Friday On Turtle Island

Poor Old Joe is not popular at certain news outlets.  Should Biden rule by executive order? Why not, Justin does it.  And Joe encourages children to change their sex.

While everyone is watching Ukraine, China is on the move.

Today in Islam.  University Muslim outreach.  And outreach to Israel.

Woke Britain.  Woke crosswalks are spooking police horses.  Glasgow apologizes because of slavery or something.  Meanwhile in Woke Finland.  Is Canada’s Environment Minister Hans Gruber in Britain?

I learned a new word today.  Petromasculinity

Everything on Turtle Island must be renamed. Canadian history must be purged of white colonialism.  Does the school in your area have a new Indian name, with every letter in the alphabet?

Your morning meme.

  1. OJ. every time I read through the items offered for perusal I am more convinced that there is a deep seated mass insanity gripping both the country and the world. We will not survive the idiocy.

  2. Can someone please explain what a “Turtle Island” is? I googled it and can’t seem to find a good answer. (Shrug emoji)

      1. And climate change is endangering those turtles upon which the world rests.

Hence the need for our (increased) carbon tax…

    1. It’s also a sarcastic reference to a whiney Indian program as seen on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network.

Each episode of This Is Turtle Island starts with Andy and Chuck in a location relevant to the topic of the episode. Episodes typically feature interviews with experts in certain scientific fields, along with “Tales from Turtle Island”, an animated segment retelling a First Nations legend, and a “Creature Feature” highlighting a specific animal. Save for the Tales from Turtle Island segments, Andy and Chuck narrate the entire show, with the camera turning back to them in between segments.

      1. What a drag, seems all day the CBC and CTV were covering the complaining and moaning of the feather-heads. Yes, I know that some bingo players were nasty pieces of work regarding the residential schools. I know I sound callous but FFS just let it go, all they want is another hand out, this time from the pope.

  3. Joe Biden – “I have your back”.

    Lie.

    Tell her the truth.
    Leave.
    Repeat elsewhere.

    1. Deconstructing “petroleum”.

“Petro” is the wrong end. It means “rock”.
So “petromasculinity” literally means “rock-hard male”. NTTAWWT.

“Oleum” is the correct end since it means “oil”.
So “Oleomasculinity” literally means “oily male”. E-u-u-u-c-c-h-h.

      You’re welcome.

  5. Women repulsed by petromasculinity will become the ultimate ice princesses, when the supply of natural gas runs out. Mating with a man who permits his family to freeze to death is virtuous.

  6. “A new survey with data culled from dating apps shows that for lots of people, climate denial is a dating no-no. Daters, it seems, just don’t want to go out with someone who is afflicted with petromasculinity. “

First off, sounds like an excellent screening tool. Immediately gets rids of the freaks, weirdos, fruit loops & whackos, Progs. Roll up on the Hawg, “Hi, my name is DB, and I’m petromasculine. How do you like me so far?” If they bail, you’ve lost nothing & are definitely ahead of the game. If they hang, load ’em up on the ol’ Milwaukee vibrator & head out. Win/win.

Second, precisely WTF is a “climate denier”? One who denies climate exists?

  7. sounds like an excellent screening tool

You don’t even have to go that far. My dating profiles had the phrase “I don’t care about your politics and you shouldn’t care about mine” and that was enough. Not being dogmatically ideological in every sphere of your life was enough to mark you as anathema to the loons.

    1. Mentioning that I was a conservative on those sites got me…… zippo, unless I count those who immediately tagged me as a “favourite”, which really meant “I want to charm you long enough so that I can empty out your bank account.”

  8. Glasgow apologises for slavery? What! If it wasn’t for slavery, they would be all still living in Africa.
