    1. You can use archive.today to retrieve it. Also nothingburger.
There is plenty of reason to resign Blair and the entire cabinet. This isn’t one of them,

        1. I’m confounded, and a little bit perplexed, that you are still permitted to post here, GYM.
          Apparently, you’re bigotry and racism doesn’t end with “bible-pounders.” It’s far-reaching, isn’t it?
Is there any group of people that you don’t hate?

          1. “Is there any group of people that you don’t hate?”

He is still waiting for his mail order bride from Wuhan… he should not have prepaid for the 2020 model.

          2. “I’m confounded, and a little bit perplexed, that you are still permitted to post here, GYM.”

Mixed feelings about that. Getting rid of GYM would be one thing…but then you would also have to turf the Colon, wouldn’t you? After all, hate is hate.

          3. Well, I hope it doesn’t get to the point that we need permission to post here. There is something like an open invitation to post with each entry.

The result is sometimes denounced by the fastidious as an “open sewer”. As someone who usually walks through downtown Calgary to the library to read and post, I would say that it’s much more like a fair representation of the society out there around us. There are a lot of quite decent people, a few strikingly clever ones, and a lot of goons and losers. And sometimes, even the goons and losers actually have something to say.

I don’t approve of GYM’s bigotry, but I don’t mind hearing it. I’m glad to know it’s out there. You can get too used to clean clear consensus of opinion. Opinion in the world ranges widely, I might say wildly, and it’s worth being reminded, harmlessly, of how wild it can get. Aren’t you grateful for this reminder of the hidden menace of anti-polecat sentiment? Or whatever he’s on about.

    1. The turd world antichrist with a chip on his shoulder continues destroying he church.

    1. Is that the same cocktail that Bruce Banner drank? I think it has some undesirable side effects.

Oh, well. Dr. Jill prescribed it so it must be OK.

  1. OK, this is my last paywalled article for today (honest!). Recall that one Arash Missaghi met his untimely end a few days ago, when one of his fraud victims shot him and a woman fraud-colleague in their office, terrorizing many small children in the process.

The Globe and Mail has a lengthy investigative article this morning on this matter:
    https://www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/article-businessman-killed-in-toronto-triple-shooting-defrauded-hundreds-of/

saying that Mr. Missaghi defrauded hundreds of victims out of at least $100-million. He milked what passes as our (in)justice system for all it is worth for the past 25 years. Over that period police refused to lay charges or Crown prosecutors dropped the charges, where unnecessary delays were concocted by unscrupulous lawyers. Missaghi even escaped any successful civil suits, where supposedly the barriers of allowable evidence are less severe. From the article:

“For all of that Arash Missaghi seemed immune from prosecution. His voluminous court records show no convictions, no jail time and no successful lawsuits against him — while providing few — if any — indications why charges against him were withdrawn on multiple of occasions”.

The last phrase is telling. Crown prosecutors don’t have to cite reasons for withdrawing charges. We live in a country where massive white collar crime is essentially legal. The only justice left is vigilantism.

    (under a paywall).

      1. Thanks. Reading through the piece, one is struck about how corrupted our justice system truly is. Our white-collar-crime world is quite literally the lawless Wild West. I’m a retired economics professor, conversant with business finances. That this type of super-fraud goes on is extraordinary. My wife and I do all our banking and investments with a big-six bank, much of it using paper records. Even then we worry.

    1. Has anybody heard anything that would confirm some of the rumors going around that he was involved in fundraising both provincially and federally for both the Liberal and Conservative parties, and that he had connections to the Iranian IRGC?

      1. I had similar thoughts, Viktor. Why try, why convict, why jail someone who reliably comes through with “10% for the Big Guys” of Canada?`

It says that he scammed $100 million that we know of. It could be a lot more. $10 million bucks to spread around to the “right people” isn’t chicken feed.

I wonder what will happen when enough people realize their own governments are scamming them by 3 or 4 times the amount that Arash Missaghi scammed.

As happened in this incident, people with nothing left to lose can be *ahem* problematic.

    2. “The Globe and Mail has a lengthy investigative article “

A lengthly investigative article about lengthly legal litigation involving lawyers, law societies, AG , Judges,
police operations, courtrooms and stationery expenses.
All of which truly failed to protect the public.
The cost to the public purse for this long running shit show magnifies the amount swindled.

    1. Just wait until “Justice” Minister Arif Virani’s Online Harms Act Bill C-63 becomes law thanks to NDP support.

Then free speech will become illegal as what is a pre-crime isn’t even being defined. He is also trying to circumvent the legal norm that things done before a law is passed cannot be prosecuted, whereas with C-63, your internet posts from even 30 years ago can be used against you.

As for the claims that it is necessary to stop online child exploitation and revenge porn, those are already crimes under the Criminal Code.

It is very clear to me that the real purpose of this law is to stop public criticism of Liberal immigration policy, any criticism of Islam, or of “transgender” issues.

    2. This is under a hate-crime investigation but the encampments on the universities full of Jew-haters aren’t?
      This country reeks.

    1. Don’t call them bureaucrats; call them New Canadians or new Liberal voters! 🙁

    1. I’m not gonna click, Reader. I have no idea whatsoever what ‘pinkwashing’ is and I have no interest in ever finding out.

And don’t spoil it by telling me, y’all, OK?

        1. I’m thinking that music video is NOT on every Alphabet Person’s playlist, Reader.

I’d bet a quarter – make that 50¢ – that nary a flamer has a clue how they’d be treated in a Muslim country.

        2. I’m not sure how I’m supposed to react.
I don’t appreciate what the gay mafia has done to our society, but I would not want to throw any of them off a roof.
I feel like that super-hero-type character in the widely-used meme having trouble deciding which button to push.

    1. Something doesn’t quite fit here. Owens is a newly-converted Catholic. I guess I’m shocked upon learning that there are some Catholics who feel that way, but I’m even more surprised that Owens would be one of them.
…or is it simply the case that Owens is being taken out of context (yet again)?
Owens had already been accused of antisemitism… a claim that had been thoroughly debunked, so is it happening again?

    1. …and the perp was quickly released, as is the usual practice in Toronto… and I’m sure the case is across every major city in Canada.

    1. Canadians of convenience.

The last time we did that they were supposed to pay the costs but as far as I remember they never did.

    2. Second last time the Liberals flew them to holiday with relatives in Canada. Last time Harper sent them by ferry to Cyprus and nobody went.

    3. “What are 45,000 Canadians doing in Lebanon?”

Illegally collecting child tax benefit and GST and carbon tax credit? Am I right?

  2. Robert, did you mean to say “Lindsey Stirling performing Led Zeppelin’s Kashmir”? [strangely feeling like an extinct t-Rex here…]. My apologies if I missed the butt of the commentary!!!
