International Trade Minister Mary Ng has apologized after Canada’s conflict of interest and ethics commissioner concluded she placed herself in a conflict of interest through her involvement in a decision by her office to award contracts to a friend’s company.
Ng’s office signed contracts for media and communications training with public relations agency Pomp & Circumstance, co-founded and run by Amanda Alvaro.
The commissioner stated in his report, released Tuesday, that Ng and Alvaro are friends according to the definition in the Conflict of Interest Act. Alvaro is a regular panellist on CBC’s Power & Politics.
According to this: If you recall, Amanda co founded a non profit – ArtBound with Katie Telford. Artbound worked in support of Free The Children AKA WE Charity. IT’S all CONNECTED
Apology should be good. After all it’s not like she spent taxpayer’s money on a $8 glass of orange juice!

I saw a YT video recently where this lady, (Mandarin speaker, living in US), detailed in a way so explicit and fact-based I’ve never seen before, that the entire Chinese economy is silo-ed off by industry and each silo is owned monopolistically by a princeling family — families originally tied to the Maoist takeover of China. They have billions upon billions, to the extent that there are no “Chinese whales” that are not connected to the princelings or exist at their sufferance. They also launder their money outside of China. The family of recently departed Jiang Jimin has assets just in the US in the tens of billions. All the numbers associated with the princelings would seem to dwarf the Forbes list of wealthiest people. Which is not surprising because the wealthiest families on earth are smart enough to hide their assets from public scrutiny.
The Canadian Liberal Party functions in very much the same way. They oversee an economy for the financial benefit of the politicians, their apparatchiks, and their corporatist cronies. This being Canada, they are only able to do it on a penny-ante scale compared to the Chinese.

She got her now ex-husband, the founder of Wind Mobile, to donate a lot to Lieberal candidates.
Mary Ng and Amanda Alvaro know each other at least from the 2008 Gerard Kennedy federal election campaign, if not going back further.

Duffy claimed expenses that he wasn’t entitled to. He lived in Ottawa but claimed his residence as PEI. When he got caught Harper’s chief of staff Nigel Wright cut the check to get the puffster off the hook.
Duffy didn’t do anything wrong and was exonerated by a Judge who thrashed the Media and the Crown prosecutors for their coverage and their persecution of an innocent man.
Anyone following the case knew Duffy didn’t do anything “criminal”, but he was abused by the Media and the Justice system anyhow… ultimately innocent of all trumped up charges.
The Liberals and their Corporate and State backed Media saw Duffy as a threat and a traitor so they destroyed him knowing he didn’t do anything wrong.
