  1. Recruitment is down all over. We can blame Woke but I wonder if the 24/7 commercials for wounded warriors is driving home the reality of combat to a lot of young people.

  2. The West has been losing wars since WWII for one simple reason….they don’t WANT to win.

    1. Wrong. The West did not lose Korea 1950-55. The West won the Cold War 1945-1991 decisively. Britain did not lose the 1982 war with Argentina. The West has not been engaged collectively in any wars since Korea.

      1. You say: “The West has not been engaged collectively in any wars since Korea.”

Regarding the war in Afghanistan (2001-14), which was well after Korea, Nato says: “At its height, the force was more than 130,000 strong, with troops from 51 NATO and partner nations. Originally deployed to provide security in and around the capital Kabul, ISAF’s presence was gradually expanded to cover the whole country by the second half of 2006.”

Conclusion: The West was collectively engaged in Afghanistan.

  3. She has some great insight and truths.
She fought and gets my respect and thanks.
    Hope she gets better.

Whether we fight or not is the big question but chicks-shouldn’t-be-there is hardly questionable.

    1. I wholeheartedly agree. Battlefields are not the place for women. At the very least they are a distraction; at they very worst, they can get you killed. And I’m saying this as a female.

      1. They aren’t the place for five ft. tall 100 lb. anybody. My normal marching load in a (British) infantry unit in the 1980s would weigh ten to twenty lb.s more than she does (not counting my rifle, and we didn’t wear body armour then.)

  4. Kelsi, you’re awesome.
I appreciate your sacrifice & suffering.
    Stay strong.

  5. Yes, a very good listen. Someone who learned a lot in a very short time, and went through the school of hard knocks, and survived with her head on straight. Her comments on MAID are poignant.

  6. Ditto on the recommendation. I didn’t agree with all her conclusions but I paid attention because she bloody well earned the access to my ear.

  7. Haven’t got all the way through yet, but her comments on the snap election and the Taliban pullout were “interesting.”

Planning to use the Taliban in a war against the Russians? Bueler?

I don’t know if she said anything about Covid yet, that ought to be enlightening too.

  8. I couldn’t stop listening to her. Smart, engaging, and well on her way to living a full “lived” life just like the old military woman she encountered on the bus that fateful day. Her simple, sad, truthful quote:

“There are bad people who need to die …”

Yes, there is EVIL in the world. EVIL that cannot coexist (to borrow a leftist bumper sticker) with civilized humanity. And as an aside … businesses are fleeing and shutting down in Oakland and San Francisco … because that same EVIL is allowed to prosper thanks to stupid laws (< $1k theft is brushed, defunding the police, and standing down on crime prosecutions. Soon … we will need to deploy French-speaking Canadian military Units in the Bay Area to bring PEACE to the region, eh?

She also said that ”people who love life, find it difficult to eradicate people who love death” … or words to that effect. Here in the previously civilized SF Bay Area … people loved Law and Order. Now the place has been overrun by “compassionate” leftists who love criminality … as some kind of recompense against capitalism, or something. They need to all be eradicated.

  9. Great interview and I agree with everything she said, particularly about the futility of fighting against the Islamists in the Islamic wastelands. The clash of civilizations is real and the west is run by sociopaths who won’t allow you to publicly identify Islam as a retrograde force intent on the subjugation of all of humanity which is impossible to fight using “civilized” force once established. It’s why we should have nothing to do with the Islamic world other than trade. Without free speech to ridicule and censure, discuss and educate, or Allah-forbid, consider halting their immigration, violence is the ultimate guaranteed outcome. Islam will not reform as it is a theocracy based on a warlord prophet not a Jewish hippy named Jesus. Israel minus the Jews is our future on this path.

  10. Yup. A good interview. The reality is that with every succeeding generation in the Western World, the percentage of young folk who can handle the physical, mental, and emotional strains of combat diminishes.

    Not so in other places.
