  1. Yes.
Much unlike the cop lot that supervised that Chinaman on the Northern Ontario Greyhound bus a while back.
They watched as he hacked off the native kids head and ate his eyeballs and liver among other disgustingly vile things.
When they should have went all ” Gauntlet ” and filled that bus full of lead.

Should have switched out those for the above and the outcomes would have been justified.

    1. ‘Filling that bus full of lead’ would have ensured that anyone else in the bus would have died. It should only take one shot. Think

      1. There was no one in that bus when the cannibal started his feast.
Everyone fled beforehand and the cops waited him out over 10 hours.
Read the facts first before spouting off.

        1. Yes, hence why I said ‘if’. There’s also the dangers of ricochets, and bullets going who knows where given the kind of terrible shot your typical cop is. It should be one and done.

          1. In the intervening 10 hours, a sniper could have been brought in.
But that’s not what the cops wanted.
The shrinks wanted him for experiments, see what makes him tick.
Point was, if the OPP can ice a man with his kid, ricochets be damned, then this lot could have ended that ghoul with minimal blowback.
The bus was out in the middle of Trans Canada 1 , the middle of nowhere with minimal structures around, easy target practice.
I am sure that everyone involved would have secretly gone yes and not shed a tear over that f*ck.

Maybe a moose would have been hit or a spotted owl.

          2. If you have an hour to bring in an accomplished marksman with appropriate firearm and plenty of time to line up a shot. There would be a 99.9% chance of successfully taking out the nutcase and saving the victim. You are obviously correct about cop firearm incompetence, unfortunately.

          3. Given the bus was on the TransCanada and all the other passengers had evacuated, they could have fled to the nearby field before the RCMP entered the bus. Remember, the cannibal was unarmed except for a knife; a couple of reasonably brave cops could have stormed up the front steps of the bus and at least kept his victim from being mutilated.

      2. You think cops can shoot straight, Unbrain? They get range time once a year when they “qualify.” I’ve seen an 11 year old girl shoot better.

The average cop can’t hit a barn from the inside. And then they give these plods -rifles-. Spray-and-pray is how they handle all shootings. Just read a few news reports on the number of rounds fired, usually not less than five rounds per officer. Often they empty the mag.

        You feel safe now?

        1. You are completely right of course, and no I don’t feel safe. Maybe we conquered crime in the ’90s by hiring the criminals as cops.

  2. Useless pricks – no way that child should have been shot – now the pathetic OPP finds itself defending their murder of an 18 month old boy – only reference needed is the Cumberland Murders – watch for promotions.

Will Ottawa send horses to stomp their graves?

  3. You never see real criminals, pro’s, Mafia get shot by cops. It’s business, that’s what lawyers are for.

At the other end you have the sub 80 IQ, the brain cooked, emotional.
Can’t blame blue collar cops that are now societies garbage clean up. The professional elites argue in their towers about medication, daddy hugs…on and on.
Cops got to deal with the hot mess. Anytime, anywhere, situation unknown and dynamic.
    I’d mag dump too.
That “Father” murdered his kid. He could of amped up the drama movie in his mind and head on into a school bus. If he couldn’t have his son, no one can have their kids. Make them feel( it’s always feelings) his pain.

    1. “He could of amped up the drama movie in his mind and head on into a school bus. ”
      – that’s the kind of appeal to emotion speculation that one would expect from CTV, Global and the CBC to justify a cop shooting a toddler.

    2. “That “Father” murdered his kid.”

The kid died with several OPP bullets in him. When you fire a gun, -you- are responsible for where that bullet goes. Therefore I have to question your logic here, sir.

It’s all moot of course, the officers will waltz out with nothing but a reprimand, if that.

    1. Serving warrants in the middle of the night cause too many executions for trivial crime. The reactions of someone waking up are too unpredictable. Dead kid but his parents will likely be at least $10 million richer.

    2. How many arrest have you done on weapon possession warrents?

      I saw that. Meh.

      You do it. ( You won’t. )

Me. Decades ago. Hunting deer Ft. Bragg, NC. Beautifully fall day. Sit down against a tree. I say, hey, across the field in the woodline( 600m ) deer!

Moving through the woods, along with the wood field line,in and out of dark shade, sunlight opening.

Partner looks, says it’s a car.

I look and it is a car. Moving along a road.

You see what you are gearing up to see. Your mind is looking for bits of info it can process into a near match. Near enough.

Dirt simple to artists, and camouflage users.

Cops are geared, trained to look for guns. It’s kind of important to their brain stem survival code. ( Not that you would know )

The wanna be gangster life is a rough life. No cop is going to increase their risk acting all Mother Teresa and taking one.

Those are the rules. Him or me. Every cop says to themselves, me today.

You do it. You be the saint. They’ll name a crappy park where the needles litter and bums crap.

      1. “Those are the rules. Him or me. Every cop says to themselves, me today.”
Yeah, that’s a good reason to shoot toddlers, and Rodger Kotanko.

