Democrat No More

Tulsi Gabbard;

I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism, actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms, hostile to people of faith & spirituality, demonize the police & protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans, believe in open borders, weaponize the national security state to go after political opponents, and above all, dragging us ever closer to nuclear war.

I believe in a government that is of, by, and for the people. Unfortunately, today’s Democratic Party does not. Instead, it stands for a government of, by, and for the powerful elite. I’m calling on my fellow common sense independent-minded Democrats to join me in leaving the Democratic Party. If you can no longer stomach the direction that so-called woke Democratic Party ideologues are taking our country, I invite you to join me.

If you can no longer stomach the direction that so-called woke Democratic Party ideologues are taking our country, I invite you to join me.

Longer version.

“I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that’s under the complete control of an elitist cabal of war mongers who are driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue and stoking anti-white racism, who actively worked to undermine our God given freedoms that are enshrined in our Constitution, who are hostile to people of faith and spirituality, demonize the police will protect criminals at the expense of law abiding Americans who believe in open borders, who weaponize the national security state to go after their political opponents. And above all, were dragging us ever closer to NUCLEAR WAR,” Gabbard said.

    1. Ya riiiiiiiiiiiiight…
What they say and what they do are completely different.
They’re totally running by how opinion polls are a swinging.

I’ve fallen for that sucker play too many times by many different people.

      1. This is consistent with what Gabbard has been saying for a long time now. She’s the epitome of a classic liberal, which is increasingly out of step with the Democratic elite.

        1. Exactly so, KM. This is precisely why Hilda-bitch went after her so voraciously in the runup to the 2020 US presidential election.

          1. Hillary called Tulsi a Russian asset didn’t she? So just as bad as Trump, which was the worst epithet she could think of.

  2. You go girl!

She’s a very attractive politician, and not just physically.

We haven’t heard the last of her.

    1. Well … the RINO’s won’t have her as they are all loading up on Raytheon stock ahead of the undeclared WAR on Russia

  3. My question is .. what took Tulsi so long to make this move. Next, will others take her cue and move on up with her.

I think She has a contract with Fox News … No?

If so … then we see what’s up.

I’ve always liked her and I hope she runs as a conservative … I’ll be she would win.

  4. Gabbard is a die-hard lefty who finally realizes the battle is no longer a partisan one between left and right ideologies, but a fight for our very existence between the elites and the lower classes. Better late than never.

With her sanity now leaving the flock, the cultish Democrat party is just that much further ‘out there’.

      1. She supports:
        Federally Funded Abortion
        The Green New Deal
        Universal Government run health care
Gun control measures that exceed what Justin is doing

tell us again why she’s a classic liberal?

        1. You listed four losers.

The Supreme court just nixed the first item.
The New Green Deal has gotten old and it’s dying a slow death as we watch it destroy our economies … Winter is coming.
Look at Canada’s government-run healthcare … currently in collapseGoing to get worse.
finally, there is a thriving gig economy biz in burying guns … until we need them.

So, what she supported and what IS … are very different things.

        2. Actually she’s been quite emphatic about keeping the private health insurance option and not forcing everyone into the public system.

  5. Her presidential run web site was clear that she was anti gun and supported confiscating anything that was mildly useful as a real self defense weapon. Now she is all in for AR 15s, apparently. Well, which is it? Does she really think that my memory is that bad? Sounds like another hypocritical politician willing to do and say anything to garner support and donations. I don’t trust any pol that changes their view so radically over such a short period of time. How can she be trusted if she cannot clearly state a position that has any consistency over time?

    1. Please provide a short list of principled politicians who meet your acid test.

Which saintly ones have never changed positions based on either new information or political reality?

In the U.S. system it is not possible to have the same policies to win a nomination and a general election.

Canada is simpler – you just need nice hair and a famous daddy. Policies don’t come into it.

