    I learned about this singer(?) from an article in the latest issue of Mensa Canada’s magazine. Oddly enough, she recorded several albums before, apparently, retiring.

      I first heard of The Shaggs from the book The Worst Rock n’ Roll Records of All Time (which was published about 30 years ago). Apparently Frank Zappa considered them to be “better” than the Beatles, but he was also known for having a distinctly off-the-wall sense of humour.

      1. BAD – I wasn’t sure they were singing in English until I heard the word “world” at some point. Thanks for the trigger warning.
        The women look a bit like Jennifer Coolidge, the older and chesty blonde lady on Two Broke Girls (speaking of worst of all time categories).

        1. One of the hilarious things about that song is that none of the “musicians” seem to be keeping time with each other. It’s as if they’re all playing different tunes.

          Look up their story. You couldn’t make it up if you tried.

      By the way, I saw her when she was in Edmonton in the mid-1990s and she was terrific. I also have the recording from which that track was taken.

    1. The Ford Trimotor was one of the first commercial airliners that was mass-produced. It also saw service with a number of different air forces and some were used by Admiral Richard Byrd during his Antarctic expeditions.

    1. Gold indeed. I am not fan of Musk, don’t like his abuse of eminent domain, hate the corporate welfare Tesla cancer, but he is right on the money here.

    2. roaddog – I don’t agree that Musk has stayed where he is on the left/right scale. He didn’t compare Trudeau to Hitler (without a budget) five years ago and he wasn’t talking about taking down a left wing media icon organization. However, maybe he was more conservative than we thought and wasn’t speaking out earlier. He has to watch that he doesn’t drive away half his Tesla buyers though.

      1. I can’t recall his past political positions or expressions; nonetheless I think it an appropriate visual of a migration of political thought that we observe with a LOT of liberals. Recall some prominent Democrats saying that marriage was “between and man and a woman” about 15 years ago.
        I suspect he may be more concerned about the value of Tesla’s stock than the actual performance of the enterprise, although one must consider that his recent rational statements may draw some conservatives to the brand.

        As for myself, I will never drive a sewing machine.

Half the people alive today will experience the Micro Nova of our Sun and the magnetic flip, that is if they survive the murderous depopulation rampage our governments are currently on in order to store as much food as possible after the planned starvations of the majority of us all. They want to Enslave us just to help them plan for their survival of the regular 12.000 year cataclysmic cycle of our Sun.

    It’s all connected…

    Once you view it in this sense it all starts making sense why they are murdering so many and care not that we all know.

But strangely silent about the annual Destroy Israel And The Jews demonstration, in diverse Toronto this weekend. I guess saying anything would be Islamophobic.

    2. Joe, human sacrifices are considered to be OK, if practiced by non-whites. There has been recent sociological/anthropological literature stating this is the case. /sat.

    The article is about CSIS, its powers and if it should share its intel with the cops and then how much. Jan.6 is mentioned as well as the Freedom Convoy.
    Coming soon: more bank accounts frozen because you wrote that Juthtin the Weirdeau doesn’t accept opposition, that he wants dissent criminalized and that the whole group, Liberals/Left/Prog/Commies are making conservative views – especially private property and self-defence advocates – flagged as far-right extremists…

      2. Wow , I haven’t seen that clip before.
        The colours and sharpness of the film is incredible.
        Not like the grainy celluloid crap we have been fed all these years.
        An interesting look at Germany just before the start of WW2.

        I wonder how much film is still buried away in vaults by our illustrious Victors never to see the light of day again by the Hoi Polloi.

    From the looks of things in the livestream the turnout may be poor. Maybe organizational prohlems; maybe intimidation by Big Media and police.

    Btw, two or three days ago I tried Googling the term “Rolling Thunder Ottawa web page”, but the web page link didn’t turn up. Only establishment media videos lambasting the pro-freedom side. Google is censoring the demonstrators.

    2. The stream was from just west of the St.Laurent shopping center along Coventry. The main crowd was downtown at the war memorial. It was a good turnout, and the bikers did make an appearance well north of the no-go zone. I will admit though that there weren’t nearly as many bikers as I’d hope there would be, but was what I came to expect.
      Too much fear tactics deployed by this wretched city, I suppose, was to some degree, successful.