      2. So, its okay then if the odd civilian gets a lead shower, right?

Dynamic entry tactics and that tough-guy attitude have gotten a lot of people killed since SWAT was started. Maybe it would be nice if cops got trained to AIM instead of empty the high-cap mag of their Glock in the general direction of some guy they think -might- have a gun. People default to their training under stress. Cops who keep getting into these 20-30 round spray-and-pray events are trained wrong. Plain and simple.

Just switching back to revolvers would be a good start. When a cop has 15 rounds, he will use 15 rounds. If he only has six, he’ll have to use his brain.

Because if you think the cop life is hard now with the low IQ gang-bangers, just wait until you lose the support of the civilians and the Normies start coming after you. That’s where this escalation is heading.

        1. Just switching back to revolvers would be a good start

I may be misremembering, but my recollection is that the whole reason they had revolvers in the first place was that 1) in the event of a jam or misfire the officer can just work the action, rotate the cylinder and still use his weapon, and 2) if an officer needs more than six shots the situation has escalated to the point where he should withdraw and wait for backup anyway.

I don’t know what changed (Patriot Act? Better reliability of autoloaders?) but the militarization of the police is a profound problem.

          1. Great movie, A Tree Grows In Brooklyn.
Setting? 1890’s NY City slum. One of the characters is a NY City cop. No gun. Just a baton.
Little to no welfare. Cold water, walk up flats.

How did in a age of no ID, no fingerprints, no cross state warrants did Cops only have a “billy club”

Are today’s cops the disease, or the symptom?

Pro tip. It’s not the cops.

      3. “Every cop says to themselves, me today.”

Then every cop is unfit for the job. A cop with this attitude is a bigger threat to the populace than any criminal.

Besides cops are low IQ thugs at hart, to begin with. There is no drama, there is no danger, stop pretending that they are special or that their job is particularly dangerous. There are many much more dangerous occupations and one chooses the job they want to work at (although cops are typically unqualified for other jobs). they’re cops because they’re thugs. They love to harass and fulfill their high school bully fantasists. That’s why JBTs routinely escalate and look at tiniest excuses to brutalize.

        1. Then cough up the cash and hire 110 IQ Jordan Petersons.

I’d say you’ll have to start them at $300/k.

Being educated, smart, top ten % people skills, dealing with the dregs, yould have to kick them up to $400k after three years, or they’ll have enough stories for a life time and quit.

You won’t do that. You’re to cheap too broke.

As Milton Friedman said. “Where you going to get your Saints and Angels.”

          1. Jordan Peterson has an IQ well above 110.

What needs to change is ROE. This can be achieved with currently employed JBTs, it is not like they have massive outside opportunities except for sex trade. Also mandatory cameras, mandatory requirement to cooperate with reformed SIU. Severe limits on qualified immunity.

  4. So, the guy allegedly was pointing a gun at his own head, while successfully evading the popo. What kind of gun? Was it loaded? Did he ever point it at the cops? Enquiring minds want to know.

  5. and thee idiots who have NEVER pointed a gun at another person, and had to make a choice, weigh in with their stupidity. Were is the COLON on this, we have the alla unDork weighing in with it’s lack of knowledge
Some people never learn life’s lesson on when to STFU!

    1. Sorry Gym, three cops aired-out a truck and killed a baby. This is what they call an un-forced error in baseball. This is down to bad training, bad leadership and as we see with you and Paul C, a really bad attitude.

You don’t like taking the risk? Don’t take the money.

      1. fantom
I don’t know what actually transpired, and you don’t either, and news articles are vague at best, and usually politically slanted.
So I can’t state with certainty what happened in this case, and neither can any one posting in here, once you process that fact, you may just learn to remain silent I had 2 ETF shooters (extra tuff fuzz) as customers when I had my own business, and talking to them gave me some insite to what they face some times!

  6. Defending a cop who does this sort of thing boils down to “I’m also a coward, and would definitly dump my mag into a vehichle with a toddler in it if I were in a similar situation. I would not back off, follow the suspect and call in a negotiator, just dump my mag and kill a baby.” No wonder abortion and MAID are so popular in Canada.

  7. Then factor in that it’s Canada.

    Affirmative Action Canada.

The police, like the rest of the country, have standards based on embracing diversity, regardless of cost.

    Liberal Communism will kill you.

  8. They did it because they knew they could and that they will be protected by the system. That is all. SIU is toothless at best and complicit at worst. Qualified immunity takes care of the rest.

    1. I briefly dated the daughter of the head of the SIU a few years ago. I understand parenting ability =/= policing ability, but goddamn she was an alcoholic train wreck. We broke up when I found out she was hooking on the side.

    2. The guy shot at the cops. One was hit. The father killed the child through his actions. He is the only one to blame here.
You by the way are a useless coward who has never been shot at or attacked violently.
You are also a racist and bigot so your comments are irrelevant.
      Directed to colonoscopy.

      1. ^^^^ That’s nice. I wonder if our unbiased moderator will consider this an “inappropriate comment”.
