The Canadian Premiers Want an Exclusive Free Trade Agreement with America

Ontario Premier Doug Ford says that he, and the other Canadian premiers want a direct free trade deal with America, excluding México altogether.

This is likely a good idea for Canada but here’s a suggestion for the Trump administration:

  1. Trudeau must resign immediately.
  2. Require a Festivus-like event on Pay Per View, where Trump’s surrogates get to highlight the endless rhetorical attacks of Canadian politicians and bought-and-paid-for legacy media talking heads against him over the past 4 years.  David Freiheit, Tamara Lich, and Jordan Peterson should host this week long, 3 hours per night event.  Live public apologies from the “offenders” will be mandatory or negotiations will be called off.  All money raised should be given directly to helping Canadian & American military veterans who are struggling in Trudeau’s economy.
  3. Demand that Canadians be given full free speech rights, equivalent to the U.S. First Amendment, written into law before negotiations can proceed forward.

  1. The problem is that the Nuevo Laredo crossing now has more truck traffic than the Windsor-Detroit crossing. It might not be in the interest of the US to annoy their China replacement right now.

  2. Very stupid politicians get elected in canada, Americans know this, why would they even waste their time?

Americans will be able to get anything they want without the hassle of a silly agreement with arbitration mechanisms in the way.

The whole world can see voters in canada for what they are and what’s important to them, all the rest of the planet has to do is wait until things get desperate in canada and then we’ll be easy pickings.

    1. Stupid politicians get elected in Canada, I wonder why? What a joke I know why, it is because Canadians are stupid socialists. Good grief, it never ends.

    1. we would probably get the Festival of the Return of the Archons, Star Trek episode. Violence and wickedness below a collective tranquility

  3. Why would Trump do any of this? Trump is an America First conservative who eschews nation-building. Yes , I know it’s a joke but expecting Trump to save us is more Canadian apathy. Trump will do what’s best for American and that almost certainly involves playing hardball with Canada on trade and security. The more he does, the more the government and the press will spout how eeEEEEvil he is, and they’ll turn that into another electoral victory by painting literally anything the CPC does as “American-style” or “Trumpism”.

    1. The CPC is merely a temporary respite from the whipping pole the Libs have us willingly tied to, gives the Libs a chance to change their whip hand and limber up for the next round of abuse.

    2. What is best for America is not distinct really from what is best for Canada. There are signs that the world is waking up to these bozos….you certainly see it in Argentina….long a far left country.

      1. “What is best for America is not distinct really from what is best for Canada”
What a stupid thing to say.
The fact is, what is good for the people is not the same as what is good for the elites, you moron, and your inability to see that is typical of Canadian pussies.

    3. Canada on our border is a wonderful thing, however Chi-com Canada on our border is definitely NOT. Making Canada Great Again … is second only to chasing the wokerati forever OUT of America

      1. The Canadian border is not quite all Chi-com, it is a mix of communist, islamic, african, and indian interlopers who have slowly gained control of the country.

    4. Who cares? This joke of a country is done, the economy such as it is, is only breaking even with a $50,000,000,000 annual infusion of borrowed money. The lenders will soon tire of this, and the scam will crumble very quickly. Keep voting Liberal and hasten this necessary implosion, the patient is full of cancer, MAID it.

    5. F. Scott FitzGerald had a chewing tobacco magnate cousin named S. Chew FitzGerald, but he always tried to avoid him.

  4. Seeing as we’re – you, Robert – are in dreamy dreamland, Juthtin doesn’t just resign, but he is exiled on Ellesmere as C.A.G.E.’s first “resident”.
    Hag Hilary can be #2.

  5. What’s wrong with free trade with Mexico?
The only industry Canada really protects is dairy, which is fitting for a nation of incontinent cows.

    1. “What’s wrong with free trade with Mexico?”

Everything is wrong with in my opinion. “Free trade” is impossible between a first and a third world nation. You need similar labor laws and standards, similar environmental regulations and the rule of law must also apply equally in both nations.

I vowed to never vote for Mulroney again after he pulled his ‘bait and switch’ act with the FTA and NAFTA. I voted for free trade between Canada and the US (the FTA), but after the election it suddenly became a three-way deal (NAFTA). I did NOT vote for NAFTA.

      1. 150% !!

Calling what happens in the world right now … “Free Trade” … is like calling Biden’s $ multi-Trillion inflationary Federal spending Bills the “Inflation Reduction Act”. Their crude Jedi mind tricks only work on the weak minded.

