      1. I am almost finished Season 7 of “Ray Donovan”. After the previous seasons, I have ZERO respect for anyone in Hollywood or in American politics. To quote a common refrain here at SDA “They have no moral compass”.

    Bottom line, actresses prostituted themselves to him, didn’t like it, and decided to throw their celebrity weight around, just like they do with climate change, trans rights, etc, but, in this case, the political right was happy to swallow Allred’s line, for reasons of political expedience. That ain’t justice.

    1. Weinstein was the public sacrifice necessary to keep #MeToo away from the rest of the Hollywood pedos. Toss the pack a carcass and they stop baying for blood. I don’t recall a single allegation that rose to the level of sexual assault; IIRC they were never any allegations of force or physical coercion. I suppose you could make a case for extortion or quid pro quo sexual harassment.

      1. In my books, extortion requires the use of force. As far as sexual harrasment is concerned, If a woman says “I want x, y and z”, and a man says “Sure, but only if you blow me.” is indicative only of a deficiency of character, and definitely not a crime. If the woman acquiesces, that is usually indicative of a deficiency of character on her part, to boot.
        Is a “Gas, grass or ass” extortion?
        Also, one cannot help but notice the change in quality of Hollywierd’s offerings since the arrest.

          2+2=4. Some seem to think that forcing God to tell the truth is blasphemy, but I say He cannot lie. Only humans can tell lies with words, and animals do it all the time, albeit without words.
          The truth is horribly painful, mind you.
