Stunning and Brave

Into The Heart of Darkness

Speaker of the House- The House of Commons will not sit today, Friday, February 18. A police operation is expected in the downtown core of Ottawa. Given these exceptional circumstances, and following discussion with all recognized party leadership, the sitting today is cancelled.

Anthony Furey;

The Canadian Parliament’s sitting has been cancelled today — a day where MPs would have been able to challenge Trudeau’s use of the Emergencies Act — using the police operation against the protesters as justification. They are basically saying the implementation of the Emergencies Act has created a situation where it is too dangerous to debate the Emergencies Act.

Meanwhile…      And… the obsolete media gets a snow day.

*Brain Peckford – When Ottawa Police Checkpoints ask why you’re going into Ottawa? “Because I’m a Canadian.”

Update: Looking around the intergoogle this morning things are carrying on in Ottawa much like they have the past couple of weeks. Yes there’s a greater police presence, and checkpoints to get into the area, and they’re making some arrests. But the party and the protest continues.

Update 2: Police have gotten more aggressive. Standoffs with protesters in a number of locations. Police horses have been brought in.

Trudeau is tweeting about the Olympics.

  1. The vast, vast majority of Canadians are dumb and cowardly.

    Trudeau is a scumbag.

    The Media are scumbags.

    Going Galt.

    1. Well, if it was going to be found out to be illegal and unenforceable, it’s still in effect until the seven day expiration date.

    2. See through this honk.

Translate the Speakers message from Liberalese … Trudeau does not have the votes.

      1. Keep piling on the dippers, and remember to compliment the three Libranos who have voiced dissent of tureaus over-reach.

    3. You are absolutely correct. The vast majority of Canadians (with the exception of the truckers and their supporters) are snivelling pathetic lazy unionized cowardly commies. I know because my whole family in Ontario are exactly this. Canada desperately needs to crash and burn and bring it’s Ruling Class with it. A new Republic with ELECTED reps needs to rise in it’s place.

  2. I found this quote, which seems apropos:

“The man who is most aggressive in teaching tolerance is the most intolerant of all: he wants a world full of people too timid and ashamed to really disagree with anything.”

    ― Criss Jami, Killosophy

    1. Or this one

“In every stage of these oppressions we have petitioned for redress in the most humble terms. Our repeated petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.”

  3. Turdo used COVID before to pull this crap. Now he’s using the convoy. I wonder how long it will before the Conservatives find themselves on the list of extremists who need to be eliminated. Given the language in Parliament that’s coming.

One of our locals is a refugee from China. He has been responding to all questions like “How are you?” with “I am living in China again.”

    1. Lame-etty already let slip who they want target as “Trump supporters”.

It appears the sock monkey is being coached by the DNC.

Right now I can see a lot of parallels to the list of grievances stated in the American Declaration of Independence.

    2. Jughead will be shocked when he too finds himself on the list. The most useful of idiots are the first to be eliminated.

      1. He’s using Trudeau as a useful idiot. The NDP gets everything they want, and Trudeau takes the heat.

        1. I don’t think he can take advantage of it. He will lose the ensuing power struggle. Too many have too much invested in the name and cult following. Singh cannot complete with that.

  4. The MSM will parrot the government lies ad nauseam. Too many brain dead ewes will stomp their feet in righteous indignation if you point it out.

  5. I tried to politely explain to my sodomite cousin in Ottawa, who ‘works’ for Elections Canada that the country has basically carried on w/o that section of Ottawa functioning. So, one would surmise that part of the country isn’t essential. Of course none of those folks see the logic of the situation.

  6. An emergency where you take the weekend off.
Canadians have always had a reputation for being laid back but this is a whole new level.

    1. But this is just an established custom for which the precedent is the PM declaring a national day of recognition and then jetting off to Tofino.

  7. Since the CPC doesn’t need to show up for work then they have time to join the demonstrators. Looking forward to it. (don’t judge me)

  8. They are basically saying the implementation of the Emergencies Act has created a situation where it is too dangerous to debate the Emergencies Act.

    Furey’s quote nails it.

    That’s seriously fucked up.

Is this simply the SoH’s decision, or did he roll out of Tick Tock Trudle’s fart sack this morning to make the announcement?

