    1. Congratulations on taking a city that was almost totally surrounded for 100+ days! One that has another city nearby that is easier to defend. Don’t forget the extremely high cost. How many Kadyrovites died? How many Russian forces were pinned down? How many Russian forces were captured by the superior western infantry?

Pyrrhic victory if I ever saw one.

        1. At what cost? Ukrainennow has 100s of POWs from the Severodonetsk operation. HIMARs can shoot up to 2000 rockets a day that are accurate to 1m. This might be the high water mark for Russia in the east.

          1. HIMARS will fall into Russian hands before it does any significant damage, just like all the rest of the advanced weaponry that NATO has sent.

          2. So I guess you don’t understand the phrase “standoff range”

Far more Russian kit has ended up in Ukrainian hands than the other way around.

          3. “Far more Russian kit has ended up in Ukrainian hands than the other way around.”

Indeed, field rations, MREs for the starving Ukrain troops.

          4. Nah they won’t touch that junk that expired before the Russian Federation even existed.

          5. MREs? LOL, Siberians have been caught eating dogs on multiple occasions. They can only dream of MREs.

      1. Apparently a plane full of Russian officers was shot down over thr Donbas today. Hopefully it’s true.

        1. Funny how almost every tale of Ukraine victory is contradicted a few weeks later by the reality of the situation.
Ghost of Kiev, Snake Island, Mariupol, etc now you have the goat of Kiev killing “orcs” as you lot call them.
You talk of “evacuation of soldiers” when the reality is that they are prisoners in DPR and Russia. The Russians have not hundreds, but thousands of prisoners!
It wasn’t a strategic retreat from Severodonesk, it was a rout, a massacre. Eighty percent losses.
I’m not sure if you’re trolling, a puppet of the MIC, or just entirely ignorant of the world outside your little fake news bubble!
You and your “fight Russia to the last Ukrainian” buddies are far too cowardly to fight, you won’t even use your real name here, that’s how wide the stripe up your back is
You remind me of a certain mustached fellow in his bunker fighting the war with his imaginary battalions and his super weapons that were going to change the war.
I told you trolls, once before.
Russia isn’t losing. Individual combat wins, although heartbreaking or heartening to either side, by themselves do not determine the overall outcome of battles or of wars.
Russia is grinding down Ukraine steadily and surely. They will stop when they accomplish their goals. The territory they capture and occupy will, from now until forever be considered as Russia. If Poland gets involved it may end up with Poland returning to it’s nineteen seventeen borders.
The West started this eight years ago. Russia will finish it, slowly, but surely, incremental advances means someone is losing.
The EU now finds itself in a state of panic. They sanctioned themselves into a food and energy crisis which they hope to solve by shutting off the heat next winter in people’s apartments, that’s a very high percentage of the population going cold. Plus cold showers are recommended to save energy while the Europeans import clean environmentally friendly coal from South Africa.
And about those miracle weapons, it does seem as if Europe is running out as many countries are now clamoring for weapons to replace those given to Ukraine and destroyed by Russia. Seems none of the geniuses running the west ever thought about artillery as a weapon of war, preferring to invest in miracle weapons.
The MIC loves suckers who think that way as there’s much more grift and profit to be made!.
Fools are easily impressed with fancy toys, not realizing how expensive they are and how quickly the billions of dollars get used up.
BTW in case you didn’t know, n a z i s getting offed doesn’t bother me in the least.
Russia is doing the world a favor.

          1. Snake Island? You mean the place that was hit again today? BTW Ukraine never tried landing there. That was Russian propaganda. Their “proof” was a picture of a dead Ukrainian soldier without identification. He was wearing a Russian sailor belt too. I’m convinced.

Ghost of Kyiv? Nothing more than social media rumor. Some outlets picked it up.

Meanwhile Russia pushes propaganda like “8 year genocide in the Donbas” “Ukraine needed to be denazified” etc.. If you really want to compare the Ghost of Kyiv to that, go right ahead.

A rout that took 100+ days?

Thr reality is, nobody is winning in Ukraine. Neither side have achieved their objectives. But Russia as of right now has control of a lot less area than they did in the middle of March. Russian soldiers are fighting for Putins ego, Ukrainiansnare fighting for their homeland.

The west didn’t start f*ck all 8 years ago you idiot. You cannit be this stupid. Look up the name Igor Strelkov/Igor Girkin. I bet you think Ukraine shot down MH17 too even though Russians immediately took credit.

Russia certainly is doing the world a favor. They’ve exposed who they really are. Finland and Sweden will join a galvanized NATO. 65% of the worlds GDP has sanctions against Russia.

Putin can end it all with a suicide, 3 bullets to the back of his head.

    1. When hacks are routinely sent up the river and their rags put out of business for telling smaller fibs than they told about Justice Thomas, then it might be safe for Thomas to retire.

In a sane world, Thomas would be universally regarded as a hero for pointing out that the US Constitution does not protect the right of perverts to groom children for rape, or of whores and adulteresses to kill babies.