    2. So what? We should be thankful for politicians like Brandon, and AOC firmly committed to their political insistence on destroying America? Political evolution is a sign of maturity.

    1. Well at least she’s a military veteran and loves her country.
Joe Biden on the other hand with his North Streams global warming policies, has already put enough methane gas in the atmosphere to make up for all the cows in my lifetime plus 400 years. Now wants Nuclear winter war with Putin; Wonder how much the temperature of the Earth is going to increase, maybe 200°. It’s been prophesied the Earth will roll and stagger like a drunken man, I think that’s true. God will move the Jet Airstream from Atrtic Air to keep us from dying from all the Nuclear fallout. Way to go Joe, Way too go.
HOW DARE YOU ! HOW DARE YOU !
      8 YEAR’S are almost up.

  6. Gabbard is a powerful politician with charisma to spare.. The democrats, much like our liberals are lost in a thought experiment of their own ideology.. When Trump was elected the upper class promised the activist class everything they wanted to bring him down.. Academia and the media were overjoyed.. The middle class not so much..

This shopping spree is now what passes for political momentum.. Its talking points.. Its analysis.. All filtered through the anti Trump Gin Mill for easy consumption.. We are run by nutcases who have given themselves a job of what they would rather do (talk shit all day) than the job they were hired to do..

Gabbard is 100% correct.. So firmly planted in the center she could run for President and win.. Activists and agitators have no place in the halls of power.. They are professional assholes after all..

    1. Reply to Bucky,

Old dementia Joe Biden is 80 years old, He doesn’t give ashit if all you young people die.
      He has Grandures of going out in a Blaze of Glory;
      Screw 4 billion people.

Democrats Shit in their own Nest, but eventually everyone will pay the price.

  7. “I didn’t leave the Democratic Party, the Democratic Party left me.” Ronald Reagan

There is a lesson in there for Canadian politics.
Liberals will need a psychological ‘out’ to leave the Liberal Party of Canada.
    This gives them that out.

Reagan’s quote lets them hold their heads high and say “I was right to vote for the Liberals in the past but I can’t any longer.”
They were dumb to vote Liberal in the past too, but take the win.

  8. She’s going to siphon votes in the next presidential race. The question is from which side will she siphon the most. Maybe we should call her Ross Perot II.

      1. She strikes me as a great choice for vice President. Literate, well spoken, anti-war AND has never jailed a states worth of black men.

Could she swing Hawaii to the red? LOL no frocking way. The dems have heaped her in with Bill Mahr. “Yuck, Conservative.”

  9. There’s no way she belongs in the Democratic Party. She’s actually pretty good looking….

  10. I would like the chance for a private, one on one talk with her.
There are some very loud people for whom she is the devil, because she was a Democrat and said AR’s are evil.
    But I wonder …

She lives in Hawaii. To get anywhere in politics in Hawaii you have to be a democrat. To be a democrat in Hawaii you have to swear on a stack of bibles (or maybe it’s goat skulls, for Democrats, who knows) that abortion from conception to fifteen years after delivery is a civil right, and that idea of the general population owning any sort of firearm or possessing anything more offensive than a not very pointy stick is an offense against the laws of creation (and WEF).

I would not be surprised if her private opinions differ widely from those approved by her (then) Dem controllers.

  11. The US has been a single party state since the 50’s. One party with 2 heads.

Maybe a legitimate 3rd party will emerge? Turmoil produces strange things in both democracies and totalitarian regimes.

    1. I’ve been wondering since about 2009 if the US will end up with three or four parties out of the current two, but so far nothing has really emerged from the dust around the feet of the Pushmi-Pullyu ruling parties.

  12. The abortion issue is slipping away from the Democrats.

Republican candidates are saying: “I’m pro-life as an individual for moral reasons, but as a politician for all of my constituents I will support a 15 week limit law.”

Democrats are stuck with: “It should be a decision between a woman and her doctor.”

