxist fool with pretty hair and getting destructive far left government policy.
    They fall for the ‘taxes will change the weather’ bullshit because they don’t have the intellectual horsepower to question it. They don’t understand how taxes would change the weather but then they don’t understand how anything else works either so they just mindlessly have faith in their leader with the pretty socks and the Taylor Swift bracelets.
    Liberal Party brass know this about liberals so they send Blackie out to the Taylor Swift concert and to the Drag Shows and Pride parades.
