    1. Yes, I find it hard to believe Fox wasn’t aware they’d take this hit. So the danger that Tucker Carlson presented outweighed the projected losses. It’s only money after all and maybe Biden will bail them out. Funny thing is, they will incur the losses and Tucker will still be standing.     The Tucker banishment truly feels EXACTLY like the Bud Light miscalculation … two corporate bodies who intentionally offended their key constituency. I suspect they WANTED to banish people who believe men are men, and that Tucker speaks truth to power. These cretins WANT me gone. And they’ve got their wish. Perhaps this is NOT a miscalculation? But a deliberate act of banishment. Fox News is dead to me. Forever. And Budweiser? Never. Ever. Mission accomplished?

      2. Most thinking people just believe that America should stop fighting a proxy war with Russia in Ukraine. Then the war would end.

        1. The Russians have proven that they don’t have the capacity to conquer Ukraine. But they can hold the Russian areas more or less indefinitely. The Ukrainians have beaten the Russian invasion, and can be confident of beating another one if anyone’s fool enough to try. But they cannot reconquer the Russian districts.

          At the moment both sides declare themselves committed to goals that they cannot possibly achieve. So the only question is how much pointless slaughter do we indulge before they change their minds? The American Democrats say, “at least enough to suit my investment portfolio”. The Orc Dork and his like here say, “at least enough to bring us to orgasm again!” But most thinking people would say, maybe not quite so much?

        2. Steve, you should know better. No, the war won’t end if the United States simply backs down. It will simply hand Ukraine on a platter to Russia. And Putin will then be free to murder millions in Ukraine the way Russia has always done in the past when it was given a free hand. Or do you think this to be a good thing? Do you think that it would have been a good thing if the United States and Britain had simply backed down after Germany overran Poland in 1939?

          1. The United States didn’t do anything when Germany overran Poland. Didn’t even back down. It had nothing to do with them. So that’s hardly a hypothetical. Britain didn’t back down. It declared a war which it then proved unable to fight, and accomplished nothing whatsoever for Poland.

            It might have been a good thing if Great Britain had backed down. That would depend, of course, on what else they did, and since they never did it, we’ll never know. But Poland wouldn’t have suffered any worse than it did. There was nothing the British could do to help them. Not backing down simply produced disaster.

China says that the war is all about propping up four sectors of the US economy, and that the Americans blew up the Nord Stream pipeline, so Zelenskyy’s “long and meaningful talk” seems significant. He told them they should take back Taiwan. It’s possible to condemn everything that Russia has done and still point out that this is an awkward moment, and that Biden is an incompetent fool.

  8. If you haven’t seen them, I recommend viewing Carlson’s recent speech at the the Heritage Foundation and his brief message from his recent trip to Hungary.
    I see a slight and disturbing resemblance to Howard Beale (“Network” 1974). Not so much in the way he presents himself, but in the stark contrast of pure motive versus absolute corruption.
    Tonight’s message makes me feel like throwing open the window and shouting: I’m as mad as hell and I’m not going to take this any more.
    Sobering though, what they did to Beale. The decision was a foregone conclusion.
    Tonight, pray for Tucker Carlson; for they have just discovered that he has the power they can only dream of.

  12. Blackrock recently increased their ownership stake in Fox News to over 15% (past the reporting threshold). AOC called for Tucker and Fox in general to be censored. Lots of pressure from jealous left media and all democrats. Too many things happened all at once for it to be a coincidence

  14. I don’t believe the lawsuit settlement was the cause for Tucker’s removal … however even if true, the $4 per month that I was paying to watch Fox News was lost to them yesterday. Its hard to pay your bills when you sabotage your revenue.