    1. Well … when your ultimate goal is the sweeping removal of Rights and Freedoms … I’d say your PM has received superb advice from Dear Leader Xi. You don’t believe Trudeau is acting on his own, do you? His Basic Dictatorship resembles Xi’s Basic Dictatorship to a tee.

Next: Canada’s introduction of Social Credit Scores for its prisoners, err citizens.

      1. You don’t believe Trudeau is acting on his own, do you?

He might be. After all, he had a privileged upbringing. He, coming from a “broken home” (boo hoo!), was likely refused nothing. He probably got away with all sorts of nonsense because his daddy was prime minister. (Yeah, being the son of the boss does have its privileges–I’ve got some stories about that.)

He may well believe that he is the lord of all he surveys and that it is subject to his whims.

    1. Excellent clarification.
Helps me understand that the problem is not (necessary) the emergency act as such, but the false/invalid invocation of it.

  9. Earlier in the week I suggested that Trudeau was bluffing and was ridiculed. Here is my logic.

    * Monday 14 Feb. Trudeau announces the Emergency Act which must be ratified by Parliament and the Senate within 7 days , or it lapses .. whatever that means as it wasn’t ratified !

    * The Police begin a few token arrests as a show of strength and begin possible expulsion of the truckers under the guise that the Emergency Act is actually in place.

    * Trudeau delays ratification for 4 days and vanishes on the 5th day Friday

If the Emergency Act actually does specify it must be ratified with 7 days , the 7th day is Sunday 20 Feb and the House has adjourned as of Friday 18 Feb and won’t convene until Monday 21 by which time the pending Emergency Act has expired.

Feel free to debunk my logic.

      1. I’m reading that Trudeau has until Monday morning, as long as it is before the exact time the emergencies act was invoked on Monday February 14.

    1. They’re scheduled to meet over the weekend. Senate isn’t scheduled to be in session until Monday, though.

    2. I believe you’re bang on, this way he runs zero risk of being defeated which would be a crushing blow to his goverment.
Earlier on I mentioned here that liberal lawyers would have advised that his meeting of criteria would be a bridge that would be hard to argue.
Would like to also mention how is it the states can review constitutional challenges and make judgment of national importance and here we have had nothing . Is the emergency act not of national importance that we only have elected officials that invoke laws by polling numbers rather than an impartial interpretation of the law.

    1. And after our wildly successful border czar is finished dealing with Ukraine, she can head toward Ottawa and deal with our northern border. And maybe offer to drive a truck to show how easy it is.

  10. Our protests are a weak copy of Europe’s. We should learn from their response
    Doug Saunders 17Feb22

    Some quote fragments:

// in Europe, […]such vehicular displays of political impotence have been part of the background noise for many years. […]
Ottawa’s current “truck” protest was originally planned by people who said they wanted a Canadian copy of France’s gilets jaunes (or “yellow vests”) movement In 2018 […]
In December of 2018, President Emmanuel Macron took action – by caving. […]It helped defuse the violence – but it also sent a message that fringe groups without electoral support from any major party could successfully hold governments hostage using vehicles.
Canada’s knock-off convoys started shortly after […] As reporters have noted, the Facebook page for the current Ottawa occupation was registered in 2019, long before the pandemic or vaccination existed.
    The vax-mandate issue was a late add-on. //

  11. I agree Brian, Trudy is well aware citing CBC instead of actual intelligence reports will sink his ship he’s buying time to crush the truckers and what he’s doing isn’t remotely lawful. He’s using stolen personal information and banking info to seize bank accounts based on his feelings not the law. The tax payers will end up paying the costs for his abusive behavior. Shame on the Conservatives, day after day they carry his water while pounding their chest in front of the cameras.

    1. I talked to my bank branch manager yesterday in person.
He stated there are many rules and regulations that a government has to follow before they can seize bank accounts.

      1. And if the government is making up those rules and regulations on the fly? After all, Prinz Dummkopf appointed himself as the sole source of law on Monday.

    2. The Conservatives are TRAITORS to the Canadian People. One might have had illusions that at least a few would show up OUSIDE…??? Not ONE to be seen at the protests Today whatsoever as Justins SA Goons are arresting anyone in the Area.

