Imagine, the majority of Canadians support wearing masks. The fools still do not know that masks do not and cannot prevent the inhaling or exhaling of a virus. Damn it the stupid is strong out there.
I’ve noticed an uptick in the number of mask wearers locally in grocery stores. And very few of the blue and cloth type masks. They’re all the heavier, N95 type masks.
An aside, I was visiting a friend in the hospital a few weeks back after his surgery. While sitting there, one of his doctors came in sporting doubled up blue masks. While I never said anything at the time because of potential blow back to him, the first thing that came to mind was, “How do you expect anyone to take anything you say seriously?”
Imagine people just not wearing them.

I saw a lot of assholes walking around outside in downtown Ottawa yesterday…and many were wearing masks.
I always try to be respectful of elderly people doing such. They may have ailments and a useless, dirty mask may help them mentally cope with those issues.
But many of those walking assholes I saw were young people.
When the youth are converted, the future grows dark.

I’m one of those older people. I wear a mask when I’m indoors in a crowd, and whenever I’m in a hospital.
I have several underlying medical conditions. COVID, and probably the severe forms of winter flu, would seriously affect me, if not kill me.
I only go to hospitals when I absolutely have to. They’re great places to get sick.
And I know the masks may only be what, 20 effective? It’s cheap insurance to reduce my risks. But I make an informed decision, that’s right for me.
I respect others right not to wear a mask.
When I grocery shop, always early in the AM so no crowds, I don’t wear a mask. And I never wear a mask outside.
I do not respect Joe Biden, who wears a mask, then pulls it down to cough or sneeze.
I do not respect Justin Trudeau who wears masks for photo ops, then immediately takes them off.
Funny, where I am I see, as I’m out and about in a variety of public spaces, there is a 5% mask participation. Are the people so desirous of mask wearing, “for their safety”, waiting, like an obedient dog, for the say so? Or was the poll conducted only in Ottawa?
