Guy Gin- How to get Japanese kids to unmask?
When the Japanese academic year started last month, students were no longer required to wear masks at school. But when 1328 Japanese kids were asked whether they’d still keep masking from the beginning of the new school year, they inevitably gave depressing responses.
The only maskers I see these days are lone teenagers.. Take that for what its worth.. They have no peers to apply peer pressure..

Only today, a shop in my neighbourhood finally dropped their mask mandate to enter. To be fair, it’s the type of shop frequented by Karens, the blue-rinse set, and women with more cats than sense.
One could simply tell them what grows in masks. 99% chance of harmful bacteria (95% on the outside), including Pneumonia and Sepsis.
Considering that, masks are not only harmful to the student wearing them, but to the other students and the teachers as well. Simply ban them.
Simply don’t let the stupid, cowardly students in masks in. They are obviously too stupid to learn anything anyway.
Those stats and responses are depressing indeed.

The statistics indicate most Japanese kids who still want masks cited a want to obscure their faces.
So clearly, they don’t all look alike.
