  1. Your daily reminder that the Russian “referendum” is an obvious sham that nobody will recognize. Just like the referendum in Crimea.

      1. Certainly, they are sending soldiers house to house and soldiers are recording the vote. Then they do absente votes electronically…

And never mind that the occupiers have no right to conduct any referendum on the occupation to begin with.

          1. Somebody here is a hypocrite with a credibility problem of being a joke on the world stage…

Always following the mainstream media’s propaganda narrative to the bitter end that he’s paying for.

So, anything the media puts out, you know it ain’t at all the truth.
Even this tragic storm that’s hit the Atlantic Provinces is being politicized to following the same failed global warming narrative…so sad not to see a leader who actually wants to help and not for his egotistical photo opportunity.

        1. Why don’t they send in a tractor-trailer with 700,000 premarked ballots from New Jersey and tick them off the voters’ list in ethnic areas where nobody ever votes creating a patriotic 100% or greater turnout? Oops – you’re talking about Russia.

      1. Tired of imports be they from mid-east, asia or eastern europe bringing their old country tribal hatreds over here spewing BS to get our government to intervene on the behalf of their tribe with us picking up the tab when as in the case of the Ukraine, they have turned down offers to settle the conflict.

        1. Nice try Kremlin bot. The elimination of russia is in the strategic interest of civilized word.

    1. Ignoring even the close racial, linguistic and historical similarity of Ukrainians to Russians, 27% of Ukrainians ARE Russian, and they live in the East and South. I don’t think a single “Ukrainian” ever lived in Crimea, which has been Russian for 250 years, despite whatever Krustchev did. The polls are not shams.

      1. No, 27% of Ukrainians are not russian. Just because someone speaks russian, it does not make them russian. and if they are russian and refuse to join civilization, they can go to russia and be russian until they drink themselves to death. Crimea was historically neither Ukrainian nor russian. Then russians ethnically cleansed it. That does not make Crimea russian.

      1. Absolutely full of Kremlin talking points.

Here’s a big clue: Turkey and Kazhakstan recognize Crimea as Ukraine.

      2. Re. posted link: “At any time in the last nine months they could have had a diplomatic settlement with Russia”.

Lot’s of confirmations out there, e.g. “A recent piece in Foreign Affairs revealed that Kyiv and Moscow may have had a tentative deal to end the war all the way back in April.” https://responsiblestatecraft.org

Why were the talks scuttled? TO BLEED RUSSIA to the last Ukrainian.

        1. Here we go again. The bullshit about peace with the horde. Siberians invade Ukraine, want all of it. Yes all. They shown maps with all of Ukraine and even Moldova under siberian occupation (yes. I know you want us to forget about it). They expect an easy victory. Get their teeth knocked out. And now you expect Ukraine to agree to temporarily peace, until the Siberian Mongols rebuild and are strong enough to invade again and finish Ukraine off? And that after the genocide that Siberians have perpetrated? FOAD.

          1. Project much?
Rich coming from the resident self-avowed genocidal racist calling for the ethnic cleansing of ethnic Russians resident in the Ukraine.

          2. What I said are facts. Sending remnants of occupation back to the shithole they leaked from is not ethnic cleansing. They have been repeatedly offered to join civilization. Instead they have chosen to collaborate with the occupiers. FETE.

    1. And all it cost to save the planet was every American womyn, man and child paying a mere $1,100!

  2. In yesterday’s Readers Tips, I let fly the possibility that a military coup might be taking place to remove the wondrous Xi Jinping. Apologies, since the internet-based rumour is false:
    https://www.news18.com/news/world/rumour-has-it-how-claims-of-a-coup-in-china-and-xi-jinping-being-ousted-went-viral-on-social-media-6033859.html

On the face it, based on his brain-dead policies (zero China flu, the housing bubble, moronic fiscal and monetary policies, return to Communist principles ), Xi Jinping has earned an immediate retirement. Thus the case gor z coup in China. But the world is probably better off with the great one nlundering onwards.

    1. Awk! Bad editing in last two sentences. “gor z”=”for a” ; “nlundering” = “blundering”. Sorry.

    1. About those pictures of the killers that the RCMP were using, why weren’t they updated when both of them had outstanding warrants?
The cops seem to love monitoring social media, why didn’t they include some updated social media pictures of the two in their databases?