      Fucking Beyond DISGUSTING.
I truly am going to look into emigrating to Mexico.
Canada at this point in time can Fucking well Continue to ROT…I say that wth ZERO disrespect to my Fellow SDA’rs – that is simply my level of utter Disgust with the Vast herd of compliant brain DEAD morons that infest this country and are fully complicit in Allowing this TRAVESTY to continue.

  12. Trudeau is being hammered on all sides over this – even his beloved Toronto Star had an editorial saying it is a bad idea.

Here’s a possibility of what could go down in the next few days: The trucks are removed and some protesters are arrested. Then next week, the Emergencies Act is pulled and deemed a success before a vote takes place.

I don’t know if this will happen – Trudeau, Freeland and the WEF are determined to continue the Great Reset. But it’s not a zero percent chance.

    1. John Davis …

I agree with your logic , but pose the question , how can the Emergency Act be rescinded (pulled) if it was never ratified in the first place ?

      1. I don’t know if Justin can (or will) go back on this.

He has already been proved a coward, an idiot and now a dictator. He may never get another opportunity to crush his political opponents and rule as an absolutist again.

Everything he has done up until this point is to cradle his fragile ego. Dictators do that.

His puppet-masters prompted him to put this plan in motion and expect him to follow through with it.

        1. Or…he’ll snap and have a mental breakdown. He doesn’t seem well, if you know what I mean.

Trudeau does not have the type of personality that handles pressure well which explains both the hiding and the temper tantrums experienced by Liberal MP Celina Caesar-Chavannes and Jody Wilson-Raybould, the Liberal MP Attorney General he fired for objecting to unethical behaviour when he was bullying her to give a favourable legal decision for his SNC Lavlin buddies.

  13. So the cowardly CPC AGREED with this?

    Colour me surprised. Not.

They failed us again. The legacy political parties and the legacy press are NOT ON OUR SIDE.

    They ALL need to go.

  14. 45 minutes into a call with Sun Life.
Nobody knows anything, even about the Emergency Act as it pertains to bank accounts.
Got some traction on the third call, in ‘withdrawals’, and after a bit of Googling she was amazed at what she saw.

On hold waiting for customer relations now…
I’ll recommend Epoch Times, True North, etc to them.

  15. Biden Inc. is taking notes. I don’t expect the mid term elections to be allowed in November. Too dangerous “to our democracy”.

  16. So they kinda lawfully use it but pull out before they come…

    But it wasn’t ratified

Sounds just like revolving shutdowns but now with anyone who disagrees with Dicktator Trudeau

  17. Somewhat OT, but wanted to ask.

Friend of mine, best described as a Karen, is very wound up over the protests. Karen is particularly freaked out by Pat King, believing he’s a very dangerous nutjob.

SDA sometimes links to his commentary, so I want to ask here — who is Pat King? In my own research, I’ve come across contradictory info — what I have seen of his comments on the protests seems to be reasonable, but there some stuff there that’s a bit dodgy. And Karen also sends me links to some of (presumably) his rants that are are indeed in whackjob territory.

Just wondering if folks here could comment and fill me in.

    Thanks!

  18. Regarding the compliant media; In Windsor the media was removed from the area and were put into a small area where they were allowed to report. They all complied. Now the police are telling the media in Ottawa where and when they can report. These are the same tactics that China uses to control the message.

  19. 1 Samuel 8:4-7
    (4) Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah,
    (5) And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.
    (6) But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD.
    (7) And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.

    1 Samuel 8:18
    (18) And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not hear you in that day.

  20. The speculation is that the “intelligence” the Trudeau government cites as evidence to justify the Emergencies Act is so weak that they are too embarrassed to debate. Both the Liberal Party and NDP would look like fools. Everyone is noticing that all of a sudden Canadian MPs have lost the ability to use Zoom…which has been standard practice for 2 years. That seems suspicious and I’ve not heard a reasonable explanation for their inability to have a virtual debate at this crucial moment in Canadian history.

The fringe opinion is that police forces will use the weekend to plant and manufacture evidence for the Liberals and NDP to support the EA. Normally I’d find that too be far fetched but Trudeau Liberals have shown zero ethics or integrity and the conspiracy theorists have had a pretty good track record for the last 2 years of this pandemic.

    1. Their intelligence, consists of what CBC has written. How sad is that, in absence of any real intel they’ve resorted to quoting their loyal Liberal PR arm of the party.