  1. While the Basic Dick Turdhole was running away from yet another scandal “crying” for the cameras over an American Court ruling and then casually laundering 250 million taxpayer dollars through the Government of Rwanda the city of Vancouver continues into the abyss of its sad and deliberate Globalist decline.

    1. When I was at UBC more than 40 years ago, I was driving around one night and ended up in Gastown. It looked clean and orderly, though it still conveyed a sense of creepiness.

I shudder to think what things in that part of town are like now.

      1. BADR, your instincts do you credit.
In the 1990s, Gastown was a pretty, touristy facade laid over a foundation of drug addiction and prostitution, with it’s nice steam clock and shops, until you stepped into an alley, full of discarded syringes.

        1. “…until you stepped into an alley, full of discarded syringes.”

Which is where you made your living.

    2. I came of age in the mid-1960’s. Even then, our father said that most of Vancouver was “less than special” because the climate allowed drunks, addicts and people with mental issues to live on the streets. In the 1960’s, it was bitter cold in Edmonton during the winter months and summer was not so “hot”(pun intended) either.

    3. The Downtown Eastside has been a sht hole for as long as I remember. As a kid in the early 70s, my uncle would take us to his flag shop business, that overlooked Victory Square. From there, we would overlook the bums and hippies, on their daily staggering routines.
I remember another particular incident, where a drunken older native fella, smelling of vanilla, garbled something unintelligible at me, just outside the door of the building.
At that time, there were still some signs of normalcy there, but the Woodwards, and Army and Navy has been closed for years, along with the neighbouring businesses, due to the ROT.
Many mayors have come and gone, all promising to do something.
Anything but enforcing laws, and the problems keep getting worse each year. Now the tactic is government supplied “clean” drugs to the junkies.
Yeah, that will work real well, guaraneffinteed!

Any politician that says they have a solution is full of bovine excrement, from the current Commie moonbat, Kennedy Stewart, former NDP MP, to Mayor Moonbeam, Comrade Gregor of Tides fame, that PROMISED to end homelessness, as his greatest virtue.
      All liars and hucksters.
My FIL suggests that a large dump truck be loaded with the finest China White, Meth and fentanyl, dumped at Main and Hastings, to solve the problem. That’s an interesting idea!

        1. And?
Coincidently, Havana to Miami distance is 238 miles.
          And? Still Irrelevant.
None was putting NATO missiles in Ukraine.

If US can tolerate a hostile communist government in Cuba then Siberian subhumans can tolerate a civilized government in Ukraine. But that is a stupid artificial meme level of analyses anyway. Just pointing out that even in your stupid you are pathetically logically inconsistent.

    1. What a trash article. I wonder how much thebKremlin paid them to write it? By far the largest reason is to “answer the Ukraine question”. Putin wants to leave a legacy. It’s largely about ego.

    2. “In fact, there is significant evidence that Putin recognized Ukraine as an independent country. In his July 12, 2021, article about Russian-Ukrainian relations, which proponents of the conventional wisdom often point to as evidence of his imperial ambitions, he tells the Ukrainian people, “You want to establish a state of your own: you are welcome!””

Clearly Putin hasn’t paid attention to history.

    3. Another in the long series of stupid articles that regurgitate the same talking tired points.

Yet again Ukrainians have no agency. According to the morons manufacturing this bullshit no person between Germany and Pootinistan even had agency. They are all pawns. NATO expanded and apparently amalgamated them like Borg. At no point did those people made a mad rush for NATO because they understood the cancer that russia is, because from Finland to Georgia everyone has been brutalized by Siberian beasts. No, none of this matters, it was NATO that expanded and absorbed them like some an alien blob.

Yes again we learn that Pootin is naive yet genius. None in the civilized world entertains a notions of invading russia. None wants or desires it. Everyone knows that would be the end of the world. The only person who does not know that is apparently the evil genius Pootin. He alone is genuinely convinced that if russia’s neighbors carve their own path this will mean that NATO conquest of russia has begun.

And of course to protect russia, russia gets to invade another of her neighbors again. Because russia deserves protection, none else does.

Piece of s*it article, utterly worthless.

  2. Not A Justification But A Provocation.
Noam Chomsky On The Root Causes of the Ukraine War. The Fault is US Foreign Policy Going Back To Clinton. NATO really must be dismantled and the EU allowed to settle its own affairs.
Quit playing games. Canada needs to withdraw from NATO. We are bankrupted anyway. Our total military including all 3 services is smaller than the New York City Police Department. The EU has over 800M people and the 3 rd largest economy on earth let them figure out their own problems.
We have 36,000 miles of coast line on 3 Oceans and no Navy or Northern presence.

F the EU and the Ukraine and the USA on this issue.

  3. The Zerohedge post is revealing.
I had missed the fact Zelensky was elected promising to find a peaceful solution.
This ties in with the smell of this conflict, right from the start.

I had cynically posited that Putin and Zelensky had a deal, send the outright Nasties and open American stooges to their doom in the East, surrender the Russian speaking provinces to their own devices and then openly sue for peace.

    A win win for both.
For there will never be peace in the Ukraine while our progressive elites are allowed to “help”.
Every day that this conflict drags on,the hand of American interference is further exposed.

