As the narrative shifts, hopefully we will hear more calls like this one to stop the demonization of the mandate protesters.

“This is treason. This is a group of well-polished, professional people that are trying to overthrow the government, the democratically-elected government of this country,” Deans said.
Diane Deans is an utter imbecile and a disgrace to the City of Ottawa. If she’s looking for traitors, she should turn her dull, cretinous stare on globalist cheerleader and destructive capitalist scumrat Carney, whose Canadian citizenship should be revoked for selling out this country to his globalist masters.

So why Canada, why now? I bounce between the thoughts that it was just a spontaneous movement, whose time had come, or that there was a greater strategic/logistical mind behind the Canadian convoy. If it is down to planning and intelligence, was it a single person or the leadership team? the bouncy house was genius, the participants were disciplined, and cheerful, the activities were wholesome, the blockades were strategic,
OR
is the success of the Canadian convoy down to the ham handedness of the government? The success could have been amplified by the initial failure of the authorities to respond effectively or was it the government’s bullying and overreach. If they hadn’t threatened livelihoods, would it have come to this?. The authorities could have seized the high ground and coopted the energy of the resistance. Too late, now. Clearly, they never anticipated a spontaneous populist pushback. Did they imagine they had the full support of the public? Did they believe their own bought and paid for media? I think they actually convinced themselves that it was a fringe movement. Their flailing and cheesy response enabled the convoy to gain even more momentum. Safe to say, there are no savy, quick thinking, adroit statesmen in the government camp. The Resistance didn’t turn Trudeau et al, into a worldwide laughingstock; they did it to themselves.
One last thought. The independent media and the live streamers played a huge role in getting the truth out. This was critical. How did that come about?
Why did this gain traction in Canada and not in OZ or the USA? The Australian authorities were even more outrageous and in your face. Maybe, you can chalk up the American patience with the mandates to waiting for the results from the court battles.

One reason it gained traction in Canada as opposed to other places is the unique geography of Canada. East/West there is really only one route , and north south there are about 6 major access points to the USA. On top of that Ottawa is easily isolated as there are only a handful of viable routes in and out for major traffic.
Another reason is the Liberals have always hated and starved the military , and unlike the US Military and National Guard which have a superb logistics capability , Canadian Military essentially has nothing. The ultimate irony for the Liberals is that since they have starved the military , there is no possibility of logistic support from the Canadian military.
In Canada , anyone who has traveled to the US marveled at how lax the COVID rules are compared to Trudeau and provincial mandates .
It started out as a trucker protest but quickly morphed into a general protest supported by many who prefer to keep their heads down. Perhaps in other countries the frustration is not so widespread , or they have the backing of the police and the military to crush any dissent.

Having been on the front line as a driver for the G20 in Toronto I am worried the police will follow the same procedure when they were told by Blair to stand down in the face of the Black Bloc then on the following day kettled hundreds of innocent passers by locking them in cages. Diane Deans has announced that she is running for mayor of Ottawa in the municipal elections this fall. She wants all the free publicity she can get.
She is currently the chairman of the Ottawa Police Services Board. From her aggressive posture against the truckers you might mistakenly thing she would be tough on real crime. She is not. Despite skyrocketing gun violence on the streets of Ottawa, she has not demanded that the police do anything about it, nor has she even admitted that it is significant problem.
Do people like her actually understand this has gone global and people have seen her face? They watched her being a tyrant and on the wrong side of history?
If the people of Ottawa wanna elect a Karen tyrant, that’s their choice. They can get it good and hard.
