  1. Yes it is smoke and mirrors. But we are in this place because of ….”former NDP premier Allen Blakeney and his attorney general, Roy Romanow.”!!
They agreed to a constitution that preserved our colonial status, removed property rights, made federal law supersede provincial law, entrenched the “UN-equalization process.

We will be trampled on until the day we seriously say fix this or we are out of this CON-federation!
For until they think we might get out, will they do anything to keep us in.
Stamping our feet in frustration will accomplish nothing.

    1. Property rights were not removed. They were wrongly not included in the wording. That doesn’t mean Canadians don’t have property rights. They exist by custom and convention.

  2. She’s NDP. Isn’t that the party propping-up Skippy McBlackface and his merry band of Liebral kleptokrats? If the NDP stopped whoring themselves out to the Liberals, this wouldn’t be an issue.

  3. Given what our constitution has proven to be, the last thing I care about is if this act is constitutional.

    1. Our Constitution is, as they say, a parchment guarantee. Nothing more. We have seen how easy it is for government to stomp all over it.

  4. Isn’t Moe building more bird choppers and shiny solars? Of course it is just window dressing. Purpose is to quiet down the inconvenient right of his party.

    1. The government owned utility, saskpower, is building productive power plants as well as wasting money on wind and solar.

Saskpower has 4 × 300MW coal units that will get shut down in the next decade. They have already built 2 × 300MW combined cycle natgas plants and another one is on the way. So the province will only need to build one more 300MW natgas unit to make up for the big coal units decommissioning.

They haven’t built any big hydro units for ages but they are purchasing hydro power from small hydro generators and signed a 30 year deal with Manitoba hydro.

Spending on never-producing-when-you-need-it wind and solar makes zero sense for electrical needs so it’s either 1) follow the money or 2) to be used for carbon trading or 3) attempting to satisfy the never satisfied federal and provincial green blob.

  5. Talking out of both sides of your mouth 101. Instructor: Professor Young.

However, she let this slip – She said the doesn’t know if the bill, or part of it, is constitutional, but “No matter what legislation a provincial government introduces at a provincial level, if it’s unconstitutional, it’s unconstitutional.”

I’m well versed in NDP speak, so let me translate: “As a party we are prepared to fold like cheap tents on every federal climate change directive because you know…constitution.
Province can’t keep the lights or heat homes? Constitution.
Fed restrictions on fertilizer production and usage? Um, constitution. Whaddya gonna do?”

Well, at least she didn’t do a rehash of that sappy and equally mythical “diehard redstate Republican/airport bar” story.
    Small mercies.

  6. If Trudeau cared about greenhouse gas emissions he wouldn’t be burning as much jet fuel. Any of his GHG legislation is purely political.
Trudeau doesn’t care about the Constitution. He violated the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Then, for his own megalomania, he invoked the Emergency Act.

It’s important for Saskatchewan to act now. If Sask 1st is unconstitutional, then so are Quebec’s laws. Without equality there is no Canada.

    1. “Without equality there is no Canada.”

      Suits me just fine.

AB/SK haven’t been “equal” partners since 1905. All we’ve ever been is a Milch Cow to the Laurentian elite. More than a century of this garbage and some still havn’t figgered it out. Tired of this shit.

  7. The Sask party throw out some morsels that give the impression that they are standing strong and it appeals to the conservative base. Unfortunately, they continue be scared by the media on any issue that comes along. They send mixed messages on issues and don’t seem to have any considerable depth.
It appears that Sask Power hear them saying that we have to move to greener sources so they continue to disregard our present energy production while spending money on foolishness. They tell us how they are standing up for the energy sector while sask power is heading the other way! I hope I’m wrong but this may end up to be quite bad as the money that could be used to develop and maintain our system will be spent on unicorns.
The crown is continuing to aggressively prosecute anyone with covid tickets to this day, even though Moe has said covid is not an issue anymore. Is that not a mixed message? Why are they using up court time and resources to chase these people when there are real issues that need attention? I’m sure they’ll say it’s not political but they never chased anyone as heartily as those who stood up against the mandates. And couldn’t find time or resources to look for the 480 known criminals that were on the lamb. One of which, went on a murder spree!
There’s tons of examples like this but these are a couple that give me serious concerns about their ability to lead.

  8. Lance, you make very good points. If a constitutional challenge can be declared moot , why not covid tickets? Our real dilemma being how to elect people that want real autonomy and policy that promotes the real advantages Saskatchewan has without putting the NDP into power. Jumping from the frying pan to the fire benefits no one.

    1. The constitutional challenge is the in the hands of appointed judges . To think that they are unbiased is laughable when they let known criminals out and pursue people who exercise their right to stand up against the mandates. Other provinces have dropped their charges while sask doubles down on it. No rational reason to do this, in my opinion. The best chance we have is to bend the ears of our mla and hope the message gets through!

  9. At worst the Saskatchewan First legislation is symbolic. At best it will stop the federal government from systematically destroying our economy. I have no idea how it will play out and neither does anyone else. I hope it helps the province to not tolerate being the Trudeau’s government’s and the rest of Canada’s doormat. We have the right to energy security, food security and economic prosperity. The province needs to achieve those essential goals without asking for permission from Ottawa.

  10. Constitutional?
    From an Never Done Payer?
After Ottawa and Dread Covid Theatre..What kind of retard falls back onto the “Constitution”?

Now confirmed as a worthless document imposed over our natural rights and freedoms, designed to deny us the legal exercise of either..

    Progressives Lying since 1968..
Can Ahh Duh..A fraud since Pierre The Idiot.

And all our so called leaders?
Oath sworn to “protect our constitutional rights and freedoms”..an easy promise to keep,if we actually have none.
    Not one..
Not one of 338 stood up.
Uni-Party one and all..sharing a belief that they and only they know what is best for you and me..
