      1. Lived in Rez. Was on Residence Council a few years, too. New company gets the Food Services contract, manager sits down w/ a few other managers, myself, couple other bit players. Starts bragging that they’ve introduced a half dozen new kinds of muffins. I just stared at him. Let’s just say the meeting went downhill from there. So did the “food”.

    The less coddled, the more likely they are diligent students.

    The only difference is that the convicts are more aware of their inadequacies.
    Every Child gets sentenced to 12 years of “Public Education”.where they all do their time.or get truancy charges laid on their parents..
    When they go on to college,unable to read and comprehend English or make themselves understood in any language,they are celebrating their release,not really capable of learning..
    Could be why the trades are seeing so many older apprentices..
    Once they finally decide to learn a useful skill,they are motivated to learn.
