      As I have mentioned yesterday, she was the only Black Sea asset with long range air defense capability. In theory she should be able to protect herself and the entire battle group from an air or missile attack. Nothing else in Black Sea Fleet inventory can do that. Everything else carries only short range SAMs for local defense. Their defenses just lost the entire thick outer layer. This is a huge loss. Without Slava any landing force are sitting ducks.
