  1. There’s nothing in this country too ridiculous that the government won’t try it or inflict it upon us.

IF IT ONLY SAVES ONE LIFE

“The Liberal government will exempt the entire province of British Columbia
      from federal drug possession laws
, allowing users to have small quantities of
cocaine, opioids and methamphetamine without fear of criminal charges.”

      1. It’s going to be interesting to see how that works out. Drugs are criminal law. Criminal law is federal and thus national. We are all equal under the law, ergo the criminal code can’t be different in one province. Maybe they know this, but trying this sure makes them look stupid. It will be interesting to see what happens the first time someone in Ontario is up on a drug charge and their lawyer argues that what their client did was legal in BC so it has to be legal nation wide.

      2. I was going to mention this. Only in Canada can you legalize a ton of drugs that are deadly while putting burning taxpayers money (literally) putting stickers on the least deadly ones. Next up coffee will require ID but Fentanyl will likely be allowed in schools.

  2. As if the picture of herpes on the pack isn’t enough to dissuade you.. Lame.. What they need is filters with heat activated speakers built into them that nag you every time you take a puff..

Ban them already and turn it entirely over to the Natives.. Tobacco is after all part of their culture and I might add a major cash cow for them.. Are you up for that fight? I didn’t think so..

    1. Actually we should be suing them for inflicting the evils of tobacco on our ancestors who were told that smoking was part of the ritual of peace making. Actually equivilent to a sacrament. A good case could be made that this was done deliberately with malice afore thought. Then we could compare the number of graves near residential schools to the ones of those that died of tobacco related illnesses as a result of their intentional deception !

  3. In both official languages?

Maikeru had the same thought at the same moment.

OK, so what about the 666 first nation languages?

    1. Maybe it can be inscribed on each cartridge and shell we buy.
Being shot by a hood rat can be dangerous to your health.

  4. When the C19 numbers started coming in, I immediately thought about the ” propaganda around the smoking numbers ” and that smoking caused every disease in the medical books. They lied to the skies about that one also.

    1. Well …after all … tobacco was a native weed … used in the pipes of natives …

      Thank you mother turtle

  5. That’s fine. As long as lifetime politicians are forced to tattoo their policy statements on their bodies and they are forced to run for reelection nearly naked.

  6. Canada needs a warning label on the whole damn country. THIS PLACE IS HAZARDOUS TO YOUR HEALTH AND FREEDOM, in letters a mile high.

  7. It’s stupid, useless and asenine but we’re the first country to do it. And really, isn’t that what’s important?

  8. This is just about ruining something nice because the government hates the people who tend to do it.

    1. Worse.
Its about the gov’t using force against the citizens, for no other reason other than the fact that they can.

  9. All hail our co-parents!
Canadians love it when the state steps in to protect us from ourselves, whether its with seat-belt or helmet laws, tobacco laws and taxes, drug laws or insane gun control laws.
Not enough people stepped up and fought when they banned smoking in bars and restaurants, effectively turning the staff into unpaid state police.

    1. Back when people could smoke in restaurants, bars, trains and buses, and these places had ashtrays, there were less butts on the ground.

  10. True Dough must have picked up on that in California. California has cancer labels on everything.

  11. Just wait until justine adds the carbon tax to them. ” You have to pay for your pollution ” You will be able to eat, drink or smoke. You cannot do more than one under dear leaders plans.
