  1. Refinery row on the Gulf coast likes heavy oil. Exactly the stuff we have in Alberta. The pipeline is largely constructed. Biden cancelled completion on his first day in office. Trump might send a message on his first day.

        1. Sounds like you have your head up your ass. You don’t seem to understand what is going on….it’s CONTEMPT of court. Smith has nothing to do with it.

    1. well if this is true Ms Smith seems to have exposed herself as a
      typical off-the-shelf ‘right wing’ tyrant.

      1. It’s not the Premier’s job to keep citizens from going off the deep end. This guy has decided he’s smarter and tougher than any damned court, and all we can do is watch him learn.

  2. But, but, but … the pipeline is going directly through “sacred” indigenous peoples land!! Ohhhhhhhhh mommmaaaaaaaaaa!! Ohhhhhhhhh youuuuu eeeeevil white people

  3. President-elect Donald J. Trump has said the Keystone Pipeline permit will be signed *again* on day 1 of him taking office. I don’t know how much time to finish it, but suspect it’ll be “not long” …

Premier Smith announced this am she’ll be traveling to Washington for the inauguration … and maybe just to remind those folks that Alberta is conducting a clean up of the +175 billion barrel oil spill here, and they can have all they’d like.
Premier Smith in today’s Calgary Herald:
“I won’t wait for the federal gov’t to promote AB’s success or strengthen energy trade with our US partners, we’ll take the lead and champion ourselves”.
I saw this quote on social media, and I’m not a member of any of Canada’s media cabal so I can’t actually find the link nor post it.
