Speaker of the House- The House of Commons will not sit today, Friday, February 18. A police operation is expected in the downtown core of Ottawa. Given these exceptional circumstances, and following discussion with all recognized party leadership, the sitting today is cancelled.
The Canadian Parliament’s sitting has been cancelled today — a day where MPs would have been able to challenge Trudeau’s use of the Emergencies Act — using the police operation against the protesters as justification. They are basically saying the implementation of the Emergencies Act has created a situation where it is too dangerous to debate the Emergencies Act.
Meanwhile… And… the obsolete media gets a snow day.

Update: Looking around the intergoogle this morning things are carrying on in Ottawa much like they have the past couple of weeks. Yes there’s a greater police presence, and checkpoints to get into the area, and they’re making some arrests. But the party and the protest continues.
Update 2: Police have gotten more aggressive. Standoffs with protesters in a number of locations. Police horses have been brought in.
Trudeau is tweeting about the Olympics.
So the so called conservative party didn’t show up for work so Trudy could arrest peaceful protesters sans any opposition, you must be so proud Candice so proud of your party’s cowardice. Pound your chest all you want Conservatives you are as vile as the Liberal NDP communist parties. I can’t stand Max but his party will get my vote next time. Got No guts Got no glory seems to be the conservative party’s motto.
No poin in wide ranging emotions from this crackdown, the convoy achieved much more than anyone would have imagined. Now LEARN from this as to who we are dealing with. They have exposed themselves as to the lengths and capabilities, which are limitless. Trudeau will take everything from you and just dismiss you as though you deserved this. It’s abundantly clear now.