What is Canada’s interest in this mess?

How does any citizen of the USA benefit by destroying The Ukraine..fighting until the last Ukrainian is defeated?
    Better prices for western grain?
    Higher oil prices?

Who speaks for the “Ukrainian People”?
In a country that was even more divided that East West Canada, before the first shots were ever fired?

    1. It’s a myth that plays right into the Kremlins hands that Ukraine is divided east and west.

If it’s true, why is Russia bombing the shit out of the east?

      1. Russia is not bombing the shit out of the East, they are bombing the shit out of the Ukrainian army, and taking city after city.

        1. Russia doesn’t give a flying f*ck about what they bomb. How many UKR troops were in the civilian apartment block they hit in Kyiv today? It’s the Russian MO since ww2. Bomb the hell out of everything with artillery, send in troops. If that doesn’t work, repeat.

          1. Not too bright, are ya?
The Ukes are the ones using airstrikes, wrecking their own infrastructure. Artillery is considerably more precise than airstrikes. You may pedal your BS Soros propaganda to your heart’s content, but it won’t change the fact that Russia is taking city after city with essential infrastructure intact.

          2. Nobody believes you. Russian MLRS is the most indiscriminate and inaccurate system out there.

          3. Like HiHo says, “Not too bright, are ya?” and you still don’t get it. There were zero UKR troops in that building but there were 14 CIA agents operating out of it. It’s the CIA MO since thry were founded.

          4. “…but there were 14 CIA agents operating out of it.”

Suuuure they were. And Domebabies is your mother’s friends’ favorite sports team that they always cheer for.

        2. The only people who believe me are those familiar with how artillery works, a minority, I know, but facts are facts.

      1. Thus making Canadians streets safer for families with tots, veterans, bouncy-castle folk, truckers & little old ladies with walkers.

Add a good healthy gift dose of the Omega variant of la Grippe Chine for a certain quadtuple-vaxxed Turd and an already fine day would be nearly perfect…

      2. Well if the Russians should accidentally shoot down a certain someone’s plane in retaliation then it’s good job boys, now pack up and come home.

    1. It reminds me of a company I worked for 40 years ago.

It was in constant financial trouble during my time there. Things were so bad that we were told that we should hang on to the envelopes that came with any external mail so that they could be used for internal purposes. (My father wondered if we had to wash and hang up the toilet paper.)

A few months after I started there, everyone had a salary review. Despite its financial difficulties, one of my colleagues (who just happened to be chummy with the management in our division) got a 20% raise.

      Go figure.

    1. Good editing.
Hope the fabric doesn’t fall apart. I’ll take one in flannel for bedtime.

  4. Haw haw! Your latest gut-laff, courtesy of Reddit, Instapundit and some AntiFa SJW who’s just CERTAIN that “we have guns and they don’t”:

    https://notthebee.com/article/they-want-to-burn-down-the-defenseless-radical-christian-rural-areas-now-and-good-luck-with-that-boys

“The radical Christians are found in the rural areas. Their towns are defenseless, they have almost no cops and their firemen are volunteers. They have to borrow cops and firemen from neighboring jurisdictions miles away in order to handle anything big. And they think they’re safe out there. Forget burning cities, cities are on our sides. It’s time for rural areas to feel the heat.

You show up 100 deep in every rural town in a 50 mile radius intent on revolution, you’ll crash their system and make them pay.

And if you all think I’m kidding, I’m dead serious. This was caused by backward ass rural conservatives operating out of a Christianized worldview (even if theyre not Christian, they’re heavily influenced by it), they were the ones who voted for Trump in ’16; those disillusioned redneck/white trash/blue collar (to quote a country song) types who flipped massively for the GOP. Punish them. Punish their towns. They say “BLM burned the cities to the ground, ” I say “let them see firsthand what it’s like when a community is truly burned to the ground. They want a civil war? They should have been careful what they asked and voted for.”

I’m not the organizing type. But maybe someone who is can organize that. Start in a certain state in the Midwest often called “the south’s middle finger to America.” It’s literally what the south would’ve looked like if it wasn’t reconstructed.”

I’d pay to watch – but I bet it doesn’t happen. Maybe he should learn from Isoroku Yamamoto, who would not hear talk of invading the U.S. – “there’d be a rifle behind every blade of grass.” Guess why they don’t have cops OR gun-free zones, genius?

    1. The dumb is strong with progressives.

And here I thought ‘nasty’ was their defining character trait.

    2. “You show up 100 deep in every rural town… ”

Realize there are no charging hookups for you EVs and that the closest Starbucks and tofu restaurant is in the city you came from…. you hope the tow truck will arrive before dark.

      1. One of the comments on one of the threads was, “He misspelled more guns than every army in the world, combined.”

    1. A year or so ago, I sold my boyhood LEGO to a former neighbour, who wanted to have something for his grandkiddies to play with when they came to visit him. It looks like I sold it at the right time.

    1. Being a sports agnostic, I wasn’t paying attention. Then again, I’m old enough to remember when the NHL season ended in May.

      1. heh heh.
my interest was limited to googling the results of each game for a tenant.
