Personal observation, from what’s been going on particularly this weekend. People are desperate to turn these peaceful protests into something violent and they’re pulling out every dirty trick in the book. Hysterical rhetoric and threats from all three levels of government, Cops doing a number of illegal and questionable things themselves, anti-freedom counter protesters slashing tires, spraying graffiti and other kinds of property damage.

Don’t take the bait. Stay calm, stay peaceful, take all the shit and abuse but don’t respond in kind.  Your camera is your best friend. So are groups. The hyenas are surrounding the herd nipping at the heels of everyone and going after whoever gets separated from the group.  Look out for each other, keep the batteries charged and record everything.

Additional note: Even if you’re not directly involved in things be aware of your surroundings. Last week we saw video footage of a police officer visiting an old lady because of comments she’d made on her facebook page. Today we’re seeing headlines from the obsolete media about the seizure of guns and ammunition in Coutts. Word on the ground is they raided a number of farmyards and isolated houses in the area to get the guns to generate the headlines. Like I said dirty tricks.

    1. According to Keean Bexte’s latest tweets, Freeland has announced she’s going to “regulate” crypto, and has authorized banks to seize customer accounts without warrant.

      And in other news, Maximum Leader Fidelito has announced “Cuba is still a free and democratic country. [off mike] Wait, did I just say ‘Cuba’?”

    I downloaded stickers from Anti Bulling sites if someone is particularly nasty to me on Saturday walks in Calgary, I offer them a “STOP BULLYING“ sticker.

    So far I haven’t been bothered further.

  5. I’m wondering what would happen if every self employed Canadian just quit and went on Government assistance – EI or welfare. A switch from paying into the system to taking out from the system. An advance on the Universal Basic Income Program. Because I can only imagine there are many people out there on the edge, financial and maybe otherwise.

      Unfortunately self-employed people cannot go on government assistance. I was a small business owner for more than 14 years and for various reasons I gave up the business. When I applied for benefits I was told that I did not qualify because I was a former business owner. Turns out you have to work full-time for a company as an employee for something like 40 weeks before you qualify for EI or welfare.
      Even after I found full-time work that was seasonal and lasted just 2 1/2 months I was not eligible for EI. I didn’t even qualify for upgrading training because I had not been unemployed for more than 6 months. I remember saying to the EI person, “If I’m unemployed for 6 months, I’ll be living in my car.”

  6. For those of you out there at the protests, if you’re talking withthe police, be sure to broach the subject of a general strike and suggest the police join in. Suggest that they call in sick or otherwise take time away from work. I’m sure there are lots of officers who are feeling conflicted about what they are doing – give them encouragement to do the right thing – even if it is baby steps.

    Sorry Jason, I don’t believe them.
    This is the same group that arrested farmers for selling their wheat in Montana some decades back, contrary to the regulations of the CWB. (At a 20% discount!)
    Recall also these clowns also “Broke into and entered” homes in High River about 6 or 8 years ago and “Stole” firearms during the flood.
    So Jason where did they get the most recent guns?

    1. Hunting coyotes is legal all year long in most areas of Alberta. Why shouldn’t some of these people have rifles?

Nowadays I don’t know all the bullshit laws so I don’t. These seizures are likely pure bullshit. I’m sure the RCMP are targeting protesters with gun licenses.

  13. For what it’s worth, the leftists are getting similar advice from their organizers, not least because word is out that the truckers WILL make an example of anybody daft enough to pick fights. Their orders are to sit tight, look pretty for the CBC cameras, and wait for the cavalry to arrive.

    The video from earlier today is the exception. You don’t have to make too many examples of leftists to get the message across, it turns out.

  15. Yep, try not to get your blood boil for nothing. I know it’s hard not to, for ex heard like ~1hr or so radio 640am Jeff McArthur and 1010am Solomon and Jim Richards. My God, what a bunch of bastards. All of them licking Turd’s boots and allowing all the berserk useful idiots to spew their garbage in phone calls. Whoever doesn’t speak the approved truth, is quickly dismissed “don’t have more time”, “well, it’s not like that” etc. Solomon in particular is a disgrace, terrible human being. Thought a few times to call in but really, what’s the point? You will be quickly dismissed if even remotely they sense you’re against the grain. I saw this morning at CBC News: “Comments closed for this topic” although the topic was hot, it was about Emergency Act idea theTurd threw out there. They got 6K or so comments most of them not friendly and they decided to close 🙂
    So really, it’s not worth it. Better to hold the line, help the truckers any way we can and continue the fight.

    1. I used to listen to Solomon’s radio show and others right up until two years when they went full on with the “narrative”. They are simply nauseating now. One wonders if the same obedience blackmail tactics used on politicians have been used on key media players ?

And the truckers have definitively won : most province announced ending of covid restrictions, Trudeau went into hiding, Canadian-style copycat protest convoys went international, Trudeau has to go nuclear to handle the most peaceful “occupation” in modern history

    Trudeau has shown the world and Canadians that 1) he’s a coward 2) he has zero diplomacy skills.

    Round 2? If Trudeau continues with discrimination, segregation and violating Charter rights and human rights then I wouldn’t be surprised to see another mobile protest when the weather warms up. Truckers, farmers, ranchers, working class….plus bikers.

    3. Well Jim, I donated $50 bucks to Go Fund Me, and when that was revoked, I doubled my donation to Give Send Go! Soooo, I guess they have my information, and will eventually get around to give me a spanking, at some point. I’m small potatoes on such a big list, so it will be awhile. Meantime I’ll be looking for other avenues to support my subversive activities. If anyone has found, or discovers any such avenue, I sincerely hope they post it to sites, so us low level subversives can continue with financial support. If the little dicktaster thinks this will just go away because he has a temper tantrum, and stamps his feet, he has another thought coming. This will just add to the resolve of all of us!

  29. I like Dr. Peterson so don’t take this out of context. He didn’t address the fuse that started all this. The vaccine mandates. Take the shot or get fired. How can you go back to your normal life if you can’t work, without accepting a provenly unsafe and ineffective experimental drug? You can’t be forced or coerced into accepting this vaccine but that’s exactly what the mandates attempt to do. Now apparently to be backed up by the Emergency Measures Act…
