  1. Never cutting the size of government, always increasing taxes….

and never understanding why things are getting less affordable.

    1. Seriously. This is what passes for “the conservative Party” in England? WTFH!? This man is dooming ALL the English people to government dependence and serfdom. England has rewound its civilization to pre-Magna Carta days. England has reverted to The Holy Roman Empire … the “holy church” is Global Warmism … the King is a Billionaire Finance Thief.

    1. Wonder when Britain will have scenes from the Sri Lanka uprisings repeating themselves on their streets?

      1. Either tax and have no money, or print and have money that won’t buy anything.

Why have Brit police that let lefties block highways and Muslims groom, pervert, children. Or are twerking at a violence parade? Of course who would take your butter knife and jail you for mean gay thing speach?

And the NHS? Wait hours for a ambulance, then get your surgical appointment in 2024 from Dr. Mummrabbi of Poiglash University, Dungheepostan.

    2. The Brits deserve this. Every single one of my British relatives said Truss had to go. They all said they couldn’t afford tax cuts right now as they had spent so much fighting covid. They all believed they had to pay for it somehow and looked forward to seeing Truss replaced.
Well, they got what they wanted. Hope they have enough left to pay for heat, fuel and food.

  2. Governments have this habit of thinking your money is their money. Mr. Sunak won’t be bothered by any tax raises.

        1. Bingo Menticide…

I find it interesting that we have the same Globalist Filth Woodrow had pushing for an Independant Federal Reserve….no Surprise whatsoever… twas planned, as was WWI, II and pretty much all the BS prior…and since

    1. It came years ago. Top marginal income tax rate in UK 45%. Top marginal income tax rate in Manitoba 50.4%.

  3. Interesting how we went from “Interest rates are so low the government would be foolish not to borrow as much as they could” to “All the Covid spending ramped up the debt so much it’ll be nothing but pain for years to come”

  4. They may have to revisit those numbers when the bond market crashes…

Also, dead vaxed people don’t pay taxes either.
Also, this will dovetail perfectly with last week’s ban on fracking.

PM Rishi seems to be optimistic.

  5. Oh, that will work – NOT. Doubling down on stupid. Cutting wasteful, inefficient, unnecessary government departments and workers is where to start. Idiots.

  6. Taxes kill jobs.
People who aren’t working don’t pay taxes.
    Stupid has become a religion.
    Film at 11.

  7. When you corrupt your morals for power or money…

    You eventually lose everything…

    How…

You eventually see a mass sea of corrupted people corrupting everyone and everything…

We are reaching peak corruption world…

    It’s easy to steal…

    It’s easy to lie…

    Don’t easily corrupt your morals…

Your everlasting soul is counting on you…

    Be good…

    Do good…

    Don’t follow evil…

    Ever…

  8. Tax increases? I thought you could print as much as you wanted as long as it was sovereign debt and you weren’t constrained by pesky things like tax revenue. Modern Monetary Theory says so.

Not that increasing tax rates increases tax revenues necessarily.

  9. Bulletin – coming to Canada also. Disgusting that so many of us have seen this story before- but you know it was going to be different this time! File under elections have consequences.

  10. So who gets the hatred – the guy who buys stuff on credit or the guy who has to pay the bill?

  11. One day, people will realize their leaders were installed, and their elections were a pretense. Perhaps, then things will change but I doubt it. More likely, they’ll ask for more bugs in their gruel, and thank the chosen ones for it.

  12. I’ve been binge watching Cycling Mikey of “Angry Doctors” YouTube fame.

Their gubmint can’t even make a road.

  13. We’re nearing the end of the age of prosperity in the western world. The dead hand of government is steering the middle class into have-not status, but there’s lots of blame to go around.

  14. Will these be actual spending cuts or just decreases in the rate of increase?

Honestly, freezing tax thresholds isn’t a terrible idea. Taxes should be flat and this is an easy to flatten taxes.

Altogether this would be less offensive if he had kept fracking and made building housing easier. What a crappy country why would anyone live there or in most of Europe? I wouldn’t be surprised if Dubai’s flood of Russian ultrarich are joined by more and more British ultrarich, at first a trickle then more and more.
