  1. Well, it’s just about the only real news app in Liebrano Canusckistan.
The rest are bought and paid for regime media Presstitutes.

  2. Who wants to make a bet? Section 181 of the Canadian Criminal Code makes “misinformation” and “disinformation” illegal. It was shot down in 1992 as unconstitutional. I bet is makes a comeback in some other form shortly. It’s what the UK did…almost exactly.

      1. There is probably a Dictators Wannabe Guide book accessible to assholes like OurOwn.Commies who research possible actions to be taken . I wonder if there is a catalog in the back, where torture chambers, ovens, cattle prods, are available. Translated from German of course. Heavily thumbed by OurOwn.

  3. It’s the censorship and canceling of opinions which the gov’t and deep state doesn’t share with X/Twitter that’s destroyed the MSM, especially in Canada.

Too many are fed up with being scolded and fed obvious lies, especially since the covid fiasco
The role of media, isn’t to fellate the entirety of gov’t opinions.

    1. There are Canadian sections on X. One I used to peruse has block my comments. A place I was once welcome. No explanation. So is it Gov.?.. Or monitors.. Don’t know. My posts were relatively mild..

  4. This is after getting rid of two thirds of the staff. Trump needs to get Musk into his cabinet to do the same thing to the public service.

    1. exactly. to think he *already* has the ear of the man who FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 250 YEARS, had his 2nd term ‘delayed’. God Bless you Elon migawd migawd l too have autism and his genuineness just blazed thru the clouds of misinformation and MSM bullcrap. l did sense something early on. go for it Elon, the richest man in the world is about to become a high level consultant at the VERY least.

  5. Ive been thinking I should pay for an “x” subscription…call it an investment in free speech.

    1. I got kicked off years ago under the previous regime for criticizing an NPR tweet (yes really). Does anyone know if people are having success getting back on with their old account or should I just try and start a new one?

      1. Will I get booted from “X” for my Queer-o-phobic comments? Or my child Transphobia?

I got booted from Conservative Treehouse for simply stating that our public schools should NOT be teaching 11yo boys how to sukkk cawwk. I guess Conservative Treehouse believes we should be teaching our boys the fine art of fellatio that Kamala perfected … ?

        1. I like CTH but that’s definitely pretty lame they would ban you for such a relatively innocent comment.

      2. I tried for a few years.. Finally got on this summer.. I appealed about a dozen times.. Finally got my old account back! ..Don’t know why, but I have been blocked a few times for marginal “violence posts”.. One I said Iran needs to be destroyed.. One day ban. Keep appealing.. Good luck.. It’s fun over there.

        1. My best friends wife has been banned DOZENS of times … put into short term time outs. And it’s usually due to a hilarious meme that’s labeled “hateful” or “misinformation” … it’s a JOKE!!! Effing Dem’s can’t take a joke (at their expense). They are humorous automatons

  6. I think the rise of X is because it has become obvious that citizen journalism and independent journalism is now superior to corporate journalism. There’s lies, disinformation and exaggeration in all of the above but X’s free speech zone allows for quicker correction and a broader discussion. The trolling and bot accounts are the biggest downside of X but it’s still superior to traditional media, imo.

  7. Elon on “work from home”…

You’re going to work from home, but the people who make your cars can’t work from home, the people who deliver your food can’t work from home, the people that fix your home can’t work from home but you can?

    Does that seem morally right?

    -Elon Musk

    1. I have seen that interview ‘Sooke’ and I think ‘Elon’ hit that with a 16lb sledge hammer. What he stated is happening on a big scale and you can tell they do want to give this up. Than you.

    2. WTF does morality have to do with it? I’m a software engineer. I’ve been working from home since 2020. I and everyone on my team are more productive and happier because we work from home. Some jobs can be done from home, some can’t. Some jobs are better done from home, some aren’t.

The reason companies are pushing hybrid or return-to-work policies isn’t “morality”, it’s because they’re underwater on their corporate real estate and have to hide that from auditors and investors.

  8. I’m watching the various CBC meltdowns over the election on Youtube.
Oddly enough none of them allow comments.
I guess CBC doesn’t want their misinformation corrected by us lowly deploarbles.

  9. It’s a post election mainstream topic now, that cable news has lost credibility, missed the boat on the election and that the future are platforms like X. No surprises here on this forum. I wonder if the MSM are starting to realize this? Oh how they hate Musk now. How much credit does he get for Trump winning the election?

  10. All I can say is a Thank you to ‘Kate’ for bringing her ideas to the internet blog site. Being a follower of smalldeadanimals for over 20 years, she has created a following that has brought ideas and view points to other people to check out. Now we have a major blog site “X” getting a major recognition tribute. All I can say is Keep on Kate, Elon and anybody contributing to these blog sites and keep ripping the MSM a new but*hole and make them either to tell the true facts or go broke.
