  1. Bankers…Banks and Financial institutions can do their own versions of a ‘margin call’…where they at anytime call in their loans…read your fine print.

With Canadian homeowners in Financial troubles…
If you can’t cover the loan in a timely specification…confiscation could be arranged.

All those secondary signatory are also liable for the loans…as they keep growing due to the massive increase in interest rates.

    1. Our houses are valued by speculation and NOT by its actual value in a normal market place by 90%…
Home prices really have a huge way to fall to be actual value which used to include the deteriorating shack that your in and not the speculation of increased values by homeownership ladder of price.

    2. I am not sure of the financial acumen of many today, but all my life if you did not pay your loans for anything, cars, house, boats, you lost them, as in repo. As far as just calling a loan that also has been done in the past, nothing new there.

I remember the very high interest rates of the early 1980s (i.e. over 20%).

Many people just walked away from their homes.

        1. I sold a house in 1980, I was carrying a 14.5% mortgage, the poor guy who bought it from me assumed the balance of the 14.5% mortgage only to get slammed with 19.5%. I did not buy another house until five years later when rates had gone down and stabilized. I bought and sold 8 houses and one apartment building over the years and the lowest mortgage rate I had was 8.5% in 1970.

  2. The Prime Minister will meet with the Mayor of Trois-Rivières, Jean Lamarche, the Mayor of Shawinigan, Michel Angers, and the Mayor of Bécancour, Lucie Allard. He will be joined by the Minister of Transport and Quebec Lieutenant, Pablo Rodriguez, and the Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, François-Philippe Champagne.

OJ, it seems to me these are the Sacred Frogs of Canada.

  3. “In woke mathematics there is no wrong answer”.

Until the bridge falls down. Then you need a rug. A really big rug.

  4. Add another Billion to Justin’s Trans mountain…

no word on if they are paying them not to work, or just demobilizing the workers until they can start up again

  5. Working pipeline in the 80’s, rules and reg’s were very strict. You could even be fired for having a piss on the side of the right-a-way. Every tissue, cord, anything not natural was picked up cleaned and the land put back to it’s natural state. That was 40 years ago and according to some pipeliners I know it has become even more strict. The tree frogs, grasses, birds will come back with in weeks or months of the crews leaving. Just more cluster f#@kery to delay this and every project.

  6. Re: vaping tax in Ontariowe.

Good! They voted for it, give it to them good & hard. If taxing the hell out of a population is what brings ’em to their senses, so be it.

  7. 800 meters of amphibians and disturbed vegetation? Do the shitheads in Ottawa not know that Abbotsford is farm country? I wonder how the the amphibians and native vegetation are thriving on the farms and pastures. I wish I had a government job. Then I could be deliberately as stupid as a human can be and be rewarded.
