As for the great “rice” fracas, there are quite a few breweries in south-easr Asia turning out some fine beers made on rice feedstock, just as there are some fine brews made on wheat in more temperate climes.

Talking of flies and lies, I haven’t heard anything new from the Ukraine recently; two missiles strike gas and weapons depot in Lvov; people using the underground stations as shelters. Nothing else. Mind you, that’s been very sparse throughout. Oh yes, Bozo let the cat out of the bag in Poland.
It has gone on too long people are losing interest, time to get back to the whu who flu.
Beauties, indeed. As a kid growing up in Toronto, I loved going to the CNE every year to see the Carlsberg draft horses; they were the highlight of my day.
I am no beer snob; I LOVE beer, all kinds of beer. To me, beer is time, place, and food pairing. When I am at a baseball game on a hot Saturday afternoon in August, there is nothing better than an ice cold Budweiser or Michelob with my pretzels or popcorn. Craft beer is not refreshing. I also love a pint of Guinness with homemade gingerbread cake; it’s an awesome combination. Cheers!
Oops…I meant draught horses. Beer on the brain, I guess.
Arrrgh…never mind. Too much beer!
Yeah Clydesdales, one of the most powerfull draft horses ever bred, strength and gentleness. If the ‘intellectuals’ in charge keep up their assault on fossil fuels we are going to see a great resurrgence of draft horses in agricultural societies across America and Canada, not to mention the horses that will be required to replace local deliveries. Not that this would be a bad thing, I can’t imagine too many of todays teamsters learning how to handle a four, six, or eight team hitch. So yeah bring it on with your solar and wind power, lets bring back good old fashioned HORSEPOWER!!!!
If the Elites have their way ,It won’t be the horses or oxen pulling the plow, it’ll be YOU.
Kate; good on yer, youngster!
If I were a billionaire I would buy my way into horse racing and run a Clydesdale mounted by former Miss America pageant winners against the thoroughbreds.
That would be good for nothing but comedy as the Thoroughbreds would be around the track three times before the Clydesdale made it around once.
“lets bring back good old fashioned HORSEPOWER!!!!”
I love the horses and I admit I’m a sucker for those ads that feature the big horses but old timers will tell you horses like that were rarely seen in these parts. A smaller work horse was always used here on the Canadian Prairies where you needed horses that required less feed/hour worked. Economics.
The Dalmatian is supposed to run under the wagon while it is in motion, like the old days. See “Meet Me in St Louis” for an example
Gorgeous horses. Beer’s crap.
That’s where the “beer” comes from. The horses.
Are the horses tails’ bobbed? That’s cruel! 🙁
Common on draft horses. Better than getting tangled in chains or reins
How do the the horses keep the flies away?
Insecticide
They’re fed budweiser of course.
No, they’re likely just wrapped. Horse’s tails are not bobbed these days because it is indeed cruel.
After a quick search it appears I’m wrong, some people apparently still do this. I though it had gone the way of the dodo.
Best beer in the world Love the horses. Craft beer wish they had a brand like that.
Please don’t tell me you’re serious.
Well over 40 years in on Budweiser can’t stop now.Horses are great no matter what you drink.
Try to find the original ‘Bud”: Budvar from the Czech Republic. Nice brew. https://budejovicky-budvar.com/brewery/