  21. Make Canada Great Again?

The leader and spokesman for the truckers, B. J. Dichter, has called the Ottawa city council “communist,” but he’s also willing to point a finger at the broader problem. “Erin O’Toole was such a failure as [CPC] leader, because he was chasing Trudeau off the communist cliff,” he said, but “it’s the political class that needs to be purged of this garbage.”

    https://www.fff.org/explore-freedom/article/make-canada-great-again/

  22. Let’s not forget the insane and vicious David Lametti, the regime’s “ Justice “ gauleiter.

He has identified donating to truckers as terrorist financing, AND now has extended his remit to threatening members of “ pro-Trump movements “.

Trudeau is a mad dog. When will the political class stop him?

    1. “Trudeau is a mad dog. When will the political class stop him?”

Never. It’s up to us peons.

  23. Opposition MPs should go to “The Zone” and spend the day with the truckers. It would be an interesting stand off if the RCMP tried to stop Candice Bergen and Pierre Poilievre (sp?) from passing a checkpoint.

    1. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s an excellent opportunity, but I’ll be very surprised to see it happen. It’s beneath all of them.

      1. On that note, I just called up my MP’s office to find out if she was going to be at the protest pressing flesh. Nope. Not a chance. “MP’s & staff have been told to avoid the area, security concerns, blah fucking blah.”

I told the gal on the phone that it was too bad, it would be an excellent opportunity for my MP to exhibit some support for the protest & protesters.

        “I’ll pass your advice on.”

        Riiiight.

        1. Safe for kids to play ball-hockey in the streets, safe for 5 year olds to play in a bouncy castle, but too dangerous for our “leaders.”
          They can all fuck off.

          1. Well, the obvious question came to me after I hung up the phone: “What threats?”

Then I shook my head & realized I wuz tryin’ ta logic a Prog (even though she waves the CPC banner).

        2. I called my MP’s office the other day. Got voice mail for Ottawa office, left a message and then called local office. A lady answered and I gave her my message.
She told me she would pass my message on. I said that’s about all that will happen.

        3. Watching the live feed from Ottawa..1 of them

GUTLESS WANKERS: the Entire CPC…ABJECT COWARDICE as Families with school aged Children are manning the lines and yet this entire lot of SPINELESS GARBAGE has not 1 ounce of intestinal fortitude to go out and support those who are fighting for THEIR Very FREEDOMS….???

Wow….every Fucking one of you Disgusting Kunts will hear from me..!!
          Count on it.

          I am beyond pissed here….
Does ANYONE have a complete List of Everyone of their E-mail addresses..??

  24. ‘Building the economy from the heart out’ or whatever his idiotic noise was.

    Idiots voted for that.

    1. Don’t forget the classic, “The budget will balance itself!”

Anybody who couldn’t see from a light year away that we’re dealing with an empty husk here should immediately have had their voting rights stripped.

  25. One solution, just have everyone walk away and leave the core empty with all the cops standing around.

Sure they can plant things, break into trucks (read High River, AB) but at least a court ordered police body cams will show different.

    Sorta like before and after.

In this moment of crisis, the cabinet can’t meet in some other town? Use Zoom? Carrier pigeons?

Indeed we are the fools here thinking a protest will change things. Like Trump, we just exposed it, but that’s not enough.

I’m waiting for the Omega strain, the one that ends everything…

  26. I am weeping for my country. My father, a colonel in WW2 would be crying with me. Miss you Dad.

    1. “My father, a colonel in WW2 would be crying with me.”

      Jesus, Annie, that hit hard.

Dad was too young to join. Had 2 older uncles & a great uncle make the trip & return. None of them ever wanted to talk about “over there”. I don’t know anything about their units, tours, ranks, nothing. A friend filled out the request forms for me about 15 months ago & sent them in. Haven’t rec’d a response yet. Good enough for gov’t work.

One of the reasons I’m doing what I can is in memory of the sacrifices they made.

      1. I think many of those who fought in WW2 were reluctant to share their stories. My Dad rarely spoke of what went on there, except for the occasional anecdote, but never about how horrific it must have been. I believe he was protecting us and just wanted us all to be free and happy and live our lives in peace.

    2. As am I.

Mine was on the other side of the FENCE…in a Slave Labour Kampf
Also RIP and Crying for sure..

