  1. Just watched the entire Spiked video about the German farmers. Isn’t it interesting how anytime, anywhere, anyone disagrees with any government, those disagreeing are immediately labeled as being “far right”. This tactic is so common that it cannot be mere coincidence.

    1. And it’s always “Far”…to reinforce the fake implication that Attila the Hun was a ‘moderate’ by comparison.

    2. I am a hell of a lot more conservative than any one who is considered a MAGA supporter, or a German farmer.

  2. so EVs going to writeoffsville faster than ICE.
meaning all the non-green activities to produce a replacement
all happen that much earlier. sooooooo wheres the logic?
    ummm, there aint none?

    1. The whole thing is incredibly stupid and expensive which is why green hydrogen is hot hot hot.

      1. Hydrogen? I seem to remember from chemistry class that it burns with a distinct pop. Mind you the Hindenburg didn’t pop so hydrogen is okay for cars. But the fire will be burned out before the fire engine leaves the station.

  3. Why arent there daily and massive demonstrations and rallies against Trudeau and Singh all across this frozen shithole??

    1. Yes indeed. Every year Trudeau and his mendacious gang of sycophants allow approximately 500,000 “Students” to enter Canada in what is a very lucrative scam operation. That is ~ 10,000 a week. Roxham road was just a diversionary tactic. Add to this total all the other ‘immigrant” numbers and it becomes evident The Libranos and their WEF acolytes are hell bent on destroying Canada.

  4. I love the smell of fear in the morning, it smells like victory. So Trudeau and his pet MPs are afraid of dealing with Trump, easy fix – just call an election and Trump will be somebody elses problem

    1. Wish he’d stay there! So the locals have total control over the snow and cold temperatures. Good on them!

      1. Does that mean that the indigents up north – the new “owners” of the lands can “sell off” the resources to the chinese?
        Hmmmmm… just wondering

  5. It’s probably nothing. But U.S. bank credit, therefore money supply M2, is starting to decline:
    https://www.businessinsider.com/recession-outlook-bank-credit-contracts-federal-reserve-interest-rates-economy-2024-1

This is only the second time in 50 years that M2 has declined. The only other time was at the start of the Great Recession in 2008. See the graph in the link. In my wife’s and my modest portfolios, we are about 70% cash, 10% bonds, and about 20% in gold, utility and apartment REITs. Tough times are coming.

P.s., as has been discussed off and on (mostly off) in the Canadian media, PER-CAPITA inflation-adjusted personal incomes have fallen for at least four quarters. Canada is already in a per-capita Recession. I checked the Bank of Csnada’s data, and our M2 has leveled off.

  6. “Electric cars suffer ‘unsustainable’ depreciation in secondhand market”

They are disposable cars. After the battery dies, who wants to spend $20,000 or $30,000 on a 5-7 year old car. Who has the $20,000 cash on hand to do it?

  7. From the Elite Americans link:

“Two Thirds of Elite Americans Favour Food and Energy Rations to Combat Climate Change, Poll Finds”

That’s because they believe that food and energy rations won’t apply to them, only to ‘OTHER people’. Meanwhile, it’s very cold across most of America, including Florida, so they are making plans to take their plane to their home in St. Kits.

But yeah, people (meaning everybody else but them) should have their food and energy use rationed in order to Save The Planet®. I mean, it’s obvious they aren’t going to do it on their own.

Orders given. Planet saved. My work here is done. Let’s get going. The plane leaves for St. Kits in two hours.

  8. The value of EVs
    ——-
Why sell it for half price when a lithium fire can return much more?.. Insurance scam much?..

Reminds me of the price structure around high end brands.. Get a Mercedes or a BMW for cheap because nobody can afford to repair them.. Small market fallout with enough buyers willing to roll the dice on their dream car..

Expecting the entire auto industry to operate this way is unsustainable.. Paying 7500$ for a 5 year old 100 000 dollar car?.. No demand for huge repair bills.. Interestingly enough, cars for people who have nowhere to go..

    Nuts..

    1. EV’s were a joke the day they went for sale.

Avg of 400km RANGE. in -35C – Range is half or less than stated.
Broken, inoperative or low KW Charging stns
Battery Replacement up to 60K CAD
      Spontaneous Battery fires
      On 115 VAC…long time to Re-Charge

& ZERO market for used….. What Possible Reason could cause even any partially SANE person to go ahead and purchase a used EV..??

Hells bells, Dealer lots are full of them and NO ONE IS BUYING. GM & Ford have totally stopped production.

Nor is There any city in North America where there has been a Successful program for Electric Garbage & Fire Trucks.

ALL of it is or will become some very TOXIC JUNK that will need to be properly disposed of….& I hear recycling this crap is prohibitively EXPENSIVE.

I truly think we need to demand that VW take a hike after they return the billions given to them.

  9. Dear Leader warns us about the MAGA Conservatives
    ——
Trump has quite the fan/hate club.. If we dont jail him immediately, we all might want affordable energy and a functioning border.. Entertainment that’s entertaining.. A dollar that holds its value.. Madness..

This slippery slope into better times must be halted :).. And what better place than we are not America, Canada..

Fact.. The last person the Canadian left want in office is Biden.. Nothing to campaign on except their platforms..
A maple syrup wet tee-shirt contest.. I am Canadian..

  10. Hey Justin: Lots of Canadians would he more than happy to elect a MAGA conservative over your sorry ass any day of the week. Call the election!

  11. i think that I would rather have somebody who wishes to make Canada great again than have somebody who wants Canada to be mediocre.
