  5. Users of Oculus VR helmets were foced to open a facebook account to be able to keep using the hardware they bought previously. This was probably in order to boost numbers for Meta and their stupid metaverse initiative. Whatever. People don’t buy VR helmets so they can can attend meeting with low-res virtual avatars of their co-workers and HR cat lady.

  6. Okay, so I gotta ask. Is there actually anything going on in Ukraine? Is there actually a conflict? Or is this all a massive grift? Or should i embrace the power of “and”?

    1. In all other conflicts around the world news media are imbedded with the military reporting on the actions.
      SO far have NOT seen the same with this conflict. Nor food drives and clothes drives for the Ukrainian people.

    2. Russia has lost almost half of its conventional land forces capability over the last year in Ukraine. We very sure it’s lost about 1900 tanks, and perhaps as many as 2400.

      So that would be a big fat yes.

  13. I still remember how the Germans and the Euro crowd mocked and laughed at President Trump demanding that Germany and most of NATO actually pony up their 2% Defense spending.

    Maybe if the Germans ever actually met their funding goals and did not gleefully build a couple of gas pipelines directly from Russia to Germany, Putin might have taken NATO and Germany seriously and not attacked Ukraine.

  17. I don’t buy that there was any intention to “win” in Vietnam or Afghanistan. Has the Korean war been won? No. It stopped for the time being.

    The MI(S)C (military industrial security complex) makes no money on wars that have ended. They hugely profit from ongoing wars and rumours of wars.

    The democrats jumped into Viet Nam and bailed when it became an unpopular war. They are completely disgusting and a criminal organization.
