Deep Impact

They may come to regret all the mean things they said about RFK Jr.

“If they lose advertising from Pharma, it’s over. Those news networks are going to lose half their revenue overnight … MSNBC ratings are down like 50% since the election. And what that tells me is that their captive viewer base, who’s been tuning in for years to all of this TDS, has now realized that they were deceived by MSNBC and they’ve lost credibility even with their most fervent supporters.”

  1. Direct to Consumer Pharmaceutical Advertising (DTCPA) can be defined as an effort (usually via popular media) made by a pharmaceutical company to promote its prescription products directly to patients. The U.S. and New Zealand are the only countries that allow DTCPA that includes product claims. Most other countries don’t allow DTCPA at all; however, Canada does allow ads that mention either the product or the indication, but not both. The pharmaceutical industry and lobby groups have tried unsuccessfully to overturn bans against DTCPA in Canada and other countries or regions, such as in the European Union (EU). Notably, in 2008, 22 of the 27 EU member states voted against proposed legislation that would have allowed even limited “information to patients” to be provided.

  2. Every other tv commercial in the US is from big pharma, and a quarter of them are from some type of government funded entity. TV has captured almost half the voting population, things would look a lot different if they lost those people.

  3. Big pharma whistle blower stated that they, BPh, advertise , not to sell drugs, but to control news data.
18.3 % of USA economy is pharma products, so they want to be able to hide the truth, and RFK jr is a threat to their grift.

    1. Same reason Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation advertises in Kanada. To keep control of the media.

  4. MSNBC is owned by Comcast, America’s largest cable & internet provider. Comcast has openly been trying to sell / divest MSNBC for over a year because its consistent losses are depressing Comcast’s share price. Leftism and capitalism never play well together.

  5. Pharma has quite the business model:

    – fund the legacy news through advertising to control the narrative about prescription drugs (good), lifestyle changes for better health (ignored), use of alternative products like vitamin D or ivermectin (bad). Own the media.

    – fund politicians to get pharmaceutical friendly legislation into law and even mandate the use your product. Own the politicians.

    – fund the regulators to prevent effective regulatory oversight. Give top regulators lucrative pharmaceutical jobs after they step down from regulatory agencies. Own the bureaucracy.

    – fund researchers to direct studies favorable to pharma and unfavorable to competitors. Own the researchers.

    – fund journals to ensure their paid for research gets promoted and opposing or negative research is retracted or suppressed. Own the scientific journals.

    1. Excellent summary. And people will just look at you when you try and explain the corruption of the system like you are stupid. It is so frustrating!

Oh nonsense. These people are lamenting in their victimhood. They are playing the part over the top, arm bent across the forehead, facing upwards….you know the stance. You can’t portray all that dramatic despair by going about your usual routine. You have to show the world your pain…do a few shows…point that finger at those Fascist Nazi Trump voters….and then comfortably return to the Joseph Goebbels News Network when people stop paying attention to their antics.

  7. Oh gawd help us.
When those people canned Don Cherry, the gig was up for me.
    They hate the military
They hate the cops who die on the job
    Tossers
Don’t waste your time with that crap.

  8. Banning pharmaceutical advertising on television would be fantastic, and beneficial. My sister worked in a free clinic for years and patients regularly asked for prescriptions for television-advertised pharmaceuticals about which they knew nothing. And I mean nothing as in, not even what conditions the medication was supposed to address.
