Lewis has long been a critic of the UN, and at times a harsh one, but it is her sponsoring of a petition from a private citizen that has the Liberals trying to sell a story. Petition E-4623 was started by a private citizen, Doug Porter of Burnaby, B.C., but like any online petition on the parliamentary website it needed an MP to sponsor it.
Enter Lewis, who has also been promoting the petition, which had just over 67,000 signatures on Thursday evening and called on Canada to leave the UN. The Globe and Mail cited Mohammad Hussain, a spokesperson for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, as saying Lewis supporting the petition raises questions.
Sign it here, you crazy daredevil mischief makers.

I signed it the other day.
The UN is a bigger world joke than even Juthtin’s heterosexuality.
Already signed. Sent link to 10 friends. Petitions are generally ignored but this one is important. Look up the WHO’s vote in May/24 and see the dystopian future they have planned. If passed, signatories would defer to the WHO for health reg’s, digital ID’s, digital vax passports and more.
I signed the petition. When will the gov seize my bank account?
Heh. I sent the link out to some folks yesterday. One fellow called me and said that they (wife too) were not going to sign it because they “were afraid”. I told him my theory: that is exactly how these rotten governments want it to be. And by not putting your name and face to something important, you do your bit to ensure that things will get worse.
I’m pretty sure I didn’t change his mind.
Reminds me of a young fella at a gun show, who expressed his worry that joining a gun-rights organization would “put him on some sort of list”.
I asked him if he had a PAL, he said “Yes”. I told him “You’re already on a list.”
He joined.
Being afraid to say what you think is being a prisoner. Angling for a better cell doesn’t make you free.
The WHO cannot succeed.
We all know where Justin is on this and why he shouldn’t be PM.
I signed. No risk to me because the hacked GiveSendGo list already outed me as a member of The Rebellion.

Waste of time. The petition will end up in file 13.
Time well wasted.
I enjoyed signing this waste of time.
The resultant Grit head explosions is both instructive and entertaining; and furthermore, imho in keeping with their “new communications strategy,” a serial release of bat shit crazy bots who are aghast an august organization such as the UN could ever be criticized by anyone, who could get the agreement of others. Yes, the present government is at least as incompetent as the UN, but those who see things differently from the fringe majority are the real bogeyman, and don’t forget, as just pointed out by a smirking Liberal lackey, polls reflecting widespread discontent and disapproval with the performance of his government are well, what politicians, sorry, dogs – pee on. Add that to their “detailed plans” to recycle previously broken promises to reduce a deficit that will balance itself, nominal federal debt doubled by them. Obviously only a MAGA Conservative, aka future badge of honour, therefore a racist, would disagree. Voters agree, Grits are unfit to lead, but not being statist failures, Conservatives are “more unfit.”
(signed.)
The head explosions alone make it worthwhile. If a few of them drop dead from apoplexy, that alone makes the exercise a good thing. Anything that pumps up their blood pressure is helpful.
The demand for e-petitions was introduced in 2014:
//Kennedy Stewart, a former NDP MP and mayor of Vancouver, was the original driver of the motion that allowed for e-petitions when Stephen Harper’s Conservative majority government was in office. With help from allies like Conservative MP Michael Chong, Stewart worked to push forward the change through a private member’s motion a….//
At that time, every party voted unanimously for the bill except the Conservatives: Yea 8 Nay 140
Nonetheless, it was passed by a change in the standing orders in Feb 2015:

From a CBC article:
The petition sponsored by Lewis is far from the only one to call on the government to take some dramatic or controversial action. An e-petition sponsored by NDP MP Alexandre Boulerice that circulated last year called on the government to demand a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war. It drew more than a quarter of a million signatures.
Exactly what crossed my mind . List.
Posting or visiting here gets you an H++ destination anyway.
TOMATOES INCOMING …
I yield to no man in my utter disgust and contempt for the UN and every single one of its agencies. The W.H.O. and WEF too.
BUT this is bad politics.
The Conservatives are leagues ahead of the Liberals. I’ll say it: this is an impossible goal, as impossible as the pipedream of Western separation. Vote wise, it’s a loser if you understand that traditional Liberal voters who might be considering supporting the Conservatives could find this disturbing enough to re-consider. The nobility of the UN is a myth; but so is the demonstrably false belief that honest Abe fought the Civil War to end slavery, a view that most highly credentialed people still adhere to.
It’s alarming how many conservatives here are slagging PP.
I have my disappointments too but I urge principled loss-loving cons here to withhold their hatred of PP until he wins the next election. Then have at it if he cowers.
…as impossible as the pipedream of Western separation…
Oh ye of little faith. It’s coming. Slowly, surely. Long before this shithole of a country will ever flog the UN.
“Then have at it if he cowers.”
Here, let me fix that for you:
Then have at it if he cowers again.
Yes, that works too.
But in the meantime SUPPORT THE LEADER which the Liberals always do. AND try to understand that incrementalism is essential, i.e., don’t frighten the children.
We are a long way from Argentina; only in truly desperate times will the public respond well to shock and awe.
“Here, let me fix that for you:
Then have at it if he cowers again.”
You mean WHEN he cowers again…
x Menticide – I have long felt the same way about PP and the nay saying Conservatives – There are well intentioned people who are still willing to waste their vote on the PPC – If the intent is to oust the moslem loving fairy queen we must all get behind PP and get him elected – If he ‘cowers’ we as a country will still be better off –
Voting for your jailers. Stockholm syndrome on steroids.
I’ve been in jail since 2015. I’m confident of getting day time parole. As mentioned: incrementalism.
Nahhh. Your sentence, and mine, started in the spring of 2020. And PeePee et al sat on the condemning tribunal.
Worth noting that the petition requires you attest to being a Canadian citizen OR a resident of Canada. Meaning non-citizens get a say (for what it’s worth) in affecting the decisions of the government.
Needless to say, it should be citizens only. And even better, normally-resident citizens – should who have decamped abroad but retained their passports should stay out of it.
I cant run the mouth that Canada is a globalist work camp and not sign a petition voicing my displeasure..
74,587 signatures as of this moment.
// Man behind Leslyn Lewis’ petition believes UN wants to enslave humanity and modify DNA to turn humans into ‘different creatures’
The petition repeatedly cites buzzwords linked to far-right conspiracies, including “Agenda 2030,” the “World Economic Forum” and the “Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.”
In November, PressProgress reported that tens of thousands of signatures on the petition appeared linked to efforts by far-right influencers and conspiracy groups who were aggressively promoting it on social media. //