  6. I agree 100% with Ford. The agreement should be bi-lateral. And, I’m heartened to see that your leaders understand what Mexico is up to. China is doing a “soft invasion” of Mexico. Mexico is selling Chinese products and passing them off as their own under the USMCA (btw, NAFTA doesn’t exist any more) to avoid tariffs. Mexico throws a “made in Mexico” sticker on a product produced by a wholly owned Chinese company domiciled in Mexico and circumvent the tariffs that would apply if they made the product on their mainland. Also, your trade deficit with Mexico is rather large, and you’re getting the short end of the stick. It makes sense to do a bi-lateral trade agreement directly with Mexico.

I don’t think Trump would object to this knowing the facts. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised to see tariffs applied to Mexico if they don’t knock it off.

  7. Can we make sure a Land Acknowledgement is in there, too?
Big Fat Comorbidity Ford is a FILTHY LIBERAL.
We have nothing to offer America.
Our Syrup smells like Curry now.
I like Indians. Not 3 million of them.
Good thing President Trump is a man of the people. He will help us Peasants fight these MARXIST Scumbags infesting our Culture.
He’ll Make FILTHY LIBERALS Cry Again
    PP won’t.

    1. They Liberals in Canada will cry about Trump as they proceed to impoverish Canadians, and Canadians will suck it up like the useless pussies they are.
The whole country was sold out from underneath us in the 80s and 90s.
Magical conservatives in AB whine that the Turd’s punitive regs make it harder to sell what few resources we have left to “foreign investors.”
I wish Trump would annex Canada, and failing that, Putin should nuke us, both of those are more desirable than letting the sickened freaks who lead Canada continue.

      1. Gee… and I thought I hated this country!
Yeah, I’m greatly disappointed how so easily corruptible the Canadian electorate has become, but I wouldn’t want Putin to nuke us. That would be the easy way out.

    2. Hahahaha … we have 3 million Indians living in Fremont, CA alone!!! Hahahaha ha ha …
And d’ya wanna know how many of my Doctors are Indian too? Oh well … I have to get used to being a minority in CA … where NONE of my Doctors “look like me” … or have names I can pronounce

Without revealing too much, my Endo. is named: Nalurporn Chokrungvaranon, M.D. Yeah … even SHE tells everyone to call her Dr. “C”

  8. Ya know, policy-wise, Harper was far to the left of Obama.
PP is far to the left of PET.
Canadian conservatives are the worst. The Libs are honest about the destruction they wish to visit upon us, but the Cons claim to be our saviors even as they bend over for whatever the Libs do to us. Incrementalism, anyone?
Mad Max is a slim hope for change, but Canadians have rejected him out of hand, PP is just short a respite from the constant buggery, but Canadians like to be buggered, we just need a break from the constant cornholing the Libs give us before we’re ready to take it again.

    1. Don’t look now, but Trump’s cabinet isn’t exactly conservative.
But that only shows that the Overton window is too far to the left.
When you see Glenn Beck agreeing with Pierce Morgan, you realize that there truly has been a re-alignment.
When the radical left in the Demon-rat party is disposed of, and I think you’re seeing that happening now, you’re going to witness the beginning of the dissolution of this alliance, as the Overton window shifts back toward the center.
Well, that’s what I see happening. Feel free to disagree.

  9. Things are looking good. The Trumpster is to announce the KXL pipeline is going to be kick started on Jan 21.
    Go Trump!

    1. If the pipeline can’t be completed in Trump’s term, no oil company in their right mind will be willing to participate. No telling how many years the Climate Nutters will have things tied up in the courts.

  10. US States can’t cut trade deals or make treaties with foreign countries. Can Provinces in Canada cut their own trade deals and make treaties with foreign governments?

That’s a powerful thing if the Provinces can do that.

  11. Incoming President Donald J. Trump has said he doesn’t like the free trade deal with Canada and Mexico,
so chances are good that these provinces and the federal gov’t can renegotiate a deal with them, either separately or as 2 individual countries as Ford says in the attached video.
    However…
Canada should be prepared for a tough argument on all fronts from the new Trump Administration. I have no sympathies left for Canada and if we’re frozen out of any deal because Canada won’t allow its dairy cartel to be on the chopping block or there’ll be no deal whatsoever, it’s something our tier 2 governments should be prepared for.

