3. Greenland lost its only export industry in the 14th century – ivory. It was simultaneously hit by the Black Death and the onset of the Little Ice Age. Result – end of the Greenland settlements.

4. If you take the word literally, it is not incredible.

   1. Yes, in my own extremely limited experience of Greenland, it’s the utter credibility of it that blows your mind.