In the current situation, the Republican position seems more realistic and rational. Also, there are probably more single issue voters on the economy, crime and border control than on abortion. Saw a survey where abortion was the deal breaker for only 5%.

  13. 2024 would be interesting with Donald Trump running for (re)election with Tulsi Gabbard as a running mate. American politics would be really fascinating…

    1. Yikes..you do realize that Tulsi Gabbard is anti-2nd amendment….and all in for single payer universal healthcare….right?

Look at this for what it is. Gabbard is NOT leaving the democrat party because of issues. She’s doing so out of electoral strategy. She can’t hope to rangle in the democrat base. The democrats in power won’t allow it. They actually removed her from some of the primary debates despite polling better than those that participated (including Biden at the time). She’s not chosen, so her strategy is to try and pull votes from the moderate pool. At the same time she sees the absolute shit show that is the democrat party right now, and thinks she can pull votes from them as well.

It doesn’t mean that she’s right on the issues. On most of them she is dead wrong….and doubling down on that. She is the democrat version of republican, Nikki Haley. They are both opportunists who will change their values on a dime if it means getting elected.

There, I said it. Prove me wrong.

  14. Why no Liberal MP has said this in Canada? I don’t understand why they are all in lockstep.

    1. If a librano MP said anything near this they would immediately be taken out to the woodshed and then excommunicated from caucus never to return.

Party discipline and loyalty to the leader matter most in the LPC. Leave your personal morals at home. They’re not wanted anywhere near caucus.

  15. 1850 John Stuart Mill;”On Liberty”.
Liberals chose their name to reflect those ideals.
Whatever Canadian “Liberals” and American Demon Rats are,Seekers after Liberty they are not.

  16. She’s still a big gov’t type, admittedly less lefty than some GOP people.
She’s more like a European right-winger than an American one.
If the Dims weren’t constantly gaslighting the people, she’d be a good Dim, kinda like JFK was.
JFK had flaws, but he was still to the right of GWB, HWB, McCain, and many others, as is Tulsi.

If I were an American, I’d vote for her over Romney and the like, but not over Trump, DeSantis, or Cruz.

  17. Pathetic all the commenters here simping for Tulsi. Seems her looks get her half of her support.

    JD had it right above;

    “She supports:
    Federally Funded Abortion
    The Green New Deal
    Universal Government run health care
Gun control measures that exceed what Justin is doing”

She was also a fence sitter on Trump’s bogus impeachment trial, voting “present”.

I’d rather support an ugly hag with real common sense principles than a decent looking political opportunist with her finger in the wind… see also Danielle Smith.

    1. She is no classical liberal. She’s still a big gov’t Dem, just more along the lines of a European one.

  18. What’s with all these people saying she’s a classical liberal type.
I don’t know her gun rights position, but I do know that she thinks that the sh*t show that is Canadian healthcare should be implemented in the USA, on a scale 10x bigger.
She’s a classical Democrat, ie not woke. That does not make her a classical liberal.
At any rate, the issues have entirely superseded the feds, and federal elections, and anybody with more than 2 neurons to rub together knows it. The feds cannot fix what is wrong with the feds, even with 5 Trump terms in a row.
Article 5 time, and if that don’t work…well, you know.

    1. HoHo
Problemo si many posters in here are NOT conservatives, so their/your purity demands are BULLSHIT. Last time I checked, Canada’s healthcare was # 29, and most that were better, were/are dual systems, and I support that type of set up.

  19. There’s not a lot of distance between Gabbard and AOC.
    Political opportunists.

Gabbard wouldn’t condemn Muslim violence. Went to visit the butcher Assad in Syria and came back suggesting there was,” a lot of misinformation out there.”

Don’t be fooled by a pretty face. She a Democrat to the bone. She just doesn’t belong to the party….at the moment.

  20. I’m a long way from being a fan of hers but she did say more in defense of the Jan 6th political prisoners than 99% of the Republicans.
