In PipelineOnline.ca’s continuing series on the apparent end of additional carbon capture implementation on this province’s coal-fired power plants, leading to the eventual death of the coal industry, today’s story is reaction from the reeve of the RM of Estevan, Jason LeBlanc.
Back in 2019, before he became reeve of the Rural Municipality of Estevan No. 5, Jason LeBlanc was standing in deep snow on Parliament Hill, protesting the carbon tax imposed by the Liberal federal government. And now the largest industry in his RM will likely be largely shut down by the end of this decade, due to that government’s policies against coal-fired power.

“The government is knocking on our own people,” he said, speaking of Saskatchewan. “The government is who’s buying into this? And they need to just stand up and say, ‘No.’
“The pendulum always swings. Our ancestors looked for any way to heat the house and to do stuff. And they figured out a way, and it was coal.”
“Other parts of the world are starting to go back. They know it’s not sustainable. It can’t be done. And we have it here. It’s already producing,” he said.
We also need to do alot more about harvesting our forests that grow back at an incredibly quick rate.
From tapping them for sugars to chemical compositions…to building materials…to firewood production.
Our environmentalists REALLY ARE IGNORANT to the massive amounts of forestry we actually have which are constantly reseeding and growing some more.
Forest fires are our biggest pollution due to the massive amounts that are available and aren’t being utilized.

Massive Hydro Electric Generation
Forestry 2nd only to Russia
3 Ocean Coasts
Largest amount of Fresh WATER. (often overlooked)
Agriculture that can & does feed half the world.
Relatively Temperate Climate (well, it ain’t “Arctic” along the 49th)
THE one thing we also have in abundance is a population that is Beyond
IGNORANT & UTTERLY F’ING STUPID…SADLY, one we can’t convert into Useful Energy.
Our water also changes directions at a certain latitude and isn’t going to run out into the United States…
Funny about that is no glaciers are along that line of water flow changes.
It’s due to rotational velocities are much slower on water which is a dense flowing material.
We live on a rotating orb…with a multitude of velocities.

You forgot uranium. We have lots of it.
Take away coal and natural gas and electric cars will become ornaments and nothing more.
