NY Post Editorial Board: It was a purely political hit job from the start, by top members of the highest law- enforcement agency in the land, against a candidate-and-then-president they opposed. For all the justified anger at Trump over the Jan. 6 riot, this methodical and effective deception plot looks far more like an attempted coup.
Justified anger at Trump? No. No. And no. The blame for the Great Walk-Through of January 6 (as opposed to Sit-In) can be laid at the feet of the DOJ, which did not investigate the indisputable, massive election fraud, and our cowardly and corrupt court system, which refused to review the evidence, and BIg Tech, who squelched the sharing of evidence in every way possible, and Big Media, which completely threw in with the Democrats by April 2016. Many Americans were furious that most legal means to redress grievances were blocked. Trump didn’t do a damn thing.
Yep, that’s what stood out to me in the quote as well. Have to virtue signal their NeverTrumpness so the Gestapo won’t come for them, I guess.

Yep – the only coup attempt in the US was by the FBI against the president.
