Occasionally there would be a riot on the last day of the Exhibition. There was generally a riot at Caribana, usually a small one. I’ve never heard of a riot at friggin’ Woodbine beach, the place is all families and kids, particularly for 24th of May fireworks. Sit on a blanket, oh and ah over the fireworks, go home.
So, how much has the Ontario justice system lost the plot in Toronto? All the way. They’re lost in space. You can’t even blame the cops for this, it is the courts and the management at City Hall.

Then there will be the angry people who want to stir up trouble. I was there…at around 11:30 I’m guessing. Was about to park my car on Queen near Pleasantville for the night. Saw waves of inebriated young people moving in one direction (East towards Woodbine) in groups of 10-15. Some moving fast .Sat and watched for ten minutes. Decided to park elsewhere. No Cops at all. Tonight I’ll be out on bike and able to survery the scene and move fast. Wondering what the crowd will be? It is colder right now.
Must have been White Supremacist Truckers causing all of this violence. Awaiting photos of those charged.
Thankfully there were no bouncy castles there, or things could have gotten really out of hand.
Too bad here in Canada they don t publish much statistics on crime per race as they do in the USA ( that is how we know that in Chicago, to give one example, over 90% of violent crimes are done by non-whites…)
