Apologies for being out of touch but this is definitely interesting. Now watch Trudeau’s bought-and-paid-for media apparatchiks earn their pay-cheques as they spend ever waking minute trying to destroy him.

  4. Poilievre’s wife is of Venezuelan descent.  Venezuela is politically aligned with Cuba.  Cuba was an ally of the Soviet Union.  Anonymous sources have leaked that Russian infiltration into his inner circle is being investigated.
  5. While other teenagers were helping the poor, 16 year old Pierre was selling Reform Party memberships for Jason Kenney.
  6. Poilievre’s constant use of the “F” word (freedom) is a known dog whistle to white supremacist Nazi sympathizers who want to overthrow the Canadian government.
  7. Does Canada’s populist version of Donald Trump want to destroy the fabric of Canadian Society?
  8. Rumours are abound that Poilievre wants to get rid of the CBC, further proof that he doesn’t want the Canadian people hearing The Truth™.

    1. CBC needs to be dismantled, not just defunded. Sell off all assets to multiple buyers so is cannot be simply refunded. Tear the building down if need be.

    2. A smarter move is to first tear down the vast web of CanCon and other regulations enforced by the CRTC. Tear down the CRTC as we know it, and the CBC will be easier to end.

      1. EM – Charest won all 8 of the ridings Pierre didn’t win. One of the Ontario ridings he won was downtown Ottawa where the truckers demonstrated. Funny enough.
        The commentators on CBC, including Andrew Coyne, were very complementary to Pierre and his wife ( called her his secret weapon). Said he was a very good speaker in French, and unlike past candidates, also in English. They then noted that public speaking was a weakness of Trudeau.

        1. Downtown Ottawa has gone bat-sh*t-shirts crazy over the Freedom Convoy. Even though many in Ottawa supported the truckers, there’s a contingent of people who seem unable to move on. Next week there are public hearings so we can hear people’s ” stories” ( like maybe they had to take a different route to work or something. ) They seem to think their “suffering” was on a scale of the Rwandan genocide or something. And this is after the city auditor has held similar hearings. It is very self- indulgent and counter productive.

  9. A common criticism of Pollivere is his willingness to meet with the Convoy participants. I think Liberals are short sighted to try to use this as a wedge. Many, many Canadians have sympathy for the trucker cause. It makes Liberals look like the dividers by dismissing concerns of a lot of ordinary Canadians.

Watched the leadership convention and was appalled at the music selected for the intermission period before the announcement but on reconsideration the selections may have been appropriate. “You’ll Never Walk Alone” and “Abide With Me” could indicate the passing of a Conservative Party that had lost its way in the political spectrum. Perhaps Poilievre can resurrect the true foundations of conservativism, as espoused by his wife, in a Canadian society. We again live in Hope, and trust that this new conservative leader can attain power in the near future which will negate all that the Liberals have bestowed on us and future generations.

  16. Before PP won I was 100% certain I was voting for Max and the Peoples Party.

    It would now be 50-50, but, if PP backtracks and tries to please his enemies without making them his friends, it’ll Max again.

    The most important issues are for him to defund the CBC, get rid of the payouts to private media, and to stand up to the suicidal deconstruction of our energy base.

    1. We, (my ‘supervisor’/wife & I), joined the Cons simply to vote for PP, (with Leslyn as second choice). One of the countless e-mails received from all candidates came from Charest’s bunch asking where we would rate him…..I replied to the effect that, out of six options, I’d likely rate him 10,000th.

    One who calls himself a fiscal conservative (consider that more people voted for a washed-up Quebec Liberal rather than a black social conservative and then tell me that Canada is worth all of this trouble) fails to deliver for one reason or another. We end up disappointed and look for the next best thing to remove the idiot-boy and his Chinese financiers.

    I think that this country is beyond hope. Even if Justin were turfed tomorrow, we still have people who are fine with killing off the elderly to save some bucks, who wear masks while driving alone in their pious eco-mobiles and don’t get that printing money is a bad idea. They will vote for the Liberals again and again because they are too stupid and weak to do otherwise.
