Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Holy hell, woman. When you send someone traffic, you send someone TRAFFIC.My hosting provider thought I was being DDoSed. - Sean McCormick

And where’s Turdo?
Off at the Frankiphony.
Wonder how much his hotel room cost?
Is he having a foreign affair?
Tell me that you’ve prorogued parliament without proroguing parliament.
So basically, this keeps questions out of public sight on anything else. Trudeau didn’t want to have to come to the house of commons and now he simply doesn’t have to.
If Joli is with him, then probably.
Well this should halt the Liberals’ plummet in the polls.
On the upside, politicians cannot do any damage to us if the House proceedings are suspended.
Actually the can and will.
For example Shared Services Canada is set to award 25 year contracts for government cloud computing.
How much $$$ will go to Liberal friends?
Yes, anything that can be done by Regulation and especially when deviants other than the Ministers involved are given Ministerial powers to do so. These are already causing us damage, grief and misery. New legislation, however, such as private member vegan bills cannot go forward unless Parliament resumes.
Are committee hearings paused as well when house proceedings are suspended?
If so, that means that no one is watching the hen house, and the foxes will have unopposed free reign.
10% to the party and 10% to Justin
No? What about all those “executive decisions” made during the Covid lockdowns? The Tent of Parliament? An awful lot of money was thrown away that way, money we now have to repay.
Mike T…you assume that the people in HoC are “in charge”??
Spell ass-u-me.
You also ass-u-me.
Wow, so Parliament is suspended and the MSM feel no need to tell us that? Good lord is anyone from the Liberal party in charge?
The corporate media not reporting this is par for the course. They are on the take — and that means censoring investigations into the China malfeasance scandal. The media are on Justin’s payroll.
Parliament is actually not suspended per se. The Speaker ruled that all House business cannot proceed until the House deals with the corruption scandal document request is dealt with.
The House voted to require the Trudeau government to turn over all documents relating to the SDTC slush fund. Details here:
https://tnc.news/2024/10/02/trudeau-government-defies-parliament-sdtc-documents/
The Speaker apparently ruled no House business can proceed until this matter is addressed.
Trudeau essentially said okay, we’ll sit and stall, and continue to govern via ministerial actions.
He’s going to protect his slush fund. I wonder if documents are being shredded and computer files deleted.
Yep…
Google search: is HoC suspended?
Zippo
it’s not news if you spin it right – they’re now planning how to spin
After reading about it via SDA, I did a google search, as search of CTVNews and CP; nothing.
Shouldn’t the Turd’s refusal to turn over the files be considered a non-confidence action?
Joe thanks for this. The Houe is sitting right now:

I scrolled around yesterday’s (Wednesday, October 2) Hansard, and could not find any mention of Speaker’s ruling. If someone could find and post exactly what he said, that would be appreciated.
There was lengthy discussion in the House yesterday as to Trudeau’s many scandals, from 4 pm to 6 pm, but that’s all I could find.
I checked yesterday’s Hansard and it appears business as usual.

Here is a good True North article explaining the situation:
https://tnc.news/2024/10/02/trudeau-government-defies-parliament-sdtc-documents/
Author Noah Jarvis is a good writer.
And finally CTV news comes through with a relevant article..

