CBC Vancouver staffer arrested and charged in alleged child sex assault

According to the BC Prosecution Service, Vincent Papequash faces one count of sexual interference and one count of sexual assault for allegedly touching a person under the age of 16 for a sexual purpose.

Vancouver police say officers arrested Papequash on Saturday, the same day the offences allegedly took place.

A BCPS spokesperson said he has since been released with conditions

CTV News has learned Papequash was a stranger to the alleged victim, who is a very young child.

There is a court-ordered publication ban on some details of the alleged assault.

Beginning in October of last year and up until his arrest, Papequash worked as an associate producer in the CBC Vancouver newsroom.

He has since deleted his social media accounts and a biography page about him has been removed from the CBC Vancouver website.

Our intellectual and moral betters seem to have a propensity for abusing innocents. How can that be?

Back in the early 1980’s, I was hired to do a systemic building check for fire alarms, sprinklers and location of fire hose cabinets in a high rise building. One floor was occupied by an advertising agency, everyone appeared to be fit and well groomed. Three floors were occupied by the CBC (this was before they centralized all of their departments in the CBC building on Front Street in Toronto). I was appalled by the sloppiness and lack of grooming of the CBC staff. Some actually smelled! The women were all “strong women in sensible shoes” as the late Robin Williams described lesbians. They were uniformly “nasty” to me.
I say this, because I don’t think any of them can get a date with a real adult – they have to stick within their minorities OR go after children (under the age of consent).

CBC now has to hire another minority to check the box.

That thing is initially a woman.

That thing could not get or perform a real job.

Disgusting.

I’m surprised it got charged.

How many cbc “employees” have been charged with molesting kids?
