  1. Conspiracy to commit murder is a very serious charge. No way would prosecutors plea down to a minor charge and release if they had a case.

    1. Nope. What’s wrong with YOUR Constitution!? We have a 4th Amendment where one cannot be held without bail indefinitely without a speedy case laid out. Arresting someone … and holding them (for 2 years) until The State can fabricate evidence of a crime is real Third World shit.

      1. Yes, your 4th Amendment certainly protected the Jan 6 people didn’t it? Oh! It did NOT protect them. So here we are once again in the middle of a Canadian story with you trying to muscle in with some crap about how the American Con-stit-two-shun protects its citizens. Or were you just trying to be sarcastic as you hijacked the thread?

      2. So like what the J6 guys are going through? How’s that 4th amendment working out for them?

        1. hate to say it kenji but jp and rusty have a point.

aka methinks the Constitution is not long for this world as they say.
its lost its momentum. its all waterlogged now.vigilance waned aaaaand lOOkit whut the internal enemies did after each having its kick at the cat. robber barons media moguls tech giants and now the insane leftists soon to be followed by the immigrant swell. and your tweedle dee tweedle dum 2 party system.
todays civics assignment compare the populations and track the founding and duration of all political parties of minimal significance that have come and gone last century and assess the REAL choice voters have had in all the various democracies around the world.
          then rank them.
a prediction: REAL choice is sadly lacking in the one that kinda started it all in 1776. ironic.

          1. As in Canada, the Constitution is not the problem. It is a pretty clear document. The problem is the corrupt justice system and the lack of accountability for people who violate citizen’s rights. I’m sick of Canadians and Americans having a pissing contest as to who has more retarded leaders or abusive system. We’re pretty much all up to our eyeballs in shit.

          2. Pappy, the canadian “constitution” can be waived at anytime the government wishes. It is non binding period. It is, of lawyers, by lawyers, for lawyers, not worth the paper it is written on.

          3. Thank you Pappy … you are 100% correct. We’ve wiped our ass with our constitution… and completely erased our borders from the map. Neither of which is legal. And our Supreme Court is MIA.

      3. There’s a high profile case against some hockey players in Ontario right now. A commentator noted their right to a speedy trial, which he pegged as within 30 months. So 2 years is acceptable time to linger in prison here, apparently.

      4. There is a difference between the two countries. The US is intended to be a constitutionally limited state; the purpose of the Constitution is to put limits on what the state can do. The Canadian constitution is not intended to put any limits on what the state can do, only on the process that it follows in acting. So, the American bill of rights is an instruction to the government not to infringe certain rights, and a denial of any power to do so. The Canadian Charter is simply a set of suggestions for things to avoid. So, we recently saw the invocation of the Emergencies Act declared void, not because it flagrantly violated the Charter (as it did) but because the express legal requirements for invoking the Act had not been met.

Of course, a constitution has to be enforced, and clearly there is no authority in the District of Columbia with the slightest interest in enforcing it. So, best of luck with that.

    2. I still say this whole thing was a set up by Turdo’s henchmen………..but that’s just a wild guess

  2. “Did the prosecutors have no case? Was it all political? Both rhetorical questions, if ever I’ve seen one.

  3. It stank on ice from the beginning. I believe the whole story about firearms being found and a plot to kill RCMP was a bullshit political fantasy started by the RCMP.

Recall that the RCMP committed vandalism against those pieces of heavy equipment nearby, just because they feared it MIGHT be used at the Coutts crossing protest.

It should be blindingly obvious by now the RCMP is every bit as rotten as the rest of Canada’s institutions.

    1. Recall that the first trudeau used the RCMP dirty tricks squad to go after people he didn’t like, stealing dynamite, burning down barns, etc…

They continue to trade on a reputation from more than 100 years ago, while doing nothing to live up to that reputaiton

  4. Gulag. Trudeau is a tyrant: it has been proven in a court of law. These men are victims of his tyranny.

  5. As somebody asked, was this an RCMP instigated case where they talked some retards into doing something stupid and then charged them? I expected them to drop the case before it went to trial. I didn’t expect them to accept the equivalent of a 4 year sentence for crimes that rate a fine or at most 90 days in jail. That record won’t go away.

  6. Given the performance of the RCMP in High River a few years back and now in Coutts, what more convincing do we need to proceed with kicking these crooks out of Alberta?
    Rotten Ba$_-_-$ !!

    1. TOTALLY AGREE……………RCMP are NOT what they were 20, 30 40 50 years ago when I was a KID
They are just Turdo’s brown shirts……..PERIOD……

  7. The backdrop to Trudeau’s emergency act was not bouncy castles and dance parties.. It was those 4 men.. In order for Trudeau to be not guilty, these men had to be guilty..

  8. The amount of time they spent in jail is longer than actual criminals spend in jail for the same offence.

  9. What is the conspiracy law in Canada?
[7] Section 465 sets out four separate conspiracy offences: (a) conspiracy to commit murder; (b) conspiracy to prosecute someone for an alleged offence knowing that the person did not commit the offence; (c) conspiracy to commit any other type of indictable offence; and (d) conspiracy to commit a summary conviction …
