  1. Anyone else find it strange that we’re participating in a comic book where “evil” billionaires are out to get us and only “good” billionaires can “save” us?

    1. Are you not entertained?

You are an old man who thinks in terms of nations and peoples. There are no nations. There are no peoples. There are no Russians. There are no Arabs. There are no third worlds. There is no West. There is only one holistic system of systems, one vast and immane, interwoven, interacting, multivariate, multinational dominion of dollars. Petro-dollars, electro-dollars, multi-dollars, reichmarks, rins, rubles, pounds, and shekels. It is the international system of currency which determines the totality of life on this planet. That is the natural order of things today. That is the atomic and subatomic and galactic structure of things today! There is no America. There is no democracy. There is only IBM and ITT and AT&T and DuPont, Dow, Union Carbide, and Exxon. Those are the nations of the world today.

What do you think the Russians talk about in their councils of state — Karl Marx? They get out their linear programming charts, statistical decision theories, minimax solutions, and compute the price-cost probabilities of their transactions and investments, just like we do. We no longer live in a world of nations and ideologies. The world is a college of corporations, inexorably determined by the immutable bylaws of business.

And our children will live to see that perfect world in which there’s no war or famine, oppression or brutality — one vast and ecumenical holding company, for whom all men will work to serve a common profit, in which all men will hold a share of stock, all necessities provided, all anxieties tranquilized, all boredom amused.

  2. Still much room for Twitter to interpret: 1) what is a “negative” tweet? For example, is this a “negative” tweet ? western civilization is in decline; 2) what is a “hate” tweet? For example, is this a “hate” tweet? Canada is allowing too many immigrants given health care and housing crises; 3) “freedom of reach” is not permitted, but what does it mean?

    1. Agreed. Twitter hasn’t really taken a principled stance – just a different person dictating (for now that’s Elon) what is and isn’t acceptable based on their feelings at that moment in time.

“Your post is being deboosted because we think Elon would find it negative or hateful. Try to do better next time.”

    2. “Negative” means what?
What about reinforcing the law on Twitter – you know, you can’t sell people, body parts, can’t plan your next act of terror.
But being “negative” – yeah, big problem.
Trump will not be allowed back, imo.
      Elon stands with “Sleepy” Joe.

  3. “Trump decision has not yet been made.” Also, Alex Jones denied.
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. They must have something on him.

      1. DB

Will Trump give up such a great platform for getting out his message?

I think Trump will pivot back to Twitter

        1. joe, I posted a link to an article a few days back in Tips quoting a statement Trump made recently. Can’t find it now. Apparently he prefers the UI of Truth Social over Twitter, among other things.

          Quien sabe?

  4. Elon Musk is beholden to China for his electric car business. He is not on our side. I could care less if Twatter sinks or swims.

    1. No, he isn’t.
You are incapable of discriminating between “owning a factory” in China and “beholden to China.”

      1. He certainly is as was evidenced by China showing who’s boss when they forced Musk to recall 285k+ Teslas due to a software issue that did not exist – Musk was quick to do as he was told.

      2. Owning a factory in China is being beholden to China, unless you don’t care what happens to that factory.

          1. No.

The goal is to turn all our brains into computers and link it all up to the internet. That’s the simple explanation.

            The end of privacy.

            Look up transhumanism.

    2. “…Elon Musk is beholden to China for his electric car business”

He was/is damned well beholden to the poor fleeced taxpayers for his EV subsidies, grants, and tax concessions.

  5. The Babylon Bee refused to comply with onerous requirements from twitter in March and moved to places like Gettr. They seem to be doing fine. As of a few moments ago they had not posted anything new to twitter.

  6. Looks like there are a lot of idiots who think “not changing TOS” = same as old Twatter. These idiots don’t seem to know what “impartial application of TOS” means.

  7. The longer Twitter holds out on Trump the higher his brand value goes. As you can hear, Trump is not complaining.

Alex Jones, that’s bizarre and does not reflect positively on Musk. Except that perhaps he too is afraid that the Deep State, which has fully committed to impoverishing Jones, will turn to Musk next if he let Jones back in.

    1. Musk needs to get his azz to Mars.
If he pussyfoots with the Big Boys they wont let him fly his rockets.
Everything he has , has been bet on Spacex getting Starship operational.

    2. Alex Jones is a liar. Redistributing the Newtown as fraud claim was not accurate and caused a lot of unneeded pain. He claimed that an illegal alien started thr Santa Rosa fire. Just making stuff up for click bait. He is no loss to anyone.

      1. Alex Jones was denied a trial. He provided over a million documents in discovery and was issued a default judgment for not providing discovery that didn’t exist. In sentencing the claimants quoted extensively on the apparently non-existent discovery. The judges in both trials were legal retards.

  8. Free speech is free speech. There are no exceptions. You can be hateful, insulting, gauche, annoying, dishonest, inappropriate, instigating, patently false etc. It is up to the consumer to determine the value of your speech and treat you how they see appropriate.

There are no omnipotent beings on this planet who can label what you or anyone else says as definitively “this” or “that”.

Anything else is censorship and should be described as such regardless of the intentions of the censor.

  9. “Negative” means what?
What about reinforcing the law on Twitter – you know, you can’t sell people, body parts, can’t plan your next act of terror.
But being “negative” – yeah, big problem.
