1. Thanks Kate, first time I’ve seen a presentation from Dr Finkel. Very enjoyable.

2. Some years ago the ROM had a travelling exhibit of Mesopotamian artifacts, mostly reproductions but a few original pieces. Despite having minored in this stuff, it was the first time I’d seen the real thing up close.

   What you don’t get from these videos is how small these tablets are! Most of them are the size of your palm. We’re not talking about the Ten Commandments tablets here, they would easily fit in your pocket. The script is likewise tiny.