…one day late of course.
Thanks, David, for providing both those links. It will be interesting to see how long Justatwit can survive the de facto shutdown of the House. The idiot King Charles I managed to run England without Parliament under personal rule for 11 years, ending in the English Civil War. It was one of the not so little steps which led to his execution.
Is it to late to pick up some shares in a Paper Shedder Company?
Prorogation of Parliament by other means?
Come on Canada … here in the States … our PEOPLES House holds hearings, and “grill” witnesses. They promise to get to the bottom of corruption. Ohhhhhhhhhhhh mommmaaaaaaaaaa … our Rep’s fire off sternly worded letters, oh my!! Hearings that go nowhere.
Same here in Canada but here the majority party always has the government (Prime Minister and ministers) so committee hearings do not expose current government wrong doings for partisan reasons. Even with it being a minority government, NDP as coalition partners have joined Liberals to block the opposition in committees from digging where Trudeau does not want digging. If CPC forms majority government, past wrong doings can be examined in committee if CPC wants to do so.
In this instance the Liberals are soooo dirty that even the NDP isn’t protecting them.
“The Liberals are so dirty that even the NDP isn’t protecting them.”
But the Bloc are. … I wonder why?
And to be honest most of the time the NDP protects Liberals in committees, with the possible exception of when the Bloc protect team Turd.
In this instance, it was in the House and all of CPC, NDP and BQ voted for the document disclosures. It could not pass if either NDP or BQ sided with LPC.
We all know that Canada’s bought and paid for media will always resist reporting anything that might harm their sugar daddy, the Trudeau Liberal government, but perhaps there’s more to it this time. I’m just speculating here but here’s my thoughts on why the Trudeau government is fighting so hard and refusing to release these documents:
– the documents will expose high profile individuals in politics and corporations who don’t want to be named publicly or be investigated by the RCMP. I’d bet these are elite VIPs reside in Ottawa and Quebec (Laurention Elites).
– the documents that the Trudeau Liberal government are desperately trying to hide will provide a template to how the government and bureaucrats moved taxpayer money fraudulently (allegedly) to Liberal friends, family and corporations. Once that template is revealed, the opposition parties, auditor general and police will be able to more easily spot that same template in other government departments. This might expose even more high profile individuals and corporations that were in on swindling the taxpayers.
It look like the template is for middle men, who do no work, are awarded a very generous contract and then they subcontract the actual work at a much lower price to other firms. The original (no work) contractors pocket the rest of the money and/or kick it back to others who are in on the game. Investigative reporters (aka. Not on the government dole) are trying to find offices of these contractors by the addresses listed but they seem to be either private homes where only their mail is sent, tiny and completely unstaffed offices, or do not exist at all at the listed locations.
A slightly more blatant version is where the Trudeau government appointees (perhaps even Liberal MPs?) direct the contracts to their own companies or directly to their friends and families companies. It does not appear that any conflict of interest or ethics rules are being followed or even required.
Conveniently all documents that might be incriminating are missing, lost, incomplete/never done or are hidden by the Trudeau Liberals under cabinet confidentiality, national security, privacy rules or trade secrets.
Here’s a good example iofwaste by the CCFR.
Senator Don Plett asked for details how 67 million was spent on the Librano gun confiscation program.
9 million paid to Samson and associates.

Go to 24 minutes .
Samson and associates have no active and/or empty offices
Their greatest success is realized. They have made criminality legal, profitable and BAU.
Which makes being their victims unavoidable.

Maybe this isn’t such a bad thing.
Time to start freezing some bank accounts to prevent the slush dribbling away.
I’m guessing I won’t see this on my dinner time news today.
Please disperse.
Is there something to see here?
I am more than happy to see the HOC come to a grinding halt for a long time. Look at the damage they do when sitting.
I just started following this Canadian couple “Norther Perspective”. IMO, they are excellent at summarizing this:
Background to this mess:

Welcome to the club!
So the speaker acting in the best interests of the Liberal party is doing his best to knife Trudeau and get him to fly to Antarctica so he can take a walk in the snow?
The whole commentary is excellent, but jump to 6:24 for reasons

Had the Speaker (a Liberal) not made this decision (siding with the government) then all of the opposition members would have called for his resignation and voted non confidence in the speaker.
THEN, they would elect a NEW speaker. And you can bet it would NOT be a Liberal.
I like to sniff my own farts and eat boogers.
So you’re a liberal.
Well of course! I vote Liberal, hate Israel, and am passionate about radiator hose.
Radiator hose! There’s no stockings like ’em!