  27. The UK Parliament continued to sit through the Blitz. The Luftwaffe demolished the commons chamber in 1941.
Obviously bouncy castles and hot tubs are more terrifying than Goering’s Junkers.

  28. The hypocrisy of moron Trudeau has no limits.

In Canada, or wherever, the wokeists and their elitist puppet masters, were never going to give up their power without a fight. We are now seeing that battle very clearly in front of our eyes.

  29. By today’s measure of courage, peaceful, unarmed, citizens being arrested, one at a time by hundreds of robo-cops, and buffered by secure buildings and hundreds more cops, is the equivalent to the Reichstag fire which shut down another famous fascist’s parliament. The international community looks on seeing the disgrace that passes as Canada’s government. When the foreign press looks like Rebel News or TN to our corporate media lackeys of the Spawn, what must they be thinking.

  30. So violent protesters with axes are no threat to Canada but bouncy castles and opinions Trudope doesn’t agree with is a reason to shut down democracy. They say if you live long enough you’ll see everything, watching Canada go full blown China thanks to the liberal party of Canadastan and the Stalinist ala NDP is something to behold. Someone at the Conservative Tree house called Justy ” Justin Stalin” it seems so fitting.

  31. hmmm….LOT’s of comments here discussing Trudeaus state of mind.

I for one Do NOT in Any way shape or form think he is “off his rocker” – “Mentally unbalanced” or anything even close to that.

We are dealing with a Fully narcissistic adolescent (but not stupid), Calculating Filthy Rotten French CRIMINAL who has some very devious advisors: Butts – Telford et all. He knows this has FUCK ALL to do with the Virus….it was NEVER about it anyway.

IMO there are two main reasons for his full on TYRANNY:

1: Maintain the Mandates for Vaxxing and continue the VAX PASSPORT system – Aka ChiCom Social Credit scores system of TOTAL DIGITAL DOMINATION as per his ChiCom advisors and the WEF.

2: He has a personal Investment in Arbutus and Acuitas Pharmaceuticals – makers of the lipid nano particle. Which is and has been in EVERY Jab given WORLD WIDE. Ending the mandates kills this, his golden goose.

To me this is nothing more than the largest scale of Criminal Racketeering I’ve ever seen or heard about.

    Vivian Krause:
I think we could use your help..!!
Digging into WHO holds Arbutus/Acuitas Stock in Canada.

  32. May I suggest that every one who supports the truckers go to the grocery store without a mask. My daughter went to the store sans mask and 2 people took theirs off. There is still hope!

  33. And all those tow trucks that were headed up there? I guess they went to be scabs instead of men. No wonder one of the drivers was wearing a ski mask. I wouldn’t want anyone to know I was involved in something so shameful.

  34. Ask the CUPE boys and girls if their union dues constitute a donation if they are on strike and anyone striking does anything illegal.
Or if the government just decides that one of their members did something illegal.
Do all their bank accounts get frozen, legally?
Can the government freeze their pension money?
The way to convince a government union member is to appeal to their self interest.

Sun Life sounded somewhat concerned about this when I called them and after they had done some looking.
TD bank is oblivious to the dangers and on Trudeau’s side from what I could garner from the couple of people I talked to at the local branch and at head office.

I was surprised at how little they knew about the actual facts so the calls were likely worthwhile.

  35. Somewhat local radio talkshow host started off today once again trying to defend main stream media as being unbiased.
It would appear Trucker supporters refusal to entertain the main stream media is starting to produce some results.

  36. I admit .. I didn’t think the cops could pull this off. But they’re doing it, right now. They got the numbers they needed. They have the force. They’re arresting every last person in that zone and hauling them away in cuffs or zipties, and they’re not stopping until they’ve got them all. Then they’ll keep the fences & checkpoints up as they remove the trucks.

So by Monday, Trudeau will be dancing his victory lap, and peaceful protest in this country is dead & buried.

    1. Dead and buried? Or just entering phase 2? Seeing as the organizers assumed they were going to get arrested I would think that they planned for this outcome.

      1. CBC and MSM will gloat a “Great Victory for Dear Leader!” in the headlines for now.

Kinda takes me to the scene in Midway where the last surviving Japanese carrier captain smiles thinking he has turned the tide. Then the dive bombers show up.
