  1. Only question that needs to be ask is:
What the h-e-double-hockey-stick took him so long???

    1. It’s okay to say “HELL” on this site.

But rest easy, when ( big IF) Polievre wins a majority he will defund CBC just like Harper did,and IF (BIG IF) Max Bernier wins all 338 seats in the next election, he’ll also defund CBC just like Harper did.

The CBC is a sacred cow to Eastern Canada and Old Age pensioners, so while politicians might promise to defund CBC, they’ll manage to keep it going by whatever means necessary to their political survival.

      1. Its amazing the number of early onset dementia Canadians under 70 who only believe something exists if the Corona Broadcasting Corporation tells them it does.

        1. B5

Hmmm…710k outa some 34 billion who can understand some english & read capable…a Juggernaught it isnt.

Irrelevance personified for at least 5 decades. Worthy of the Josef Gebbels irrelevance in Journalism award while kissing Govt (_i_), and cosying up to CLASSIC NAZI ideals.

      2. I’d be happy if they just de-funded CBC TV. Keep CBC Radio, provided it sticks to local news and information, and maybe national programming on weekends, like Cross Country Check-up (with Rex Murphy) or humour (anyone remember Double Exposure?)

      3. Whoa whoa tabernac!!!! I’m a crusty old guy getting the CPP and OAS and that cbc shit is not allowed in my house or my car.

        That is all.

        1. Exactly. The CBC is now the fav of leftists and other assorted crazies, not seniors.

  2. Finally. PS Nothing will change because if you don’t know already, well, you can’t be taught.

  3. Polievre also gets results apparently, since he publicly reached out to Musk on this. The CBC is not amused. I guess the truth hurts.
Now if we can only find out what the take-home pay is for the CEO of CBC. If it is ever released will Singh demand he or she come to parliament to explain why it is so excessive, like they did for Galen Wesson?

    1. From Twatter: “Tait is the president and CEO of the CBC. She is paid a salary of between $422,600 and $497,100 per year and is entitled to a performance bonus of up to 28%.”

I don’t know if that’s factual. That doesn’t add up to a very prestigious salary,so I have my doubts if that’s all the compensation she receives.

      1. How does someone get a performance bonus when the CBC loses market share every single year of its existence?

        1. You’d have to see what her KPI are, one would bet it has nothing to do with market share or ratings

          1. I thought you said Key Perogie Indicator for a minute, and then realized that was a clever Chrystia Freeloader reference.

        2. Maybe she is secretly working for us? (If it’s secret even from her I don’t mind, as long as she keeps getting the right results.)

        3. Yes, I once read that only 4% of Canadians watch the CBC. I used to watch Coronation Street (but the characters became “too stupid to feed themselves”) and then I used to watch re-runs of “Call the Midwife”(note that both of these are BBC produced) but those have now ended. So I watch NOTHING on the CBC.

        1. Seems she was able to commute by air back and forth from New York during the little Killer Plague that we had a short time back!
Everyone knows that you don’t have to produce to get that bonus. Heavens folks! it’s the CBC!
You just have to show up! And she ‘Showed Up’ Through thick and thin!
          Verrrryyy thinnn.

    2. Thousands of thousands of Twitter users were calling for Musk to apply the label for WEEKS before Poilievre decided which way the political winds were blowing, before he spoke up.

Don’t try to make him out to be some “leader” who “gets results”.

If a focus group or polling doesn’t support a policy position, he will ignore the issue at hand.

    1. That would be disappointing.
I want to see some hissy fits.

BTW…what the h-e- double toothpicks is that graphic???

      1. Yah, but… nobody at the CBC cares that the janitor and the receptionist are embarrassed by the Pravda nonsense.

They are, however, so embarrassed that they tell their family and friends they work in a brothel instead of at the CBC.

    1. Battle Perogie. LMAO

Her battle dress is red, well every dress is red. Okay she has one dress.

  4. Hopefully Musk will likewise tag CTV, Global, and any other Canadian news outlets receiving funds from Trudeau.

  5. Poliviere has teed this up perfectly with his letter to musk. Now when libtards complain he can promise to get the “government funded media label” removed. Very simple to do just cut all their funding.

  6. The CBC has 700k followers? What kind of low grade operation are they that they can’t afford more bot farms to follow them?

  7. They have almost 710k followers. I bet if all the cuckservatives giving them eyeballs stopped following it’s half that.

  8. I don’t watch the CBC. Haven’t for over 16 years. A wise decision to which I encourage everyone to do.

  9. CBC has been around longer than the CRTC.
CRTC sprang from the BBG, which replaced CBC’s role as radio and TV industry regulator.
Which is the chicken, and which is the egg ?

  10. Maybe they’ll quit Twitter in a huff for being exposed explicitly as LPC shills.

    We can always hope.
