  1. A blast from the past a documentation of Paul Ehrlich’s book the population bomb viewed from a perspective some 40 years in the future. Ehrich spoke in the book of the need to reduce the elderly population and reduce the growth by compulsion if voluntary methods fail. Creating a blacklist of people, companies, and organizations impeding population control. Ehrich bemoaned the fact that at the time the bio medical discipline wasn’t able to ad a sterility drug to food or water to curb population growth. Am I the only one who think that Ehrich wildest dreams have oddly enough materialized with covid?

It’s from The New York Times but a blind chicken catches a worm from time to time.

  2. Can we get a Fenris Badwulf tag?

I remember he had some doozy of comments in some posts about 10-15 years ago.

  3. Remember how Sri Lanka went completely, totally Organic by Presidential Decree last year?
They basically just declared national bankruptcy. They need the IMF to bail them out.

“Faced with an unprecedented forex crisis, the government on Tuesday declared it was suspending interest and capital payments on its huge foreign debt.”

How could they have a Forex Crisis? Maybe their export crops were much lower after going organic? Maybe they needed more food imports too?

  4. I suggest going to Blazing Cat Fur and read or watch Dr. Vernon Coleman’s latest piece recapping what has gone on in the last couple of years. He is on target. It is a long video but a fairly quick read.

  5. On this Easter morning I note that the morale compass of the world has swung violently. One way to measure this is to consider the shock value of certain Alice Cooper songs. Today his most controversial song would not be Dead Babies, Sick Things, The Ballad of Dwight Fry (about a horror-film actor committed to an insane asylum) or even I Love the Dead (about necrophilia). No, today his most controversial song would be, trigger warning for the Woke at Berkeley and the trans speaker at the DSA, Only Women Bleed.

  6. “Richard Bernard Moore, 57, is the … first state prisoner to face the choice of execution methods after a law went into effect last year making electrocution the default and giving inmates the option to face three prison workers with rifles instead.”

He shot a store clerk with the store clerk’s gun when he tried to rob the place looking for money to support his cocaine addiction.

I’m on the fence whether this guy should even be on death row. But no great loss to civilization.

    1. The death penalty should be abolished.

A civilized State should never have the power to put it’s citizens to death.

On top of that fact add in the human element of a witness lying or later recanting, a judge or jury making a mistake.

I would rather live in a State where the prisons are full of convicted murderers than one where one innocent man was put to death. After all it could be you or me.

      1. I am the polar opposite.
        Old school biblical.
Examples need to be shown that there are consequences to ones foolish decisions.
There are some truly evil f**ks that do not deserve to breathe.
They need to be dealt with in a humane manner much like when we slaughter livestock.

I will take a chance on there being a few Innocents wrongly convicted but after the fact , if found out, the judicial need to pay the same cost for the error.

        Spare the rod…

  7. °☆ Hi, Guys…

I got up this morning and listened to Rose Clooney sing “Easter Parade”. There still are things worth celebrating.

“On the avenue, Fifth Avenue, the photographers will snap us,
And you’ll find that you’re in the rotogravure.”

      What’s not to like?

      Happy Easter

    2. Nancy, wishing you a happier day, today, tomorrow, and always.

I hear you. I no longer visit the interwebs, including SDA, as often as I used to. I remain in the world but am not of the world. I am much happier as a result.

      Happy Easter!

      1. @ O Kate…
And Happy Easter to you too!
        I’ve some songs…
        … Coming right up…
        … A pick us upper…
        O, how we need it…

        Stay tuned…

        1. Nancy, I will check them out. I was never an Emmylou fan until I watched “Country Music.” What a voice! And what a sweet woman. Thanks for sharing.

          1. You’re welcome! I like everything.

(At least classical music is always there for the music students and that is a good thing- it’s the gold standard)

Wishing you happier days, today, tomorrow, and always too, Kate. Thanks for your kind wishes. Summer is coming, always beautiful in Ontario. I have many friends and relatives all over the province.

            P.S.
Chose these songs for superior sound quality!

  8. Looks like the fascist Russian troops in Izyum could possibly become encircled. There also is some interesting flights going into Rzeszow Polamd these days. That’s the staging ground for the international effort to arm Ukraine.

Even the Russian TV pundits are getting frustrated. What’s the out for Putin? The propagandists are even calling it a war against NATO recently. That’s probably the play, drag NATO into Ukraine as an excuse for the losing effort.

Mariuopol still isn’t cleared of Ukrainian troops, but it could happen soon. Almost 2 months to take a city 50 km from the border. Pathetic.

    1. Such a huge writing, yet 0 search results for Holodomor. Also no mention of Ukrainian identity well before the Bolsheviks invaded. No mention of Stalins attempts to purge the Ukrainian language and assume the identity as Russian. The latter still persists today. No mention of millions of starving Ukrainians as the result of Stalin going after foreign currency by exporting grain to fuel his industrialization goals. That’s right, foreign currency is more important than the population starving. It was their Holocaust.

After going through that, anything looks better. Even the Nazis of the 30s.

Fast forward to today and the Kremlin line is that Ukraine democracy was hijacked by Ukrainian nazi extremists. Couldn’t be further from the truth.

    2. Ruskie agitprop.

The laughable Aryan Ukrainian. Your kidding? Right?

Allan S – points out no mention of the Holomodor….

      C’mon.