“On Saturday at 4:30 a.m., she says she called 911 to report Myles and Damien.”
An RCMP car showed up and asked her where the brothers might be. She told them that he was hiding, to look around the territory. The RCMP soon located her car at a friend’s address. Members searched the house and returned her car keys, but they found no sign of Damien or Myles. Skye says she pleaded and begged for them to look harder, but she says they didn’t.

Later, Samara gave Damien and Myles a ride to pick up more alcohol. Damien told her that, when confronted by police inside the house, he gave RCMP his cousin’s name. The picture on his arrest warrant was outdated — he’d gained a lot of weight since then”

      1. Stan

The RCMP is too busy monitoring bouncy castles, and people opposed to Trudeau, to investigate and arrest people who commit actual crimes like murder, assault, theft etc.

  3. I love this article by Forbes. It is classic left-wing hyperbole unedited.

    https://www.forbes.com/sites/nicholasreimann/2022/09/24/7-reasons-italys-likely-hard-right-government-has-observers-worried/?sh=787104ce5746

    Maybe the best line…

“Observers note that Italian elections in the past have often served as a bellwether for broader trends across Europe, with the most notorious example being the rise of Italian fascists in the 1920s ahead of Nazis winning power in Germany a decade later. A win for the hard-right coalition would also come just over a week after right-wing nationalists won power in Sweden.”

First, the first sentence (Italian fascists, blah blah, Hitler) doesn’t even match the second sentence (right-wing nationalists in Sweden just won an election).

But the main thing is right-wing voting leads to Hitler. Under the 7 reasons why “Observers” are worried there isn’t one mention of the economy. Nothing about energy security. Or food production. And who are these “observers” anyway? They are “Western Observers” naturally, a mythical race of caring, superior creatures who are looking out for Planet Earth.

    1. Standard fare in Alberta and people in Toronto are only a little bit stupider. Actually the interchange in South Edmonton was one of Rube Goldberg’s last designs based on the earlier work of Maurits Cornelis Escher. It cost $250 million twenty years ago and comes equipped with 18 bridges and a built in time portal.

  4. You can go directly to the leftwing rag, Ottawa Citizen, if you want, but I got it here:
    https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/i-m-decided-a-month-out-from-election-day-ottawa-voters-queue-up-to-cast-their-ballots/ar-AA12cXiO?ocid=hponeservicefeed&cvid=a8c6916ccbb949dfb09898c5f735efab

“Regardless of address, Ottawa residents can cast ballots at any one of nine locations across the city daily until Tuesday, Sept. 27, between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. They’re encouraged to bring their voter notification letters, if received, but it’s not essential. Bring a piece of identification with your name and address — no need for a photo — but, if you don’t have one, you can make a statutory declaration before being issued a ballot.”

Excluding if you just lost it, if you don’t have ID, you’re too fckn stupid & useless to vote.
But this is Frozenturdistan and we cater to fckn stupid & useless when we don’t actually vote for them.

  5. A woman firefighter moves to Afghanistan [for 5 years] to learn about Muslim culture, spends a year in Saudi Arabia, then produces a [well researched] documentary “Jihad Rehab” on the rehabilitation of terrorists. And the left loves it, until they don’t.

    https://dnyuz.com/2022/09/25/sundance-liked-her-documentary-on-terrorism-until-muslim-critics-didnt/

    It went something like this…

    Initially…

“The absence of absolutes is what’s most enriching,” The Guardian stated, adding, “This is a movie for intelligent people looking to have their preconceived notions challenged.” Variety wrote: The film “feels like a miracle and an interrogative act of defiance.”

“Abigail Disney, a grandniece of Walt Disney, had been the executive director of “Jihad Rehab” and called it “freaking brilliant” in an email”.

“Sundance announced in December that it had selected “Jihad Rehab” for its 2022 festival, held the following month.”

    Then, from out of nowhere…

    “Critics erupted.”

“An entirely white team behind a film about Yemeni and South Arabian men,” the filmmaker Violeta Ayala wrote in a tweet. Ms. Smaker’s film had a Yemeni-American executive producer and a Saudi co-producer. More than 230 filmmakers signed a letter denouncing the documentary.”

    And now she’s broke.

    1. Climate change science fiction stories are the best paid fiction stories a writer can imagine.

I would do it but climate change ate my homework…
