One Flu Out Of The Wuhan Nest

What a COVID-19 Food Fight Says About Scientific Discourse

I first wrote a version of this post almost three years ago when I learned that I was blocked on Twitter by some prominent virologists soon after I called for an independent investigation of COVID-19 origins. Since then, I have observed public discussions of COVID-19 origins among virologists continue to devolve into ever-greater depths of name calling, juvenile insults, and more troublingly, efforts to damage careers and reputations.

Of course, I’ve seen this all before up close and personal in public discussions of climate, and as you might guess, I have some thoughts.

Hurt my feelings that they got caught.
Makes it far worse when they adjust avenues to make themselves look good.
    Egotistical bastards.

Being funded by our government and trying to do the poor me thing for even more government funding.
So many avenues were just ignored and slid by that allowed our politicians invoke kill shots on it’s population.
Starting with the Senior Citizens and spreading from there to keep the narrative.

  2. Science @$&@?&

Interesting that in the featured video on the invention of the blue LED, all the scientists said it wasn’t possible.

There are so many examples of scientists saying something is impossible, then someone (an engineer, tinkerer, technician, trades person, etc) comes along and does it.

A great example: the Wright Brothers. Apparently they initially couldn’t get a patent on the airplane because the scientists used by the U.S. patent office said flight was impossible.

    1. In my experience, very few scientists say something is impossible unless it violates some well-established and fundamental law of physics, like the 1st law of thermodynamics. They might admit they have no idea how to do something, but that’s not the same thing.

In fact, the first blue LED was patented in 1974, but it was too feeble of a light source to be commercial. It beggars belief that subsequent LED researchers were not aware of this.

  3. Academia is the church of the progressive state. Arguing against the church is heresy. All heresy must be destroyed. These are simple truths that all state religions follow.

    1. I would rather be governed by the first 2000 people in the Manhattan phone book than the entire faculty of Harvard.
      William F. Buckley, Jr.
The sentiment seems to be doubly true today.

  4. The biggest bullshit statement by far is that government scientists do not have a political agenda.

In other news, I read that Donald Trump had caused the covid lockdown. My first reaction was “are you leftist retards that stupid?”. But then I thought, wait a minute … do they finally agree the lockdowns were bad and now they’re trying to stick it to Trump?

  5. From what I have learned and fully believe to be true:
Cov-Sars 2 is a Gene spliced Synthetic virus. It & its detection method were both patented in Apr 2002 By NIAID
NOTE: One cannot patent a naturally occurring organism.

    # 7220852 Sub Patents:
    46592703P
    776521

Not only did “they” own the synth virus – they owned its supposed
    Detection methodolgy.
One wonders when the Sheep will awaken if ever.?
& When do the HANGINGS commence..??

    1. What I learned was that it was no worse than the seasonal flu and the fake vaxxes are killing and injuring people and the government wants it this way.

  6. What is happening currently is that the “experts” who were wrong all along are now doing everything they can to cover their asses for their malfeasance. And this is EXACTLY what it is….malfeasance.