I doubt any federal gov’t of Canada would allow a free speech addition to Canada’s constitution. Canada has had +150 years to figure out a constitution which guaranteed real rights, and real representation from each individual province, and none of our garbage governments have seen fit to include it.
I don’t think Canadian’s governments are capable of this, they’ve shown their ineptness in everything they touch for the past +70 years.
There are so many varied interests within Canada who ALL feel they “have a right to be heard” that I think the idea of continuing with Canada’s confederation is without merit.

Break it up, and the new constituent provinces which then become countries, can work on free trade between themselves, and with the USA and or Mexico.
We’re not equally “Canadian” and we should stop pretending that we are.

A reminder of what happened last time…
    https://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.ca/en/article/meech-lake-accord
and further idiocy in the Charlottetown Accord, giving out “special rights” based on province of residence (Quebec) and on race (First Nations people).
I’m fine with Albertans having free speech rights written in, while other provinces work to punish those who use the incorrect pronouns as in Ontario, or in an incorrect language, Quebec.
Mandatory signs whereby the French is larger and more prominent than English! Can you imagine?
    Whatever

    1. Ontario could invade AB and take it over in a jiffy, without much of a fight.
      So could Quebec.
      Deal with it.

      1. The chance of AB being recognised by the new American Administration is 100% if it came to a separation referendum, and tier 2 Canada doesn’t have an answer for that.

Why do the closet Nazis always think AB would be “taken over” etc… by the more populous provinces in the east? They can’t manage their own affairs, it’s not likely they’ll manage ours.

“Taken over” by what? the fleet of Canadian bombers? The great Canadian ICBM’s?
When they’ve finished their 4 days trek to get here, the dunces will have forgotten what they’ve set out to accomplish.
That’s what Canada has become, an nation of dunces led by pseudo Nazis

      2. With what? The Ontario army? And Quebec, that makes me laugh out loud. ‘The French are coming!” Not exactly a frightening military prospect.

          1. The French in QC could walk all over AB. They have demonstrated more balls when dealing with the feds than the pussies in AB could ever dream of, you can tell by how much of AB’s money the feds hand out to QC. AB is the cuck of Canada.

    2. “frozen.” he says. Unintended pun, I’m sure, because I’m sure Calgary is pretty much in the same boat right now.
Ironically, as I read that, and writing this reply, it’s -14C in the heartland of the prairies, and we’re not even close to the end of November!!!

    3. The U S Constitution has been there for all Canadians to see and emulate if they so wished. Of course we have seen just how well Americans appreciate their constitution.
The disease that constantly requires crushing individual freedom has never been eradicated.

  12. I just saw the pick for Ambassador to Canada. You guys are getting a hardcore Maga guy as the US mouthpiece. His last position was ambassador to the Netherlands, and you saw how their government did a 180 degree turn in a rather short period of time based on out of control immigration policies.

    1. “STATEMENT FROM PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP
I am very pleased to announce that former Ambassador, and former Congressman, Pete Hoekstra, has been nominated as my United States Ambassador to Canada. Pete is well-respected in the Great State of Michigan – A State we won sizably. He represented Michigan’s 2nd District in Congress for nearly 20 years, where he was also Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, and was a great help to our Campaign as Chairman of the Michigan Republican Party. I overhauled the disastrous NAFTA Agreement, the worst Trade Deal in the History of the United States, which was switched to the USMCA (Mexico/Canada), which no one thought could be done. We brought Trade with Mexico and Canada to a level playing field for our wonderful Farmers and Working Families.”

      and a bit more…

  13. The internal governance of Canada is no concern of the United States. Canadians have to sort out your own shit, and live with the consequences. Trump will respond with carrots and sticks, as appropriate; but again, you get to live with the results of your own decisions.

Don’t feel like you’ve been singled out, as there are a number of blue states and cities making absurd proclamations which punish their own citizens, and who will be dealt with appropriately.

  14. How about replace1st amendment free speech rights, with the 2nd amendment right to bear arms so we can protect ourselves from the government over reach.

  15. Do not demand Trudeau’s resignation!

Trudeau is merely the idiot figurehead of a far deeper, more malicious cabal that runs this country. Getting rid of Trudeau is a huge mistake. It gives millions of people an excuse to go back to voting Liberal. If everything can be pinned on one man, then the millions of NPCs can go back to their leftist ways, thinking they’ve eliminated the problem.

The entire leftist establishment must be rooted out if Canada is to have any hope of surviving in the form it has taken since 1867. Not just Trudeau.

  16. What the hell does Blubber Douggie have to offer the Yanks? Subsidized Volkswagen batteries?
