As a point of reference this morning the protesters were in the intersection by the McDonalds. The obsolete press was positively giddy at the thought of finally getting  the mass arrests they’d been asking for. It didn’t happen. They moved the crowd a bit down the street put up some concrete barricades and called it a day. The bridge remains closed.

  3. I forget who said it first, but sounds like Diane Dean (Ole Bug Eyes herself from Ottawa City Council) missed an Amazon delivery of high fat espresso latte 20 pack.

  8. Peter Sloly is a good, honourable man who said, repeatedly, that this is a political problem without a policing solution. His job is to keep order, and he has done so ably.

    The politicians screaming for blood have only moved from denial to anger.

    McGregor’s contacts have had to listen to their audibly intoxicated bosses demanding to know why Sloly hasn’t ordered opening fire on the rednecks, because the pigs wouldn’t have hesitated if it was BLM, amirite?

    This ends when Trudeau accepts that his only realistic options are exile, surender or suicide, and finds the courage to pick one, so an adult conversation about what replaces him can begin. Not before then.

    If the Ottawa city fathers aren’t ready to accept that, tell them to hang up and fix themselves another drink.

  10. I lived though (well I watched live 24/7 on four TV channels from a county away) the four bloody days and nights* of the George Floyd riots in Minneapolis. Ottawa is going on 14 days.

    How many Ontario police officers Injured? Killed?
    How many Ottawans Injured or Killed?
    How many buildings looted?
    How many buildings burnt down to the ground?
    How many families displaced by damaged and destroyed building?
    How many cars looted, smashed, and/or burnt out?
    Any stores looted?
    Any government offices ransacked?
    Tell me how bad it is in Ottawa? Show me the body count! Show me the devastation!

    Otherwise Ottawa Karen should F### Right OFF!

    All I see is big trucks, laughing families, bouncy castles, free food, and dance parties.
    Maybe THAT is what is making the Karens of Ottawa so upset? The protesters are not sullen, angry, and violent like those Ottawans? They are resolute and determined, but still happy and having fun Maybe the protesers are having more fun in Ottawa then the wokescold residents ever did?

    1. Nobody has actually been hurt.

      The police know the truckers aren’t the enemy, and the bolshies, jihadis and black supremacists know they don’t stand a chance in a fight with the truckers.

      It’s the elites who are seeing their entitlements and their power over other human beings slipping away before their eyes.

      They’re the ones throwing an alcohol-fueled tantrum, screaming for blood and gore, not the truckers.

      Ottawa’s finest are ignoring them. They know that the only way to end this is for the Trudeau government to step aside in favour of something that can command the confidence of the Canadian people and be trusted to govern in their interests.

      The Trudeau gang can get out of the way or be hit at top speed. Ball’s in their court.

  13. I call BS. Glen McGregor is one of the top liars in MSMedia. Another BS just spewed at CTVNews: the War Memorial was desecrated today by individuals calling themselves veterans.

    1. Lawsuit. Take the reporter, the fact checker and the producer to court personally for slander/libel.

  17. I’ve heard a number of folks say “get out of my city”. They weren’t city councilors but the councilors may as well have said it.

    All I can say is that your city has the privilege of being the capital city. This comes with some responsibilities and one of those is welcoming protesters to town who have grievances with the national government that resides in the capital city. As such Ottawa belongs to all Canadians, if you can’t handle this responsibility then perhaps you should find a different city in which to reside.

  19. I listened to Castreau last week and I could have sworn he said in government gibberish way it’s up to the police to handle this.

    To me that sounded like he gave the police the authority to do what they thought was necessary to end this; to me it sounded like he gave Sioly the power to end this and the power to negotiate since the power falls with the police to handle this. I don’t think he meant it that way but words have meaning; it just matters what meaning you give the words.
